The only gripe so far from my son is that you cant change the intensity of the phone vibration. There is no option to do that and to do a screen shot, you have to hold 2 buttons on the same side so it's a little awkward and difficult to screen shot

    This thing sucks

This thing sucks. 1. Dropped calls 2. Poor reception, my granddaughter wife has no problem on the vsame network with an LG phone. 3. Mic stopps working and the work around is to use the speaker where everyone hears conversation. 4. Text messages require multiple taps to be sent. 5. Lousy camera. Does not focus and creates green pictures. I will never buy another Motorola

Excellent Phone with One Major Flaw

This phone was my third Motorola Phone and I was very happy with the first two. Motorola's implementation of Android is the best out there. BUT this phone has a shell made of Corning Gorilla Glass. Gorilla? Calling that glass Gorilla Glass and implying that its Gorilla Tough is a disparagement of the good name of Gorillas everywhere. The phone's glass shell is very fragile and it is slick as...well...glass. It will shatter, not just crack, if the phone is dropped. Except for that not Gorilla tough shell I would give this phone a 5 Star review, but that shell is a real deal breaker. Interestingly, if you believe Google's internet search results, G6 phones sold in Europe and elsewhere come with a clear silicone protective case in the box. G6s sold in the US, at least by Best Buy, Verizon and Amazon, do not come with that very necessary silicone protective case.

I really was excited six months ago when I got this phone. It seemed to have all the features I needed and wanted. It wasn't sluggish. NOW... the fingerprint hardware is just flat out gone and Motorola couldn't provide any support to resolve it. The screen is sluggish and often won't even recognize when I touch it. The battery life has diminished to carrying a power block to work again. I am so disgusted and aggravated. But it takes good pictures when the battery isn't dead.

More problems in 4 months than my G3 in a year

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

This G6 has had more issues in 4 months than my G3 had in years. Material-wise it is fine. But so buggy to operate! I.E.. Will be in my pocket and I will hear the "Hello Moto" as it goes through a restart sequence. Why is it restarting...no idea... Will wake it up to find the screen very dim. Go to settings to see the brightness is set at 50-something or 60 something percent. I run it at 100%. Who/what dropped it down from 100%...no idea Will feel the phone heating up in my pocket, pull it out to see the strobe/flash light is on. You need to do the wrist snap to turn on/off. So why is it now on....no idea.... Had a one-hour "calmness" audio/video loop start on its own. No way to kill it or expunge from my home screen. Why...no idea... The list goes on. I run a small business with this so I simply need a phone to reliably work, not one that needs troubleshooting every other day. I had my Moto G3 for several years. Just took four months for me to see I need something besides this G6....probably something besides a Motorola...

    Poor Quality

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

My wife and I both went from a Moto G4 to a Moto G6. The Moto G6 due to the poor quality of the antenna they put in it is constantly on 3G for both of our phones. We live in a city that is 4G everywhere with 200,000+ people in it. On top of that the phone is slower than the G4 which has worse specs. This probably has to do with how the Moto G6 processor interacts with the Android Oreo OS. I returned the phone and paid the 30 restocking fee. I literally paid not to own this phone.

Call forwarding not compatible with AT&T

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Motorola support first claimed that the disfunction of the call forwarding feature was an AT&T network problem. However, when I removed the sim card from the G6 and put it in another phone, forwarding worked fine. Then Motorola said that it may be a compatibility issue. Best Buy sold this to me with AT&T activation! I consider forwarding a basic phone feature. If it can't do that, who cares about a finger print sensor?

    worst phone ever

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I waited for 3 months for this phone to be released and so sorry I didn't get something else. The camera is awful. The pics always come out dark and many of them blurry. The old Motorola phone I had was easier to lighten up before taking the picture - just swirl the button in the middle. Now you have to aim, try to get the light meter to pop up on the side of the screen, then move your finger to the light meter to try and adjust, then back to refocus and take the picture. Many times the light meter won't pop up at all, then in some light I can barely see it. It's just a bad setup. It is very slow to open most of my apps and 50% of the time I have to stop the loading completely and start over as it stalls out loading or just freezes. It also sporadically pops up google set-ups while I'm in the middle of trying to do something else. Sometimes when I send a text, it gives me a failed note, and there have been several times after it says it sent the text, the recipient does not receive it for several days. In short, there is NOTHING I like about this phone.

bought his phone brand new thinking that the newest technology will be good. Let me tell you that I drive the same route to work since the time I had a Samsung S3, witch it never dropped a call, this Motorola it's the opposite. Very very poor reception, It does have a nice camera. I'll go back to Samsung.

    Worse Phone I've Ever Owned

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I am a long time Motorola customer so this phone was a great disappointment. This is probably the worst phone I've ever owned. In fact I took the sim card out and put it in my old g5s plus. It drops my wifi while my g5s plus right next to it running the same thing is fine. It constantly lags, freezes and just stops responding. And I really mean constantly. I got a great deal on it when I bought it. $100 brand new in the box. If I had paid $5 for the phone it would've been too much. Motorola probably has lost me as a customer due to the absolutely horrible experience with this phone.

Ghost Screen Issue, do not waste time/money on G6

First day of usage phone starts having ghost screen - random clicks, apps opening. This is a known issue I found out with Moto phones. Found out too late! Argh, spent a day moving all my apps and setting everything up - now I have to restart the process. Moto, stop producing garbage and wasting everyone's time.

    Lesson learned

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

This is the most temperamental phone I've ever delt with. Works when it wants, if it wants. WiFi in and out calls and text messages sometimes go thru (often times do not) volume is erratic, and Bluetooth cuts in and out. I've had a Samsung phone for several years now thought perhaps I would try saving a few dollars thinking this would have to be fairly comparable...lesson learned. Can't wait to go back to my Samsung!

Drops Wi-Fi Uses all of your data

Returned one G6 because it kept dropping the Wi Fi. Got a second one and it is doing the same. I’ve seen threads where others are having the same problem. After dropping WiFi, it uses the allotment of network data. Not going to do this again.

    Terrible Speed and Super Fragile

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The phone will not run well at all if you have more than 2 applications in the background, it takes 3 times longer than any other phone or computer to open up google and look anything up, and it is super fragile. Do not buy this phone, even if you need a budget phone, there are better ones out there!
