Customers love the Moto G7 for its budget-friendly price, improved camera, and long battery life. They appreciate its user-friendly interface and ample storage. While some users wish it had NFC and wireless charging capabilities, the phone's slippery design and average sound quality are minor drawbacks.

For $299, this is an outstanding phone! Buy it. I had a Moto G6 prior to getting this one and I couldn't be happier. The phone "just works". There is absolutely no reason for the average cell phone user to spend 3-4 times what I paid for this one unless they just desperately need something specific that these more expensive phones offer.

It isn't the overpriced Samsung Galaxy whatever model they are on now or the iPhone whatever model they are on, but it does just as much. Bought this for my 11 year old (this is her second Motorola) and we love it. Pictures are better than my Galaxy pics and the phone has lots of memory and is pretty fast. Only reason for 4 stars is accessories are very hard to find as everyone stays focused on Samsung and iPhone stuff.

Amazing price, amazing phone. I've had a Samsung Galaxy S5 for the last four years and was not looking forward to making a change, especially when the new Samsung phones cost around 1000 dollars. I made the jump to Motorola looking for a no frills smartphone, and the G7 has exceeded my expectations. The teardrop notch is not disruptive or distracting, and the screen is a good size. I was a bit disappointed by the camera quality, especially the much touted spot color, which does not work well at all. Whenever I try to use it in a picture with a person in it, their face gets blotchy, and often solid colored objects are greyed out depending on where the light hits. I also don't like that when you open the phone app, it doesn't take you to the keypad-when I click on the phone, I want to dial, not see my contacts list. But overall, the Moto G7 is a solid high quality phone that gets the job done and does it well. It is a solid investment, and I will not be going back to Samsung anytime soon.

For the average person this phone is all you will ever need.
Snappy performance from the Snapdragon 632 processor, 4 GB of ram and a largely unadulterated version of Android Pie out of the box. This phone should also get the next version of Android Q sometime next year.
LCD display is bright and sharp, hard to tell the difference between it and a $1000 phone unless you have them side by side.
Battery will last all day for most people. I’m not a gamer and aren’t staring at my phone 24/7 (if you do then you might consider the G7 Power instead).
Unlocked for all carriers, I just swapped in my old SIM card and the phone worked right away, no need to contact my provider.
The only issue is a slightly mediocre camera, not terrible mind you but if that sort of thing is important to you then you might want to look elsewhere.
Otherwise outstanding value for $179 totally unlocked and without activation.

My Moto G6 died after I dropped it for the umpteenth time, so why change? Just went with the G7. The battery life is good, but not as good as my G6. It's a great phone for me because I use it just for the basic reasons like phone calls, a few pic's, checking social media and emails. Works perfect. My whole family wanted me to get an Apple, but I refuse to pay their price when I can get a perfectly acceptable phone for a third of the price.

I had a Motorola Droid turbo 2. It had gotten old and the battery wouldn't last but a few hours. I was in the market for a new phone. I bought this G7 and absolutely love it. Not only can I use it all day on a full charge, when it does get low it charges quickly. It is very user friendly with lots of popular apps preloaded. The camera takes great photos, even in low light. Overall, I would recommend this phone to anyone and I would but another one myself when I need one.

I've had the G7 for about a month and feel it's been one of my best phone purchases ever. The build quality is nice and doesn't feel cheap. I actually like that it weighs less than my hubby's iPhone XR and feels just as solid as my friend's Samsung Galaxy S10. Performance seems to be maybe a little slower than the Samsung's but for 1/3 of the price, it's not a huge con for me. In fact, I'm completely impressed with all the features you get for the price and the quality of the camera. Did you know this thing can shoot 4K Ultra HD video?! I didn't before I bought it and have been blown away by the photo and video capability and quality of this phone! The only minor con for me is that there is a slight delay when capturing an image or when recording -- almost in the same way you have a trailing cursor on a computer, if that makes sense. So long as you understand that and adjust your framing accordingly, you won't take off-center shots.

I bought this phone after my Moto G6 died on me after only 15 months which was unfortunate, but I G6 worked fine especially for the price and I decided I'd get the newer version of the same line of phones. I'm quite glad I did as I got it for a great price and it runs considerably faster, has a better fingerprint sensor, more screen area and other improvements over its predecessor. Hopefully the G7 one will hold up much longer than my last G6.

This is the third moto G-series we have owned. They all have performed well. The G7 is noticeably quicker in some tasks. The display is very clear and no concerns with the camera.Pretty sure a larger sized phone is not what we are looking for. I personally do not care for the moto control feature, but that is easily disabled. I really appreciate the features to cost ratio. I fail to see why I would be interested in $1000 phones.

Bought this cell for my husband. He still doesn’t want a cell with all the technology involved. He's happy with my choice. The camera pictures is really good. Speaker has high volume. Just have a hard time on getting a good quality case, there’s non like an otter box for it. Battery last the entire day but he just has it for a month already only time will tell how far this one will last.

