A Must Have Quickly!!

My preference for location to purchase with large selection and reliable help if he should need assistance was definitely Best Buy! Seems to be working and that is what he needed!

Also, wired Android Auto will only connect if the phone is unlocked. To connect without unlocking the phone, you need a wireless connection. Conveniently for Motorola, this drives sales of their wireless dongle for older Android Auto stereos. I went ahead and bought one since I'd been considering it anyway, but the fact that they crippled their phone to drive the purchase obviously left a bad taste in my mouth. I will avoid Motorola products in the future. The one place where this phone does shine is battery life. It almost but not quite makes up for the rest.

I am unhappy that I did not get a pen and cannot find the correct one! When I purchased this phone it did show a pen on the side so I know you can get one!

Apps constantly restarting is a big red flag.

I was replacing it for the lack of room on the internal storage and that this one was as card capable. Come to find out that you can't use the SD card to store apps on like I could on previous phones. That wasn't as big as a set back so I was ok with that. The biggest drawback on this phone is that the apps are constantly restarting. If you leave an app say Facebook to look at your email FB will fully restart losing where you were. If you have to open your messenger to find a temporary verification code when you go back to the original app it restarts so now you have to try again and hope it doesn't restart the next time try. All apps restart no matter what you're doing. I can't stand that this is a thing on this phone. I won't recommend this to others.
