I would give this phone a 5 star but coming from a Samsung galaxy phone, I don't like the limited customization from Moto. But can't beat the price.

I returned an iPhone 7 because I refuse to pay for an upgrade. Instead, I went the Moto G5. It has everything I need. Calls, texting, and surfing work well.

Bought this to replace my Moto X Pure, which was having some battery and screen issues. It's not as much of a downgrade as I thought it would be.

Good price for an unlocked phone doesn't have all those unneeded extra apps. a regular phone has from a carrier. Simple but does what you need it to do.

I wanted a new cell phone to replace my old Moto G. Since my old phone was pretty good, I was open to upgrading to a newer version. The Moto G appealed to me because it filled my moderate needs at a reasonable price. Online research was very helpful for making a decision, including looking at customer reviews on the Best Buy website. Then my decision was finalized when the newest version of the Moto G went on sale at Best Buy. The new phone has performed well and met my expectations during the first couple of weeks of use.

Picked this phone up with goal of not having to buy a phone through carrier on an "installment" thereby saving a few hundred dollars. Yes, the price was good, but that's about it. Even mild usage will run the battery down pretty quick, and this is after just two months. I have had apps I downloaded just disappear. Fortunately, they reappeared after a restart, but I would not be surprised if at one point they just disappeared for good. There's been other issues as well. I'll be very surprised if this phone makes two years.

      Hi Android,

I would feel the same way if I'm in the same situation. We usually do some troubleshooting steps to figure out the cause. Battery draining sometimes is caused by third-party apps or any other apps running in the background. Even if they are not being used in the foreground, they are still running in the background and used much of your memory storage. There are instances that apps disappear on the home screen if it happens that apps are saved to the SD Card. And only a restart would make them back. We suggest saving your media to your SD card or through a cloud storage to save more space and use the phone's storage for apps and other stuff. If you have any other concerns, feel free to reach out to us to further assist you.

It's got the features I use mostly. Would be nice to have NFC and compass, but not worth the extra money for the amount of time would use it.
