WORST phone EVER!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am 46 years old and I just purchased my fourth consecutive Motorola smart phone since 2011 (ten years ago). Obviously I was a huge/loyal fan of Motorola smart phones and I appreciated brand familiarity where I can "stick with what I am used to." Until this Motorola Moto G Power (2021) 64GB that is!!! There is NO brand familiarity carryover from any previous model. The designer/engineer of this phone had absolutely NO knowledge of previous models because EVERYTHING IS DIFFERENT and EXTREMELY COMPLICATED. For example, right now I cannot even USE my phone aside from unlocking the screen. There is a strange woman's voice narrating everything I click and she won't stop talking (I DID NOT turn her on!), my screen dimmed, and I cannot open apps or take calls. My daughter has Type 1 diabetes and last night I can't even tell you how many features my husband and I had to turn off in order to override the bedtime do not disturb feature. Did you want her to die?? I don't appreciate having to turn off 25 different settings to make it where I can hear the alarm go off if her blood sugar is dangerously low. My old Motorola phones had 4 volumes (media, ringer, clock alarm, and talking on the phone) and I could easily turn on/off the do not disturb feature. The Moto G Power (2021) has an astonishing number of levels of overlapping nonsense. It doesn't even do screenshots the way my old Motorola did!! I don't know why Motorola had to change a great thing. This model is a disaster. Boo!!!! X 1000!!! Look Motorola, my children have iPhones and I do NOT like them. But Motorola, I do believe that you have DRIVEN me to getting one now because I absolutely, positively DETEST the Motorola Moto G Power (2021)!! Attention all shoppers, if you value your sanity and don't want skyrocketing blood pressure, then beware!!! It is like NO OTHER Motorola you have ever owned or wanted to own. It is 100% heartache.

From unimpressive, to total waste

But it's actually a lie. They advertise 3-days worth of battery life, but that's while the phone is in idle mode. Which is useless to even measure. The phone is unimpressive. And by the time of this review, Android 11 is available, bit it bricks the phone completely. The core systems fail, apps are un responsive, the GUI is a mess and one is no longer able to control data on the phone, as there are no right privileges. Meaning, you cannot download create or modify media.

Can't recommend this phone

Like most cell phones, this one takes some getting used to. But the touch screen accuracy is quite irregular and annoying. I would go so far as to say, it's overly sensitive. Ultimately, I just don't like it and just wish it worked more seamlessly.

Today I downloaded spotify...and a few hours later the whole phone is dead. Black screen- no charging, no power on. I've had it for ten days, and will take it back tomorrow. Way to go Motorola.

Not water resistant

Had it my pocket for 4th of July night to take pictures when I noticed I had something on the corners on the phone. Not quite sure if it was sweat or water but I guess something got in and now my microphone and speaker doesn't function correctly. Went to the store next day said I can't exchange it.
