We've had this phone for about a week and so far it's performing how we would want it to. Battery life is good, calls are fine and internet connections working well. Replaced a Nexus 5X and an unsophisticated user is noticing no difference except that the camera speed is actually faster.

A great Budget Phone for someone who doesn't have enough money to buy the highest rated brands.

Best phone probably for the money, but having some call issues with lower cell signals.

Bought this for our daughter for Christmas. She refuses to use it. I have not used it

My 17 year old says its "Hella fast" and " this phone is lit!" so I guess he really likes it. It was unlocked and we had to buy a boost sim card kit which was ten dollars at another store cuz bestbuy guy says they didn't have any at the store (eye roll). anyway...so far so good.

This phone is fast and does it all. No technical issues.

Bought this phone for a back up phone and it works great that I bought a second for my mom.

Bought this moto g5 for my sister in Viet Nam and it works well , one thing not sure if keep asked update couple days even though it said finish before. we set up as Vietnamese languages. It way better than mine g4, the picture very clear and shape. Love it.

I purchased this phone after reading a number of online reviews. The smart phone is a great deal at $230. I also purchased a microsd card to add to memory. For the most part, the operation is intuitive and what I couldn't figure out myself was answered by online manual or youtube.

The phone has very good battery life and can get me through a full day while using Spotify , snapchat , youtube and a few other apps that i use frequently, my main issues with the phone is the Bluetooth connectivity. When i connect my speaker to my phone and play music on Spotify then go on Snapchat to message people the phone gets extremely laggy and the music will skip and then the music will stop playing and i have to restart Spotify. Keep in mind i only have the 2gb ram version of the phone so if something as basic as using Spotify and some other app at the same time on this phone is something you need to do then i recommend getting the 4gb ram version as everything else about this phone had been good

So far I've been extremely pleased with this phone. It has all the features I want, It can be used on any carrier, and I've yet to encounter a single glitch. Compared to my previous iPhone 6s on Sprint, the Moto G5 plus on Cricket is providing superior service for less cost. I don't know whether the phone or carrier change (or both) are responsible, but I seem to have a stronger signal and no dropped calls in areas where I used to have issues. I only use the phone for calls, texts, and occasionally navigation, so I can't comment on other features like gaming, viewing videos, or camera quality. Personally, I'd rather view video on a 65 inch plasma TV, take pictures with a digital SLR camera, and play games on tablets or PCs. In short, if you want a phone that provides serious bang for the buck, I'd recommend you take a look at the Moto G5 Plus. On the other hand, I don't know how it works as a gaming system or high definition camera.

I always had Samsung’s I got this because of the price and reviews.i really like it just like a Samsung. I am impressed by everything that you are able to do with it . If you need a phone this one is waterproof and has a screen that has a gorilla glass hard to break.

This phone is awesome!! My old nexus if I had maps on the battery would die within an hour or so. If I had it off the charger it would be at 50 percent within a few hours. I had maps on for four hours the other night with the light almost on full. had like 80 percent still.

Does everything you expect feels like good quality dropped it and it still. Works

Wow -- this phone is sleek (looks better in person than in pictures). The OS is smooth, fast, and organized. No bloatware, and near-stock version of Android 7.0. At first I was confused where to turn on the Motorolla Android settings (such as the awesome one-button nav), but they made a separate Moto app for all those settings -- which I greatly appreciate because it is less confusing than mixing all the phone manufacturer and Google's settings in one Settings app. I can't believe this phone still has FM Radio when so many other phones have ditched it. One thing I didn't like was the magnification gestures (3 quick taps to zoom in). These magnification gestures would backfire because if I was typing quickly and pressed delete three times in a row, then the phone screen would zoom in and it would be annoying to get out of. Also -- make sure you get the higher-end model with more RAM, as the phone on standby consumes about 1 gig of RAM.

If you want the latest, greatest phone on the market, this isn't it. If you want a really nice, solid phone with good camera, this is it. Works great, nice clear screen, nothing more than you need. Don't hesitate if you just want a nice solid phone.

Had this phone for a while now. Can say that it essentially does what the more popular phone models can do, aside from taking high quality pictures and videos. If you're not buying a phone for the camera, then I highly suggest at least considering the G5 Plus as an option.

After my Samsung phone was damaged, I needed a new phone but I didn't want add an extra payment onto my already expensive Verizon bill. So, I opted for this pretty basic cellphone. It's a good option if you want a cheap basic unlocked smart phone. I give it an "OK" rating, not great but not horrible functionalities.
