Customers are saying

Customers love the Moto G7 for its budget-friendly price, improved camera, and long battery life. They appreciate its user-friendly interface and ample storage. While some users wish it had NFC and wireless charging capabilities, the phone's slippery design and average sound quality are minor drawbacks.

Phone cuts out when talking- games lag/slow. Just poor quality- not even worth the cheaper price! I returned within 24 hours and reactivated my iPhone.

    Why pay more?

I actually bought this phone at Best Buy and had to pay the full price because I wasn't changing to Sprint (Grrr). The phone itself is great. At first I put every app I came across on it (about 50). It slowed the phone down while doing complex spreadsheets. After taking out most of the extra apps except for the 15 that I actually use, the phone is doing great again. The camera works well and the display is great. I put Spigen case on it which makes it more grippy. You have 2 choices for a phone OS, Apple or Android. My last phone was an Apple and I am happier with Android because it is less restrictive. The Moto G7 has a very clean version of Android. I am recommending this phone to my friends. It's well worth the $400 I paid for it.

I just upgraded from a Droid Turbo and I really enjoyed the updated features like camera and speakers. I can finally hear the phone in a noisy setting now. My big negative is the all glass feature front and back. It is so slippery if you don't have a case when you drop it, as I just did, the screen will probably shatter as mine did. Only 5 days old and it looks like fifty. There is no protection on this phone so please purchase a case. I was just ready to order one online when I dropped it from 2 feet. Best Buy you need to stock a protector. All the pluses of the new phone and this one thing brings my rating down. Took 5 years before I broke my Droid without a case Moto what happened

Hi Chris, my sincere apologies for what happened and we would like to help. The Moto G7 is wrapped with Corning Gorilla Glass. It is engineered to be more difficult to scratch and therefore more resistant to cracking, and its strength allows the use of thinner panes. But it is still glass and will break if it is dropped or impacted. Please note that the majority of physical damages on the device such as Cracked Display/Back Cover are not covered, and are therefore repaired out of warranty. Just in case you want to submit your phone for replacement/repair. You can submit an online request on this link: https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/mcp/service/ - Mike MotorolaMobility

    Fits the need

I finally had to replace my old Samsung Galaxy 4 after five years. It was so old that the phone companies were still giving free phones with a two year contract. I have five phones on my family plan and kept the old phone to avoid an expensive rental like some of the other phones on my plan. After looking at reviews for inexpensive smart phones, the Motorola was consistently at the top of all review. I took a chance and bought the G7. This phone does everything I need. No, it doesn't have wireless charging, but that's not a problem at all. It requires a good case to protect it, but I would have gotten one for any phone. That's just protecting an investment. Here's why it's a good buy. It does most everything that phones costing 4 to 5 times as much do. The screen size is large. The battery life is outstanding. The camera seems very good, though I don't use my phone for pictures as much as many people. It's easy to use for anyone using an Android phone. The best part is that I purchased it outright for $199.99. If you divided that out over two years, it would be $8.33 per month. Compared to the other phones on my plan, it's a steal. Assuming ongoing reliability, this phone is a great choice. Oh, did I mention it works great as a phone too?

I have had the g6 since October, ditching my huge iPhone 6plus. I love it! Faster than my iPhone. I was very excited to get the g7. I purchased it at my local Best Buy...great store, excellent team members there. I loved everything about the g7, except the sound. It is HORRIBLE! It sounds like everything is in a tin can. No bass. So I went in to the system to adjust the settings in Dolby Equalizer. There wasn't one! The g6 has such a rich sound, and a very intuitive Dolby equalizer. They down graded the speaker and increased the price. I listen to music on my phone and stream often, so I was very disappointed. Any booster or equalizer added on from the play store just decreased the volume and muffled it. I ended up returning it yesterday. I am thinking of purchasing a g7 plus overseas and hoping it works here. Disappointed that Motorola won't release the plus here, with an OIS camera, and stereo speakers. Motorola is producing some of the best phones out there, just let the US have the option of purchasing the upgraded models. I loved the look and functions of Android 9 on the g7. I loved the larger screen, and I love that they kept the glass back. The phone, like the g6, truly feels like a very expensive flagship phone. I will keep my g6 until I can get a g7 plus here.
