I am coming from a Moto Z Force. Loved the shatterproof screen feature but battery life is poor now and it is difficult to find a way to replace the battery. So I thought I'd give Motorola's "lower" phone line a try as I prefer the Moto line, and saw that the G6 play has a super large battery. The mammoth battery lasts all day, so it is wonderful to not have to worry about charging this phone like I used to! The phone processor is super fast, the screen size and clarity are super nice, excellent camera (much better than my Moto Z Force), really clear and loud sound, a sensitive rear fingerprint reader (more convenient), and overall excellent quality and build. I didn't use the moto mod feature, so no loss here, and I placed a tempered glass screen protector and case, so hopefully the screen survives any drops! I am happy that there is now a headphone jack as there wasn't on the Moto Z Force. Honestly the only downside that I see is that it has a micro USB rather than the USB type- C connector so you now have to line up to plug in a bit more carefully, but besides that, this is a 5 star phone! At the current price this phone is a steal!

Froze a different screens, could not text or receive pics with most but not all contacts, difficult to hear a contact on the phone, returned it.

I bought this camera for my son. It is not working well.

phone seemed to work ok from the beginning, but went downhill rapidly. i will never buy another Motorola phone have had three different ones, never again.

the camera on this phone is awful, horrible, take forever to take a picture, the camera crash/error message all the time

This stupid phone burned out both my sim card and my sd card. I lost a few photos and videos that had not uploaded to Google Photos yet. So. Yeah! Nothing positive to say about that.

It reached 13% battery and turned itself off and has not turned back on.... just died...

I did not like the carmera. The picture quality was poor

This Motorola phone is no camparison to a IPHONE. It cannot rate with IPHONE 5

The worst purchase ever. Very bad reception my Galaxy was better.

Phone is not comparable with any ear buds. Voice quality is very low.

Pros: You can play PUBG on low settings with this phone. Display is good. Camera is decent. Battery life is better than average. It's unlocked. 3.5mm headphone jack. Isn't as wide as older phones and easy to hold. Cons: Was lead to believe it would receive 9.0 pie... that will probably never happen. Haven't had security updates in the last 6 months so it's probably no longer supported. Sound settings don't sound the greatest. It's hard to hear people thru the ear piece because everyone is muffled. WiFi issues a plenty. Honestly I'm not sure if I'd buy another Motorola. I've had better luck with Samsung and LG, but if you're looking for a unlocked phone that doesn't need to be charged all the time it's maybe an option. Just be prepared to be disappointed in one way or another. If it finally gets Android 9.0 I'd maybe bump my rating up to 3 out of 5 if it fixed some issues. As of now.. 2 out of 5.

I use my phone all day and everyday like most people. I expect a certain level of functionality to get things done. This phone is fantastic. Big screen but narrow so easy for one hand use. Battery is the best. On second day of heavy use with 50% left. After initial set up and app updates phone performs smooth and consistent. Coming from Galaxy S7 and I can see how much better this phone runs. Sound is great. Front speaker gets pretty loud and clear. Call quality was good too. No issues. Screen looks great and can get pretty bright. Love the build quality. All plastic. Don't like my phone made of metal and glass. Plastic phone's are getting harder to get and I don't know who decided metal and glass was better for phone's anyway. Overall extremely satisfied with this phone.

Me father works in construction and is very hard on devices, but this phone lasted him over a year. It only finally broke when he left it on the dash of his car and it got run over. He then got it replaced with his warranty and then gave it to me when I got a phone. I am a teenager and I have broken many phones by accidentally dripping them or throwing them halfway across the room by accident occasionally, but this phone never broke, not even a crack. I also have a real problem with pockets and my phone is always seeming to fall out and I once dropped it in 4 inches of snow and couldn't find it for over an hour I finally found it and it turned on fine and the battery hadn't deteriorated at all and still held a charge all day and as a teenager I am always on my phone. So suffice it to say I absolutely would recommend this phone and love it so much!!!!!

Excellent for the price. No hiccups yet. Coming from a G5 Plus, this seems like an upgrade with one exception. The camera is not as good as the G5 Plus, not as sharp and a little washed out. Not a deal breaker for me but maybe for someone else. Battery life is excellent. Overall a good phone for the price.

The only few things I really like about this phone is the battery life, the colour saturation, and the way it's design. I've had it for 5 months and keeps on freezing up, and crashing. In the past four hours, I've had to restart 7 times. The camera quality is fuzzy and blurry.
