This phone is unlocked to major US carriers. Our phones should work in countries where you may be traveling, though we cannot guarantee all features are supported. Please check with your mobile service provider to see if your SIM will operate. This is horrible choice for old people (consumer cellular offered) to many buttons to push to receive calls, delay on speaker phone button means miss half a sentence. Not intuitive shorter battery life. Only good thing is it was cheap. Not recommended. I really am growing to dislike it. Phone calls are horrible to manage and that is what the stinking thing is for.

Unlocked is not unlocked....

I brought it overseas and only to find out that a "universal unlocked" phone is only an unlocked phone in the US. Unlike Apple products, which you can buy unlocked and they work any where in the world. What a waste of money.
