Customers are saying

Customers love the Moto G7 for its budget-friendly price, improved camera, and long battery life. They appreciate its user-friendly interface and ample storage. While some users wish it had NFC and wireless charging capabilities, the phone's slippery design and average sound quality are minor drawbacks.

Great phone at a Great price!

My last 2 phones have been Moto G series phones and I don't think I'll ever go back to the other, more expensive brands. These phones do everything that I want them to do. I guess the only thing I miss on occasion is Wifi calling, but it's not a deal breaker to me. I love that Moto phones are unlocked and don't come with much of any bloatware. This G7 is amazingly faster than my G4 that I just upgraded from. Takes great pictures, it's a smooth experience running apps, clean calls. I really don't have any complaints after about a month of using this phone. I bought one for my wife as well. Her only complaint is that the screen is very sensitive...to her anyway. She tends to accidentally touch when she's not trying, which frankly I think is user error. She was using a different more expensive brand previously. I think the screen issue is just something she needs to get used to as I feel the G7 screen is about the same as the G4 was as far as touch goes, so I haven't noticed it being overly sensitive. At any rate, I would recommend a Moto phone to anyone looking for a good phone at a great price. Again, I don't think I'll ever buy another brand. Moto is killing it at this price level!

Great Phone - Easy Best Buy Purchase Process

My only issue with the Best Buy purchase was the phone was listed in the store at 199.00 while it was listed online at $149.00. I had to ask for the online price - Just annoying. Otherwise, the purchase was very easy. The Best Buy Cell Phone Technician in the store set my phone up without any loss of information. It was, in fact, easier than my past trips to a Verizon Store. I was using a Galaxy S7 so I do not tend to chase the latest and greatest phone for $1000.00. I tested this phone against a S10+ and it was in most cases, just as fast. I am not sure why the average phone user would need anything more than this phone has to offer. Don't believe the Flagship hype. This phone is great. I paid 149.00 for the phone. I don't really care about the camera but it is certainly takes good pictures. It charges very fast with the special power boost charger. The charge-so far- depending on usage, lasts form 12-24 hours. It is absent all of the flagship Bloatware.

    Great phone for middle schooler

Motorola is a great budget conscious choice for middle schoolers, or early high school. Just buy the biggest storage model, kids will fill it with apps and photos. 64 GB memory is the biggest for this model, at the time of this review. This is dual SIMM model, love it, because you can add a SD card to store photos, video. The Power model is slightly bigger/heavier, has a bigger battery inside. By pass the Play model, only saves a few bucks. Wish Motorola would stop manufacturing Play model period, difference in price is negligible. Phone will be used a few years, so pro rate that price difference over those years, and seems a better deal to buy the regular model with largest memory. Bought a case with raised edges for it, and it still works great. Highly recommend this for middle schoolers, or early high school. Adults skip on to iPhone or Samsung premium phones.

I got the phone because the G5S Plus I had, had some bad luck on landing in the one spot not protected by screen protectors, cracking the screen. But even with those cracks that phone worked well. As for this phone, I picked it up as an upgrade to my G5S plus. And so far, using it for several weeks, with a hard case I had to pick up at Amazon, it does quite well. performance is real good. And I haven't had any issues with calls. Internet speeds via Net10 over the ATT towers is quite healthy. And as a weather person, its performance wth apps like Radarscope is very good. Adjusting brightness and sound is a bit different with this version of Android compared to the one on the G5S, but but I'm getting used to it and its ok. And its performance over bluetooth and normal headphones is quite good for most normal people's ears. As for lacking NFC, to be honest I don't really have a need for it, so missing it is no big deal for me personally. But the brightness is good enough for getting e-tickets scanned at games. last thing, battery life is quite good. definitely one of the better points about this phone. just wish BB had the accessories like screen protectors and hard cases available in the store or online when I got the phone. but I am assuming they are working on that.

This phone is the flagship phone for Motorola, which is known for having good phones with up to date specs for a really good price. I bought this for my wife who is "technologically challenged." She managed to set up this phone with little difficulty. That level of simplicity says a lot about the brand and about this phone. It's fast, takes good pictures, and does everything a modern person would want to do with their cell phone and it does it without fanfare at a good price. While it doesn't have the cache of better-known brands, Motorola quietly does what it's supposed to do--deliver a quality phone that doesn't ahve problems. My wife is more than happy with this phone.

