It was great for a couple years but that price was crazy and that was only $600. This phone is fantastic and the price tag is much better. -There is no noticeable lag on this phone. Android is basically stock with essentially no bloatware. -Motorola from the factory allows you to unlock your boot loader if you wish to root it. (This will void your warranty, but having the option built in is nice.) -Looks much more expensive than it is and construction is solid. -USB-C is nice and charges quickly. -Moto Actions are surprisingly useful. -Headphone Jack is on this phone! Such a great idea! -Speaker is actually decent for loudness. It uses the same speaker that you place by your ear so the speaker is on the front rather than the back. -The cell radio (transceiver) seems to be high quality. I seem to have service more often than with other phones and more bars. Some people complain that OS might go out of date, but I believe this might get upgraded to Android P. Android O's features like Picture-in-picture are fantastic. I'd say don't let this stop you. I personally would buy this over a new Galaxy. The price and the Moto Actions sold me. The one possible downside is that MiraCast is disabled be default. (Google stock OS is the same way.) With root you can turn it on, but I don't think very many people use this feature anymore. Motorola is just following Google which designed the OS, so it makes sense in that way.

This is not typical. Let me further help. Are you still having this concern? Have you tried rebooting the phone? Do you have multiple apps running in the background when this happened? Regarding warm/hot when charging, it is normal that the phone gets warm/hot when charging especially when you are using a turbocharger as it emits more heat than the usual chargers does.
