This phone has one huge glaring problem. The GPS is essentially nonfunctional for navigation. It takes 2-8 minutes to connect. Once it connects it constantly loses a connection every five minutes or so. It was so bad on my first phone I used a warranty claim to get a replacement. The second phone has the exact same problem. It is a sad failure for the phone because everything else works great. Also the 3rd generation had a functional GPS, so I know Motorola can do it. If you can live without navigation this phone is fine, but for me it is super annoying

Pretty decent budget phone that is fairly quick and responsive. My biggest complaint is no numbers on the app icons telling me I have this many emails or messages.

I am using this mobile as my secondary mobile. Image quality, gaming, sound and all other features provided by this mobile are good. Completely worth for 150 dollars I have spent on this mobile.

I purchased this phone and I gave it 3 stars for this reason. 1, The ringtones are horrible. 2, It won't allow me to install my own music/ringtones. I've been fighting with this thing for 3 days now with no luck. Maybe I'm doing something wrong but I've had it. If you're completely tech sauvy then maybe you can figure it out but I'm not.

Shopping at BEST BUY is even a WORSE experience than that... they either charge for a defected phone of $35 was my 1ST experience at Reynoldsburg store, (my XPERIA phone had a VOLUME issue) then found out thru Grove City store that if a cell phone is defective, they SHOULD NOT charge a restocking fee! Phone Customer svc will not transfer to the store to speak with anyone who knows anything about ANYTHING or any specifics on a return coz u never get the same answer twice from those phone people- they ALL have attitudes to OR they hang up on you for being irritated. IMAGINE THAT! (Cant blame them for having attitudes though- its just that they can GIVE u one in a heartbeat) I am sure I'm not the ONLY customer who has had a HORRIFIC experience there; but this will be MY LAST TIME SHOPPING at best buy! Its almost worth losing my $35 restocking fee just to be RID of them. I'm going2 TARGET! (No Hassle)

It's a good phone if your on a budget for a phone purchase.

Another poor quality phone. Better not buying. Not good, slow response, poor camera.

I've been relatively pleased with this basic, unlocked phone. However, one of the primary reasons I bought it instead of another phone last January was the promise that it would "soon" get the Nougat update, bringing it up to version 7.1 from the 6.1 which came with it. This phone is on the lists of Motorola phones set to get the Nougat update. After months of waiting, the official word was that the update would come in June. It's now August and no update -- and the news is full of the soon to be unveiled version 8. I will not again consider purchasing a phone or another product from Motorola -- they are either exceptionally slow in fulfilling their promises or simply deceitful.

Keyboard of this Unlocked Motorola - Moto G4 Play 4g is missing some important keys such as "Underscore" key. Disappointed ..

I am lost in the middle of the freeway or anywhere whenever I use Google MAPs. Waze never works on this phone. How a company like Motorola misses such most important apps before launching the product. Highly disappointed. I am Moto users from Moto G1 till Moto G5. But this phone is not good

Bought this phone because it is sold as an UNLOCKED phone and compatible with Verizon Wireless. Took it to Verizon Wireless to activate it. Then took it home and tried to download contacts, pictures, etc. from my Verizon Cloud. The app would not download. Spent an hour and a half on the phone with Tech support from Verizon Wireless. The bottom line is that Verizon Wireless has this phone listed as a Prepaid phone in it's equipment listing and it will not allow Verizon Cloud to be downloaded onto any prepaid phones. So do NOT purchase this phone if you want to be able to download Verizon Cloud data onto the phone.

I would NEVER recommend this phone to anyone! I cannot put a new contact in this phone and expect it to be there 5 minutes later...It will not save it...I have taken it back to Best buy 4 times...Just for them to tell me there was nothing they could do. The phone works, but, save a new contact it will not do it. It really stinks.

SIM size, removable battery, and *slow* GPS make me wonder how long ago this phone was designed. Larger screen size is just that -- larger without a real improvement in screen real estate over previous generation G series phones. Best Buy charges $35 to return this phone but isn't clear on the product description page. If you are even the slightest bit unsure whether it is for you, buy it from another vendor.

I bought this as my first smartphone. The online info says it works for Verizon wireless, but it does not. They could not activate it at Best Buy or at Verizon. If you have Verizon, don't get this phone.

the phone turn off by it self call Motorola and they wasting my time by telling me to restart the phone or put it on safe mode and factory data reset i tried all this did not work .

I went from my old phone that had an indicator light to let me know if I had a text or missed call. This phone does NOT have an indicator light so I never know when someone texts me.