I will admit, I was a little worries about this phone, simply because we're all taught to believe that a decent phone has to cost upwards of $1,000. Coming from a Google Pixel 3a, and an iPhone XS before that, my hopes were high but my expectations were low. I just want to assure everyone that the Moto g7 is not only a fantastic phone, it doesn't feel "cheap," like other phones with similar price points. The phone pleasantly surprised me: it's fast, the display is beautiful, the camera is great, and I can't say that I have any complaints whatsoever.

The Moto G7 is a great phone for the price. My previous LG phone presented many problems, which was disappointing as it had some nice features such as the numbers key always visible, versus having to switch keyboards, but soon after finishing paying it off, the mother board died. They replaced it for free, but it was not the same. Anyway, regarding the Moto G7, it so far has been good with pictures and memory and relatively easy to use. The battery power lasts a few days for me. I would recommend it, if you are looking for something more affordable than what the major manufacturer releases every few months.

I come from a Oneplus3 and I was thinking of getting a S10 but I really didn't want to spend 1,000 for a phone that was going to be outdated in one year. So I looked and found reviews for the G7. For $300 you get a fast processor, great camera(download Google Cam) it gets better, 64gb, splash proof resistance for water damage, 64GB, quick face and finger unlock, turbo charging, Moto features like chop chop flashlight to easily turn on the camera, what's not to like? The things I don't like about this phone is the pictures in low light aren't that great and if your hands are shaky pictures can turn out blurry. Also I don't like that the battery kind of dies fast, but the turbo charger makes it charge fast enough. I also don't like how there isn't a notification LED light when you get a text or something, but you can put your hand over the phone for the display to pop out so it's not too bad. This isn't the greatest phone ever made no, but for a phone that looks more than $300 and does everything a phone $500 or more can do, I have no regrets buying this phone. I would recommend this phone to anyone not willing to spend $1000 on a phone that's on a budget.

I am absolutely in LOVE with this phone! I am very bad with phones and in my lifetime have destroyed many phones counting from the LG Shine I have had (2) iPhone 4S, iPhone 5C, iPhone 6, (2) Samsung Galaxy 4, (2) Samsung Marshmallow J3. Ergo, the price of a phone has become the most important factor in budgeting my purchase. For under $300, I can't believe how awesome this phone is...I would say it's worth the value of at least, a $700 phone. I hadn't owned a Motorolla since the Razor and was NOT expecting to be so IMPRESSED! PROs: 1. PRICE 2. ACCESSIBILITY & HAND COMFORT- The "MotoMotions" are gestures you can make to shortcut phone commands. Like two quick chopping motions turns on the flashlight! And it's actually easy to do the screenshot with a 3 finger tap. Best feature of all, is that you can shrink your windows by swiping from the center of your phone down to the right corner...this makes the screen the exact same size as my old iPhones! GREAT FEATURE FOR PEOPLE WITH SMALL HANDS or women with average sized hands! So, you can navigate comfortably, and then when you are ready to view the screen at full size again, all you do it tap outside the small screen. 3. INTEGRATES WELL WITH GOOGLE- only useful to people who use a LOT of their services as I do. Also, I experience the fastest transfer of contacts from old phone/ cloud to new phone 4. LIGHTWEIGHT- if you care about that as a factor. If you are someone who uses a phone case, I feel like this is a big plus! CONS: (for some) 1. NOT AS FLASHY- If you are looking to impress people then you have to be shopping at a higher price point such as Google PixL and iPhones which are quickly recognized They are sleeker and have metal frames... 2. HARD TO FIND CUSTOM ACCESSORIES- they exist but only online If I lost or broke this phone, I would buy it again ASAP!

Bought this G7 to replace my first, and happy with, Motorola G4 Plus. Below are some major things need to be mentioned: Pros: 1. 64G ssd is pretty generous. 4G Ram is acceptable. 2. Screen resolution is very good 3. Camera spec is good, especially the back camera w/ portrait 4. Fingerprint scan is at a good location and works flawlessly. 5. No bloatwares 6. Battery is OK. Can last two days for an average use 7. Screen aspect ratio is very good Cons: 1. Lack of wireless charging 2. NFC is missing Deserved 4.5 stars

This phone takes good pictures, it charges quick and it didn't cost a fortune. I also have a G7 power which cost over 100.00 more and has less memory. The only thing that out classes the G7 is the G7 power's battery lasts a bit longer than the G7. The only thing possibly negative about this phone is it seems like it would be easy to damage the body. I got a case to protect it after day 2. All said this phone is a great value for the money. I made a good choice buying this phone.

