Customers are saying

Customers love the Moto G7 for its budget-friendly price, improved camera, and long battery life. They appreciate its user-friendly interface and ample storage. While some users wish it had NFC and wireless charging capabilities, the phone's slippery design and average sound quality are minor drawbacks.

Capable device with extra long battery life with pretty good camera. Last device was Moto Z and this phone is a great successor to the previous models. Great price point as well.

This phone is slick - in that it is quick, smooth, and beautiful with multitasking, video, photos, etc. It is also slick in that it is by far the most slippery device I have ever owned. There are no cases stocked in the Best Buy stores, so be sure to purchase one ahead of time, lest you let this thing make you feel like you're in some kind of cartoon as you watch it slide, unprovoked, off a flat surface while charging. Aside from that, it is a great phone. It handles all Bluetooth devices well including my automotive audio deck. The TurboPower charge is insanely fast - just as fast as Huawei's SuperCharge. You won't be disappointed, especially if you catch it on a sale like I did.

It's a tremendous phone for a tremendous value. Let me count the ways: 1. The SOC and RAM are capable of handling all but the most demanding games. 2. The storage is example via microSD card. 3. It has a headphone jack. 4. The teardrop front-camera cutout is tasteful and unobtrusive. 5. The camera is capable of producing some very nice images in good light. 6. Moto gestures are flawless executed and make life better. 7. The screen is nice and large and bright enough for all but the sunniest days. You can't go wrong with a Moto G.

I love this phone. The operating system is pretty much stock Android 9, with plentiful settings. I've never felt like I had to root this phone to take control of it. There is no bloatware onboard. It's pretty fast. I give it four stars because reception isn't as good as on my previous Motorola phones, but honestly it's been more than good enough, and even with weak signal this phone never seems to drop service. Good battery life. Get a fast QC3 or QC4 charger, it makes charging ho very quickly! For a hundred bucks this quality of unlocked phone is a total steal.

I'm not a geek or techie. I also don't want to pay $600 for a phone. But I wanted a really good camera. I saw an ad for $199 G7 but I was told the upgrade G7 was a much better camera so I went with that. I paid $300 for a really great smartphone with a very good camera. It has good connectivity and is very fast. I am very very pleased with my bargain smartphone. I trust the sales people in Best buy. We buy everything there after checking all around for best price. The sales people do not work on commission and they are very knowledgeable about their products. They are strictly there to help you make good decisions. I'm very happy with my Motorola G7 and with Best Buy.

So far I've used this phone for about a month. Firstly, I work in construction and use this daily. I have a case on it but that doesn't quite matter when it falls 20 feet. But I havent demolished it yet and have had it drop it's fair share already.. Which already puts it into better than most for me. Secondly, it's affordable in comparison with these crazy hyped up companies while still having the features and speed you are looking for. Previously I had a g6play and the difference between the two in terms of speed and user friendliness is night and day. Lastly, what makes you want such an excessive lifestyle with more expensive phones. As I don't see you burying yourself with it... No one actually needs one.... And they will all eventually break. To wrap it up. Don't be a fool. Don't get scammed into spending a small used car amount of money into a phone. Just be humble and get what you need.

I have only had flagship phones for probably the last 10 years. I was sick of paying monthly on a payment plan through Verizon and decided to try and just buy one unlocked and lower my bill. I was really impressed with what this phone was for the money. I do not have any major complaints with this phone. I use my phone all day for business use and spend a lot of time using it. I would highly recommend this phone for anybody.

Up front: this is no Galaxy S10 or iPhone XR, but a solid phone with good 4G LTE performance, great battery life, and a large screen at a modest price. Display a bit dim in bright light, but decent enough for most situations. Especially recommended if you’ve previously owned the Droid series of phones on Verizon (same Motorola look and feel). Charges fast with USB-C cable. Great choice for your kids first smartphone or a replacement one if you have no insurance on your higher end phone.

Almost a month in and this phone is great! Only caveat was that my carrier did not offer its own service protectiom for it bit no worries squaretrade to the rescue! The camer is nice, has a lot of cool features and gestures that i have not seen in the 700$ phones. If youre looking for an inexpensive yet latest android OS with. Good camera and features, buy this guy and dont pay 700 plus dollars for a phone that will be obsolete in a yr.

