    Great price, great phone...BUT..

I have now bought my last $800 phone ...ever...and bought this one on the great reviews by "experts" and users. My biggest gripe and what cost it 5 stars is the sensitive touch screen and the fact that the Phones MUTE icon hits you ear and half the time no one can hear you...it is annoyance beyond belief actually. Motorola...ANDROID (Google)....Please move the MUTE button down lower on the screen and solve this problem EASILY. Otherwise...for $250 it is virtually as good as my Samsung S8 only lacking wireless charging. The screen is bright and super sharp, the camera is great, and the phone is fast, WiFi is excellent, etc. Bye Bye Samsung S anything, Bye Bye Apple.....hello Moto! G6

Hi richu, thanks for your feedback. We are happy to know that you enjoy using the device. Isn't your device's screen turns off during call when you put it on your ear? Anyway, we will coordinate your suggestion on the Mute Button location with the team. Should you need further help, you could send us an email to [email protected]. -Jhei MotorolaMobility

    High performance for the Money

Has good speed to run many apps well such as Facebook and Instagram. Like the finger print reader, makes unlocking fast. Also like the USB-C power cord; it is symmetrical so you don't have to think about orientation when plugging in. Battery life seems good, charge will last entire day even when I am using data a lot. Has a lot of performance for the money.

    Definite Upgrade

I love my new Moto G6 phone! Have never owned an iphone so I can't compare it to one of them...besides I don't want to spend that kind of money on a phone anyways. So, to me I believe that you can get everything that the more expensive phone has on it...maybe more. You can customize the G6 ie take the auto-rotate off, and it has a ton of juice after just one full charge. It has a regular camera along with a selfie one. The size (and weight) is good as you can see what's on the screen fine, and it still fits in my purse pocket. And the color is very lovely...I just had to have the Oyster Blush. I can't say enough good things about this phone. Get this phone; you won't be sorry that you did.

I like this phone so much I bought it twice! Good performance, nice camera, feels good in the palm. My only problem with this phone is I'd really like the battery life to be longer. It just can't make it thru the entire day with my typical use, which consists of surfing the web and playing music continuously. Heavy use sure. I've had both Samsung Galaxy's and iPhones and honestly, this phone doesn't make me feel like I'm using an inferior product. Sure it's missing some advanced bells and whistles but this phone does everything you really need.

    Best budget phone by far

This phone is much better than the $249.99 price suggests. First off it looks like a flagship phone with the 3D glass on the back and the screen and camera are absolutely great for this price point. I purchased an asus zenfone max plus and returned it to get this, and this phone is much better in every way. Better looking, better camera and it feels like it's better constructed. Would buy again in a second. I only wish Best Buy had more colors to choose from, you're stuck with the black model.

I have noticed this phone and finally I gave it a try. Put in T-Mobile SIM and everything, including VoLTE and Wi-Fi Calling, work right away. This gives me a good surprise. This is the first phone with 2:1 screen and I have to take time to get used to it, but the screen is bright and crisp with full HD resolution. Speaker is another surprise as it is loud enough for most application. Camera seems to be OK at low light environment. The phone seems to be fast as HTC U11 life at least when playing with FFBE. There's no lag unlike other 4xx based processor. So far I am satisfied for the price. For those want to do much deeper modification. The phone can be rooted without problem. The phone is developer friendly

"Budget Phone" that acts like a flagship

Tired of shelling out $700 bucks or more for a "flagship" phone, I left my Samsung Galaxy s7 in the dust and have never looked back with my Moto G6. First benefit: No Verizon bloatware. Gee how will I ever live without NFL Football app? Where I could hardly squeeze my apps into the S7's 32 GB of storage, now I am only using 18 gb with even more apps. Speed is fine, screen is fine, the only difference is that the S7 had a better camera. And not that much better at that. Pure Android 8.0 with an announced free Motorola upgrade to PI, this is the best phone value on the market.

    Nothing exciting here

Well I came from Moto g4s straight to g6 - the good is ,processor is faster and can handle more apps at the same time ,and there is 3GB ram - the bad - I don't think the camera has any advantage over g4s ,it might snap pictures bit faster ,that's all ,signal strength - it's weaker then g4s - with old one I had signal in my work basement (and bathroom ! Very important - now it's on /off) and almost never lost connection on the road (thru south jersey woods) now ,not so much ,but not totally bad - but since phone is 2 years newer signal strength supposed to be improved ???? Battery is about the same ,maybe stays bit longer so I can't complain here ,oh and digital zoom with video is really baaaaddd ,only up future - slow motion ,overall this phone in 2018 is not a super bargain ,supposed to cost max $200 not $250 ,not sure how indestructible is cause g4s handled a lot of beating before I broke the screen - and I just hope this phone won't develop "ghost touch " like g4s - basically in left upper corner screen was touching itself on area of the size of 1/2 penny coin - very !!! Upsetting

    Works fine with verizon "mostly"

This phone works ALMOST %100 with verizon. I put in my SIM and everything seemed to work fine. There is one issue that will be minor to some people, but is major for me as I travel. Since this phone is not sold and branded from Verizon you cannot enable Wi-Fi calling. You don't even get the "advanced" option under networking to enable it. This is also the same issue with AT&T. T-Mobile works fine with everything just by inserting a T-mobile SIM. This is carrie limited and not Motorolla limited. Verizon does this with many "unlocked" phones. I wish I could flash it with a verizon stock rom and get that feature, but as of yet I have not found anything online about installing the verizon stock moto G6 ROM on an unlocked mom G6.

    Works well but some bugs

I was so happy to receive the phone when I upgraded from my old Galaxy S5 back in June. The phone has worked well and it fits perfectly in my hand, but there are a few things that I feel need worked out. The camera app keeps shutting down on me, and sometimes the fingerprint sensor does not work. Also, it can be slow at times and it has frozen a couple times. However I can live with that; I understand that it is a cheap phone that isn't meant to be a game-changer. It's a very appealing phone for the price and I have to congratulate Motorola for this nice phone. My only concern is longevity. If this phone can last more than two years, I will be very happy with my purchase. However my mom has had a G5 for only a little more than a year and she is already having some pretty significant issues. Hopefully the Motorola team has worked things out for the G6.

I have an S9+ that I'm testing against. The screen of the G6 is great, white is white, not yellowish like the S9+. The time required to boot up from power off, the 9+ wins.... of course. Time to open an app, is within a couple seconds. Not bad, not bad at all. The screen is responsive, it fits easily in pockets, as all the glass phones, it's a little slick, but it's a fantastic phone for under 200!! You can buy 4 or 5 of these for one of the 9+ or apple top tier phones.. and their performance isn't 4 to 5 times the G6, absolutely a great phone for kids, older people who aren't trying to run the 3D fighting games (I'm 40, I don't play them so they weren't tested, no fortnite, pubg) it will be a great phone. The speaker is kind of weak, but there are a billion blue tooth speakers around to circumvent that. absolutely impressed with this!

This phone is great! Now, I'm not one to go head over heels for all the bells and whistles of a new phone but this phone is definitely pretty cool. Its affordable and can still do a lot of the things that the more expensive phones can. Nice design and fun to use. Motorola didn't let me down.

Wifi and blue tooth doesn't connect. Shuts off during simple tasks like phone calls. Camera is low quality. Battery is alright I bought this phone for when I travel internationally. Became a problem when I wasn't able to connect to wifi, and had to spend more money on international phone plans to use more data.
