I bought it unlocked and without a carrier since he is still too young (10 yrs old) to have a phone line. But he is able to connect with friends, play games, listen to music etc

But this one was returned since Spectrum said it was not compatible with their mobile service. But I can walk into Spectrum and buy the same phone. I was moving from Tracfone to Spectrum but will move to a different carrier.

This wasn't my first choice, but that one wasn't in stock, so I got this one. It was easy to get apart, and to put the SIM card and SD card from my old phone in it. After that, set up was easy, and now it works great. Best Buy staff was helpful, thanks.
