Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this phone due to the price and acceptable specs to replace a pricy Samsung phone that died on me inexplicably at the most inopportune time. This is my first Motorola and after its plethora of updates it seems on par to do what I need it to do (phone calls, text, surf the web, watch videos, video calls/meetings, banking, pics). I am unimpressed by its casing which seem cheap and fragile, even at this price point. A case is a must because a minor fall would probably be an immediate TKO for the unit. The most worrisome thing about the unit is that it gets HOT. Hot while charging and hot with certain apps (default Solitaire game???). I expect the heat issue will fry something pertinent sooner rather than later. Planned obsolesce is annoying.

You Get What You Paid For

Some apps take forever to open and browsing chrome using this phone is very sluggish. Also, the camera is quite bad even though it says it has 40MP camera. Most photos come out quite blurry and oversaturated. Display is only 720P but does not look that bad in my opinion. Phone call quality is as good as other phones and 5G works. It gets most of the job done at the fraction of the speed of other premium phones for the fraction of the cost.

Slow is sometimes caused by too many running apps in the background, use your recent apps button to close apps you're not using. It is also a good practice to restart the device periodically (every 2-3 days) to clear out buffers and memory that may lead to intermittent issues. A low tech, uncomplicated dream

Compared to others, it has a simplicity about it, sort of related to me. First phone I've ever owned that feels like my assistant. I'm not very tech savvy, so it easily serves me well.
