    this phone was an absolute disappointment. It does not work properly and for some random reason the screen goes black and won't turn back on until I have to reboot the phone...I do this about everyday pretty much. It is sooooo bad Ive had to go and buy an alarm bcuz this defective device made me miss alarms! It freezes, it's laggy...it's just terrible and a waste of hard earned money I WILL NEVER purchase this brand again

    I thought I might not be getting a great phone but I was wrong because this phone is great. It is user friendly, does not lag and is able to handle multiple apps running at the same time.

    Is a excelent smartphone, but it's not have a 4G Speed. I'm very disappointed. In the announcement it says it has 4G and I just bought because of it.

    I went from an iPhone to this and i couldn't be happier. At this price, I was surprised at just how sturdy this phone is. Great quality, great price.

    Moto G second gen plaqued with problems

    The moto g sec gen I bought has had to go back to manufacturer for a total software updating. Which they said they had to do. Now the screen goes to black and they won't cover in warranty and Best Buy wouldn't offer geek squad or square trade for this phone. That should have been a sign to me not to buy this phone. So, I have to go to a cell repair shop to get a new screen 100 bucks. I could buy another one from some where else but, I'm starting to think the g sec gen is not going to last very long even if I buy another new one. One thing I did do is go to square trade directly and bought a plan for the phone right after I bought it. The silver lining I get my repair money back.

    I have used this phone for one more year and now it is becoming not that smooth after a couple of Android updates. This phone has only 1 GB RAM, and I think I need to look for a 2 GB RAM phone now. I suggest you should keep the original Android version.

    New FM radio app is broken

    Don't buy a moto phone if you listen to FM radio. The new motorola FM app is broken. Motorola says no way to revert to previous working app. NextRAdio app will not work on moto phones

    Decent Budget Phone, But...

    You're better off just buying the newer version, as I did only two months later. Only thing better about this older version is the stereo speakers, the new model only has mono.

    The first day itself, the mobile got stuck and later also, the touch is not working as expected. The apps like whatsapp, facebook and gmail are not in sync automatically, each time, I have to do the sync manually an then its working. I am not satisfied with this product...

    I purchased this phone in May, 2015 and I can't hear the incoming voice. Because I did not purchase the insurance there is nothing Best Buy can do. Be careful with this purchase.

    Worked great for a while...

    I have had this phone for about 3 months. When it did an update a month or so ago, the phone part stopped working (I could still text, use internet, and even call, but the speaker or mic wouldn't work so i couldn't hear and the person I was calling couldn't hear me.) After talking to Motorola support, the only solution was to do a factory reset. I did this to mine and my husbands phone (same issue with his). His phone worked fine afterward. mine worked well for a few weeks. Then the same thing happened. It appears I am going to have to do a factory reset on the phone every few weeks to get it to work. This is very aggravating, because that means I have to load all my pictures, and loose everything on my phone every month or so. When I went to Best Buy to ask about a solution, I was told I would have to buy a new phone....buy a few phone every few months?!?!? No thank you.

      Hello JStewart,

      This doesn't sound good. If the phone works fine after a Factory Reset then it sounds like a 3rd party app that is being installed or updated is causing an issue with the microphone. Please try the phone in Safe Mode to see if the issue persists. If you continue to have issue or need further assistance, then I'd recommend giving support a call again to troubleshoot.

    The description says the phone is 4G capable but the phone I received doesn't have 4G capability in it.

      The phone is 4G LTE capable. Keep in mind though that the phone has to support the bands for the carrier you're using.