I purchased my phone last night after looking at review after review, I wanted the G7. After I swapped out the sim card and new memory card, I followed on screen instructions and it transferred all my apps to my new phone, contacts, and photos! My old phone was a ZTE 988 Grand X MAX2, so I had a bit of learning to use this phone, bottom line. I LOVE IT!!! I am 63 years young and very good with tech toys, I had already ordered a case from Amazon that fit perfectly. 4 gigs of ram, 64 storgage and a 64 card, ahh. Upgrade, you will be happy you did.

Sleek and stylish phone that compares nicely to the other pricier phones on the market. Has decent camera and video capabilities. Definitely plenty of RAM and storage for most people's needs. I have "for fun" apps, as well as "necessary to modern day mom life" apps and still have room for more. Way too great of a price for all it does!! Will have to say, it's been a bit of an adjustment learning all its newer tech stuff, but it's pretty user friendly so not a big deal.

I bought the Moto G7 (XT1962-1) on the day it was released in the U.S. and I've been exploring its features for the last week or so. I'm not a power user, but I find the performance very adequate for my needs, using Google Maps, messaging, playing games, and listening to music. I especially like that the phone has an FM radio built in, but it requires a wired headset since the headphone cable double as the FM radio's antenna. You can also direct the FM radio's output to either bluetooth or the internal speaker. Motorola adds a few useful customization to Android. The twist gesture to turn on the phone's camera, and the chop motion to turn on the phone's LED flash as a flashlight are handy. I also like that the proximity detector will turn on the phone's clock and notifications with just the wave of your hand over the display. The G7 comes with a water repellent nano-coating on its glass screen and back. It may repel water, but it also makes the phone as slippery as a wet bar of soap. You'll want to buy a protective case just to make the phone easier to grip.

I was going to buy another brand/phone, but when I saw the options on the G7, and the price comparison, I decided to stick with my Motorola brand. This G7 has many new features and my main reason for purchasing was the amount of storage and the camera. I've had the camera for a few weeks now, I'm still learning the new features. For the price this phone was my best option and it will be yours too when you see & use it.

Ridiculously good phone for the money, does everything, and does it well, I can watch vids, play games, huge storage, no lag, 3 cameras, it's fast, makes good calls, tons of memory, super fast with everything, charges in 15 mins, if I had to complain, I guess it probably doesn't have " the best camera's ever", but honestly I think I would have to pay 5 or ten times as much (as I paid) for a better phone than this.

I replaced a Galaxy S7 with the Moto G7 and couldn't be more satisfied. I cannot see paying 3 times more for a S10 when this Motorola phone has a great screen, long battery life, and is very speedy. Wireless charging and NFC are good features, but not worth the extra money.

I like Moto phones. I had G6 previously and it worked flawlessly. I have just got Moto G7 for the same price. It hade 64GB and external data SIM card up to $128 GB, more that I ever dreamed about it. The camera is ok, good enough for me for occasional shooting. I have made beautiful shots from Yellowstone.

Remarkable Value, but Understand the Limitations

Simply put, for the purchase price of $250, this is the best value of performance and features per dollar that I've ever had with a phone. The battery life has never been an issue, and the TurboPower fast charging is great. Having a 3.5mm headphone jack and a microSD card slot are important to me, so I was happy to find them included. And to top it off, it's compatible with all major US carriers. I've been happily using this as my primary mobile device since purchase, and have no plans to change that anytime soon. Most complaints I have relate largely to recent updates and changes made to the Android OS by Google, but I won't fault Motorola for that. However, there are two limitations to this phone that could be significant based on how you want to use this device. (1) The G7 has no NFC capabilities, meaning it will never allow for contactless payment like Google Pay, and (2) despite having a glass back, generally an indicator that wireless charging is possible, the G7 does not support wireless charging. These missing features are minor inconveniences to me, but it was surprising to find them unavailable with so many phones supporting them nowadays. This may be enough for some to drop a star from the overall rating, but that doesn't seem reasonable given the price point.

Upgraded from a Moto G5 Plus to G7, product was ready for pick up in 45 minutes. Transfer of apps and info from old phone to new was very easy with Bluelink. All my documents and photos were exactly the way there on G5. Speed is much faster with 4GB ram, storage was doubled to 64mb. Sound quality is much improved, and appearance is appealing. Would recommend this product to anyone looking to spend $300 for most up to date Android 9.0 phone. Compared Nokia 7.1, but chose Moto G7 for the reason that it will be a new device until next year