The G7 is the second Motorola unlocked phone that our family has purchased. I am very happy with it. Takes good pictures, and has good speakers (voice quality is good). The price was under $200.
I can't really say if it is easy to use since this is my first smart phone, but I haven't had that much difficulty figuring it out.
For me the width is a little wide, but then I have small hands. The width is a little wider than the Moto G6.

For the price this is a nice purchase. Got tired of owing the phone company payments all the time (800 to $1000 phones). This one was less than $300, tax included. It was cheap enough for me to just buy it outright. Setup was easy. Most of my old apps came right over from my old phone. Was pleasantly surprised, even brought over most passwords. That's not happened that easy before. I'm guessing that's from the newest operating system.
Never owned a Motorola before.
It was fun finding out the new features, like chop motion to turn on flashlight, placing 3 fingers on the screen to do a screenshot, and more.
It's easy and fast. I put in a 200 gig memory card and it works fine. It wasn't rated for that high of a card.
The camera can be accessed the usual ways in addition to "rolling" action, similar to a shake action.
I'm told it's not the best camera, but I had no issue.
There is a hack on YouTube that will install a better camera on it. Says it's for the pixel phone. Might try it just out if curiosity. The battery lasts me all day and then some. It's fast. It switches to other apps quickly.
I recomend a case right away. Never had a case made of glass before, just being cautious.
Only about a week into it. So far so good.

The phone does everything I need: great communication tool; camera takes beautiful pics; easily syncs with other devices; battery lasts day+ with normal use; perfect size for average size hands (obviously smaller than the Donald's). There are no shortcomings or complaints I can identify. Buy it and save lots of $$$ over the other androids of the world.

If you live in a glass house you should not be throwing rocks. if you own a cell phone made of glass there are probably hundreds of things your shouldn't be doing. Glass being glass with inherent properties not compatible with the active personality. People too busy to get a protective case for their phones shouldn't on this one. Phone on hand keys in other hand hurrying out to my truck. my arm seeing out as i turned to open truck door and the shirt little devil of a cell phone in my hand goes sliding across the blacktop. Shatters the back glassblack. Thus began of the second day I owned this phone. . Within a week both front and back glass were looking more like spider webs than glass.
Operations wise, the Moto G family of phones has been a quality phone at mid budget costs. With functions and features found on the higher priced phones the G7 outperforms many higher priced brands. It has the 4MB ram ... Much snappier operations. My g5 plus had been my favorite phone to date but the g7 , maintains the standards but does so quicker. I would rates the camera but frankly I don't know anything about it. I couldn't even quote anything printed on the subject. I don't take many pics and once I do, I rarely go back and look at them. I have owned several b of the Galaxy line of the competition. I have owned a few Lg, an Alcatel ( the worst) ,Nokia , and Erikson(also an excellent phone). Motorola continues to be industry leaders in producing high quality product at affordable prices that won't break the bank. Don't get me won't I love Motorola phone except this one. Withinv days off recurving my replacement phone the back was so shattered. Being busy on the go allot I tend to pop my phone into a back pocket of my jeans. Often forgetting it's there by it gets sat on. Well there went the front glass. I hated this phone because at $70 dollar deductible, I'm going to have more in replacement cost that I paid for the phone before a month guess by. So my recommendation is pass on the glass g7. There are other just as good operations wise phones with in the Moto be family that aren't so fragile. When will the shatter proof phones be coming out . Affordable be ones that even I a disabled veteran can afford to buy.

I am a fan of the Moto g series. My previous phone was a G5 plus and I upgraded to the G7. The screen is larger and clearer. Battery life is excellent. The battery lasts all day and recharges quickly. Numerous applications run simultaneously with no problems. The camera takes good photos and has lots of options in manual mode.

I really like this phone.... mostly because I get a solid and reliable Android phone with plenty of features and memory for a price that is far less than other Android Phones. This phone has fingerprint access (which my previous Motorola Turbo Droid did not) which makes access secure and easy. The battery is amazing. I normally go 2-3 days before I have to charge it. All in all, a very good purchase!

I have only used the phone for a couple of weeks so I'm still getting used to some of the features. I like the "read-text-to-me" while driving feature. The camera seems fine so far, but I have not done extensive picture taking yet. It feels solid and well built but, without a case this phone is extremely slippery. It will slip and fall if you do not put a case on it. The digital well-being tracker is something I use and I like. This phone was a replacement for a Moto X which was dropped and shattered. While similar, this newer phone has more features and overall, better features. Overall, a good, solid phone. Well worth the price.

Upgraded from Moto G5 plus, this phone is fast with non lags. Setup was easy and everything get copied over from G5 in less than 30 mins. I bought it for $190 during Christmas offer by Motorola.
Only issue I had was with cellular internet connectivity which I researched online and fixed it by myself.
I will definitely recommend this phone if you dont want to spend $800 to $1k for flagship phones.