Most phones are the same. Why not save yourself some cash and purchase this phone. Honestly, it is as easy to use as all of the Samsung phones I've purchased in the last 8 years. The camera in portrait mode is pretty stunning. I came in to purchase the Pixel 3a, and instead left with this phone. I know people only think of the iPhone or Samsung when it comes to quality phones. However, no one makes a bad phone nowadays. Save yourself $600 - $1,000 and pay for the phone before you leave the store, instead of paying $30 a month for 30 months.

A few months ago I dropped my Motorola Droid which I've had for several years. It still worked fine, but the screen cracked and was starting to flake off in small bits around the edges. When I found out I could get an "unlocked" Moto G7 from Best Buy for about half the cost of a dedicated Moto G7 from the Verizon store, I decided to take a chance. Very glad I did. The Moto G7 is an upgrade. It has better sound, a slightly larger screen, a better camera, functions similar to the old phone but with added features (many of which I will never use) and it looks great. At the store where I bought it they transferred my data from the old phone to the new one, but for some reason some of my saved contacts information did not transfer. I will return to the store to see if they can solve this, I don't want to manually check and add my missing contacts. Two small problem I noticed almost immediately, though, were that: 1) because the back of the phone is finished in black "gorilla glass" it is incredibly slippery. I set it down on an uneven pile of papers on my desk and it slowly but surely slipped off the pile and dropped about six inches to the desktop (no damage) and 2) A salient criticism in many of the reviews I saw during my research was that the glass finish is particularly prone to fingerprints (very true). The simple solution to both problems is the Spigen "Rugged Armor" phone case I then bought. It looks sharp, has a nice textured finish that dies NOT take fingerprints easily and is reasonably "non-slip." It is also very compact and doesn't significantly "bulk-up" the phone. In spite of the problems I mention, I have to give it five stars because its such a great value.

This phone is everything I had wanted and more. The price, the for and finish, the processor speed, the abundance of options and camera. I'm not a person who needs a $1500 phone, but I need one that's got the speed to surf the net ,good sound ,good and clear calls, and lots of internal as well as optional external storage. This phone has got it. And you can't beat the price. I'd been an HTC phone user but it was time to switch. Motorola had been ok me of my first with the razr, now this G7 brought me home.

This camera offers the most features in it's price range. The screen is sharp, and goes edge to edge. The phone has plenty of internal storage with 64GB. The rear camera is very sharp, and offers many many setting options. The only drawback so far has been the delay in getting text messages so far. However, this is probably more an issue with our carrier.

I purchased the G7 because the camera is supposed to be so much better than the G5, and so far, that seems to be the case. The Gorilla Glass screen is performing well, and the Turbo Charge capability is great - top off to 100% in a few minutes. No NFC if you are someone looking to use your phone to tap and go pay, but other than that, it's a lot of phone for $300.

Ok do far it's a good phone the camera lacks a little but it works and is ok. Over all it's still a great phone for the money hands down, good battery life and good memory for those not overloading with hundreds of apps its a little slower than the big flagship name brands but it's also a fraction of the price so I'm happy with what I got if you want a phone with good daily function's and do what you need for daily life it's s great phone

I wanted to wait a while before writing a review. So far this phone has met all my expectations for a $249 unlocked phone. I got tired of paying a premium for a phone with more bells and whistles than I needed. This phone met my needs and then some. Good processor, adequate ram, good internal 64gb storage, camera takes good pictures (low light can be problematic), neat features like shaking phone to activate camera and flashlight (chopping motion). Phone runs good.

I've had the phone about two weeks and am very satisfied for now. I was upgrading and didnt want to be tied to a major carrier so I decided to try the g7. I was using a galaxy s5 and constantly bumping up against storage issues so I think any upgrade wold be better. The phone is much quicker and more responsive than my old phone. So far battery life has been very good, I just recharge at night. I haven't taken many pictures so can't really comment on the camera. One nice thing is that it didn't have all the extra bloatware/apps from samsung/verizon that I could never delete. For the price I think it was a good value.
