    Motorola Disappointment

I do not recommend this phone. This phone is a horrible disappointment. The reception sucks and accessories like an OtterBox are impossible to find. I have always liked Motorola and this phone was a replacement for a previous Motorola that I was very happy with, but this was a total waste of $250.00. I ended up taking my old phone in for repair and this phone can sit in the drawer for emergency back up, since that is ALL it's good for.

Phone is ok. It is a major downgrade from my Samsung note 4. But it was $600 cheaper. Wish I had bought the 4th gen version.

Works great for 1 or 2 week. When you update the phone. It is freezing and drops calls. Waste of money. Never again.

    Terrific phone

This phone is absolutely terrific for its price. First off, I'm very knowledgeable about phones and especially the three main different OS's available on the market, iOS, Android and windows mobile. I currently use the 3 of them. Simply said this phone is rugged, compact, great to handle, excellent battery, absolutely superb phone call quality on both sides of the call including in speakerphone mode while driving with an opened window, fast without any lag in app and switching apps, and much more. However, here are the genius things about it, first of all this little guy is rated ipx 7 wich means able to be submerged in clear water up to 3 feet for 30 minutes!!! Then, the gestures, the gestures :) chop chop and flashlight is on. Chop chop and flashlight is off. Double twist and camera is on, double twist again and front camera is on. Absolutely superb. Gestures that actually work and make sense, gestures you'll use everyday multiple times in fact. But then...here comes the software side of it. Considering that at the time of my writhing this review the statistics claim that 0.7% of Android phones worldwide are running Marshmallow think that you are a one percenter as this phone is already Marshmallow for quite a few weeks and to be clear, Marshmallow is nothing to sneeze at as this is as far as I'm concerned the first time Android matters to me due to Google FINALLY bringing in the restrictions ability to the permissions requests by the app developers. That's a big deal! And lots more about Marshmallow makrnit a great Android "upgrade' rather than "update". In conclusion, a very easy phone to absolutely recommend

I bought this for my fiance since she hated her other phones. I owned 1st gen moto x before , and felt comfortable going with Motorola. Overall I am impressed with the phone. Motorola has been staying consistent with their models which is good. They finally fixed the camera issues they been having for years, and that made her happy since she takes a lot of photos. The one problem I have with the phone is they removed the talking function from the phone. You use to be able to set it up where if a call or text comes in the phone will announce the caller or sender, also it can read the message for you. But with the 6.0 update they removed that function. Well even before because it wasn't working before the update too. But this is still a great phone. Plus being unlocked and from Motorola you will have timely updates.

I did a lot of research on which unlocked phone to get. There are a couple options cheaper than this out there (Alcatel for instance), but this one had some great professional reviews. This is my first smart phone and I've been really impressed. I went with the 16 GB version which seems to be the consensus. It is really fast, upgraded to the latest Android OS as of 1/26/16, and actually very easy to use. Highly recommended!

GPS appears to be as good as my old Moto X, in terms of accuracy and picking up satellites. If I turn location off and on, the phone reaquires satellites within 10-15 seconds. Battery life has been pretty good. Normal operation, I have 30% left at the end of the day. If my son steals my phone to play games for 1-2 hrs then I have 20% left. I charge overnight so I'm not 100% sure of charging times. Performance has been very good. The phones Antutu benchmark is midway between a Samsung Galaxy S4 and a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (about half that of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge). Graphics ran at 60 FPS for simple tests and 30-40 FPS for more strenuous tests within Quadrant. Every video I've watched and every game my son has played has been smooth.

Great Phone . . . Would Have Preferred Smaller

So I went with a no-contract phone plan and needed to buy a new phone. I read great reviews about this one when it was released in August 2015. So far it's working great. I only have to charge it every other day or so (I'm not a heavy user). It has as stock android as you can get since it's a Motorola. It has a memory card slot (a must for me) which a lot of phones don't have these days. I was also able to upgrade to the latest version of Android right away. The only downside for me is I like smaller screens. My Moto X 1st Gen. with a 4.7 screen was perfect. This is over 5" so it's a little hard to do everything with one hand. It's also fallen out of my pocket a couple times while sitting. But it's a great phone for ~$200 (I got mine on sale). Just make sure you get the 16GB version so you don't run low on space.

I had a moto x which died a horrible death. AT&T stopped carrying Motorola cell smartphones so I went to Best Buy to purchase this phone. I love the size and feel of the phone, which is slightly larger than my moto x. I haven't had it long, but performance and wifi have been very good. The camera is amazing (better than my moto x). The screen is not supposed to be as nice as other phones, but it has not bothered me yet.. I really like the fact that the SD card can be formatted as additional storage for apps & photos. The phone has also already upgraded to Marshmallow from Lollipop. The one potential downside is charging time. I had the phone plugged in while I was downloading and updating apps and the battery did not appear to charge. I stopped using the phone and the phone started charging, but this could be an indication that charge times might be longer than my moto x. I did, however, start using the phone right out of the box without fully charging it first. One thing I haven't tried yet is the GPS. Hopefully it will be as good as my moto x. For $220, it is hard to beat.

Purchased the Moto G3 and have been pleasantly surprised. Paid $200 for the 16G from Best Buy. This phone does everything that the I Phone 6 and the Galaxy 7 does. Even received a free update to android marshmello 6.1. Has all the features of the high priced phones, including a flashlight, great camera, able to expand memory and is also larger than the I Phone 6. It is also waterproof up to 3 feet. The only corners that were cut is there is no camera stabilization and no quick charge feature. I highly recommend this phone.

This is a very nice phone for the money. Everything works well. Was was to get started. Android Marshmallow does not support migrate so do the migration from the old phone to the new phone before you do the upgrade of software on the phone.

Former iPhone User Loves The Moto G

I had been wanting to switch from iPhone to Android and read so many good reviews about the Moto G 3rd Gen. I wanted a larger screen, but didn't want to spend $500 plus for a larger iPhone. I really like that it's nearly stock Android and the phone updated to Marshmallow right away. I was able to download the Android version of the same Apps I had used for years on iPhone. I love the screen on this phone. It's so clear and bright. Battery is excellent. It does everything I need it to do. Seems like a bargain for $200.
