This phone keeps completely freezing during phone calls. It drops the call and the entire phone locks up on a black screen, and the power button must be held for 60+ seconds to force restart the phone. The battery is never even close to dead when this happens. The phone is 1 month old, has been fully updated, has never been damaged, and has been factory reset multiple times, but the issue persists. I bought this phone for my dad. Recently, my grandfather had major medical issues, so he's the person my dad spends the most time talking to on the phone. This issue has happened multiple times where not only does the call drop, but my dad is literally unable to call back because the phone becomes 100% unresponsive until being reset. As you can imagine, that is beyond stressful and literally the most inopportune time imaginable to suddenly have an unusable phone. Since the phone is beyond the return period, my only option for replacement is to go through the Motorola 1 year manufacturer warranty, which will only offer me a REFURBISHED replacement unit. Meaning if I get the replacement, I will have paid full price 1 month ago for a refurbished device because Motorola was incapable of selling a functional brand new device. And there is absolutely 0 guarantee that this issue won't happen again so I could end up wasting more time and money (I have to pay for shipping both ways). Never buying another Motorola phone again.

Texting functions were very limited with Tmobile

Group texts did not work and sending and receiving photos and videos was usually not functional. I even went in to see Geek Squad to see if these texting issues could be corrected but they were able to determine that the phone wasn't connecting with T Mobile for group texting and picture/vid transmission. I returned it for another phone. Could be this phone will work fine with other service providers but beware and maybe test it before you take it home. I have since been told this is a known issue.

Would however recommend to anyone looking to purchase any product sold by Best Buy to find another store to purchase that item. Best Buy had outrageous prices for providing assistance with products they sell. Best Buy has outsourced their service by phone and when you do get through you are talking to someone for which English is not a first or even second language in all probability. Accents are so thick understanding what is said is difficult at best. I, for one will never buy anything from Best Buy again. Once is enough!
