Don't count on Motorola for warranty service
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had this phone for about 5 months when it stopped receiving texts from anyone not in my contacts. I got a new SIM from my provider and when that didn't work I contacted Motorola. We ran through some checks and they decided that I needed to send my phone in for repair. After they received the phone, I get an email that my warranty was voided by "water damage" and they sent a picture of the charging port with a tiny amount of corrosion. Well, it is an open port, and there is a thing called humidity, so this isn't really surprising. I had no trouble with charging, and the internet is full of recommendations on how to fix this common problem if you do. The charging port also has nothing to do with why I could not receive texts. But Motorola used it as an excuse to get out of the warranty and turn my phone into a brick So buyer beware! This is not a company I will be dealing with in the future, and you may want to think about your investment before you do too.

I've been using Motorola Moto G's for years; it does everything I need a phone to do: make calls , check email, a little net surfing, games, etc. It handles multiple programs easily. The battery lasts forever; charging nighty I've yet to see it drop below 85%. The screen is bright and clear; it may not be as vibrant as an AMOLED screen, but unless you're doing professional video work, I don't see the point. If you want a quick, reliable, quality phone for a price that won't break the bank, this is a gerat choice,

The battery life is very good and charges quickly. 1st phone kept dropping the network (Verizon) but I exchanged it. Screen is clear and phone is quick to respond. I'm a bit disappointed that they didn't stay with dual speakers but I use a bluetooth speaker so it's not a big deal. The side fingerprint reader is so much better than the back on the 2020 model and is very quick and accurate. I came from an iPhone 12 for many reasons, price and poor battery life being the main ones. Has a solid and study feel.

Since my wireless carrier is Visible, I have a short list of unlocked phones I can use. This phone is quick enough for what I need, and has a lot better battery life than the pixel 3a. Its a bit big though. Would give five stars, but they moved the fingerprint scanner to the power button. This makes it hard to get a good scan with the phone case on.

Satisfactory phone

I actually bought 2 at the same time and 1 was having problems with texting. After 3 trips back and forth, and 1 trip to my carrier's store, I was able to have the phone exchanged for another one. Since then I've not had any problems with texting. It was internal issue with that phone. I do wish it had separate volume setting from "ring volume" for text notifications. Having it on the same setting makes it difficult to have at a volume I like. Also, there is NO TEXT TONE able to be set for contacts, only a ring tone. Don't like that because can't tell by a tone who is texting me. I also wish there was a pamphlet explaining the cameras and how to use them.
