Customers are saying
Customers love the Moto G7 for its budget-friendly price, improved camera, and long battery life. They appreciate its user-friendly interface and ample storage. While some users wish it had NFC and wireless charging capabilities, the phone's slippery design and average sound quality are minor drawbacks.

A good phone
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got the M7 on 3/17/19 after having the G5, G3. The G7 is good phone! It has: Android 9 ( Pie) right out of the box with January 1st Security update. 64 GB of Storage (the system is using 12 GB), right now I have 21.21 GB (33%) used. The G7 has a octa-core 1.8GHz processor and 4GB of RAM. A 6.2" display which is nice. Has TurboPower™: can last two days before I need to plug it in. It has a water-repellent design. The fingerprint sensor is on the back now, very useful. The glass is Gorilla Glass 3 very strong. Micro-SD expandable storage, very useful. Speaker/audio quality is good. Overall the G7 is a great mid-road phone to have! (The G family are good). I love my G7, no problems with it so far!

Great Phone for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had it for one week now and it is working great. It work with my carrier Consumer Cellular. This is the second unlocked Motorola I've owned. The first was a Moto G5s that I had for over 2 years until the screen popped out. It does not have all the features of more expensive phone like near field communication or call over wifi like my last Samsung S5 with ATT. The battery life is great and fast charging The camera is good. I like the larger screen of the G7. For the price it does everything I need in a phone at less than half the price of flag ship phones. I got use to the Moto navigation on my G5s and the G7 has it with a little difference.

Very Good
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The screen quality, battery life, and, surprisingly, processor speed are all excellent, which is truly remarkable given the cheaper price point of the G7. I'm seeing better color reproduction on the Moto G7 than some older quad HD displays. The phone is rather fast, too, and though it won't handle top-tier resource-demanding games without stutter, users won't have any issues with web browsing or most applications. Where the cheaper price becomes evident is in the camera and build quality. The camera actually seems worse than previous Moto G models. It's not terrible, but it's not great. The build quality is more of a problem, though. To make the device lightweight, Motorola has gone with a glass sandwich design with the front and back piece separated by what appears to be a chromed plastic midframe. Plastic and front and back glass are a terrible combination, because plastic reacts differently to temperature extremes than metal does. Time will tell if you find the back piece mysteriously cracking on a cold day. I should note, though, that this is at least Corning glass. Other major display glass manufacturers make displays that crack inexplicably, so at least the Moto G7 has the best quality glass panels on the front and rear. Motorola should have gone with a polycarbonate back for greater durability. Other than that (and the camera, which is as average as most Moto cameras), this is an excellent phone.

All day battery then some.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had 3 Samsung Galaxy phones and have had glitches and memory problems. I've even had my Galaxy S5 active lock up on me. I had a Motorola many years ago and loved it. I have At&t service and I like it but you can't get a Motorola phone through them. This phone is unlocked so I can have the carrier and phone I want. Great phone. Fast, lots of memory easy to use , looks great and a great camera. Highly recommend the Moto G7.

Best under 300
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This phone has 3 flaws...not the loudest speaker..a camera you have to use through Google camera app to help get the most out of it, and some gsm lte bands missing. Speaker you have to live with. Google camera app is easy to add, LTE bands you have to read which missing. But the design, build quality, performance, skin, android, call quality and how smooth phone is...for under 300 dollars...this is the one. Motorola did an excellent job.

Amazing phone.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. An incredible phone. The camera is great, the audio is amazing, and I absolutely love all the features that make your life better. The battery life lasts all day with strenuous use and the different ways to unlock and move the phone to make it do things is something I seriously find amazing.

Love it
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been waiting to find the right unlocked phone, coming from iPhone 5. Love it, still learning it. Great screen great size, super responsive and fast, great sound watching shows, not sure what some reviews about sound, crazy. I was going to be leaving ATT with this phone. One caviate, had sent question regarding Boost mobile compatible and Motorola said yes but went to Boost store with new phone in hand and they said it would not work, not a very professional store by the way. So I drove straight to TMobile and they got it set up super quick carrier transfer and with phone.

Something's missing
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I can't put my finger on it, but there's something on it I don't like. For years I've bought the new g series phone, skipping a generation (my last phone was a g5). The 7 is big, beautiful and super fast. On the 5 I loved the metal backing and the position of the fingerprint scanner. The 7 feels cheap in my hand and the scanner, being on the back, is actually kind of annoying. I don't know, maybe I just need to get used to it. But I would definitely recommend it

Good phone, misleading ad
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded from a Moto G4. I am sure the phone will be great. My problem is with Best Buy ad that started if activated at the store the phone would be $149.99 instead of $199.99. the ad also pointed out this is an unlocked phone and you can change carriers at any time. The ad does not say this does not apply to a prepaid phone line. For Best Buy I would give 2 starts at best. For the phone 4 stairs.

Don't buy thin glass cover on back breaks easily!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchase this phone in August. Pretty decent phone for mid-range price. Lightly dropped it in a fairly heavy plastic cover and the back battery cover shattered, but the screen was perfectly intact. Actually, it shattered into pieces. I believe they did it purposely, so the back cover would break easily. I started thinking how would I replace the battery because there is no access other than this glass cover. Really poorly designed. Anyhow, we watched several YouTube's and did research on how to fix it. Ordered a replacement cover and it was a bear to fix. Lightly heated it up with a heat gun, and finally got the shattered glass pieces and stickiness off. Went to reboot it and it didn't reboot. So lesson learned, when you need a battery replaced or your back glass battery cover breaks, be prepared to pay some bucks to have it fixed. That is if it's even fixable. Disposable phone that now sits in a drawer useless!!!

Glass is glass I guess
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off, I like the phone. It runs very well and is a wonderful size to have around and fits in my pocket perfectly. However, and this is a huge however for me, the glass seems to be easily scratchable and after only two weeks of not very strenuous use it is riddles with scratches and marks on the sides and across the screen. I should also point out that I am using a case and have not dropped it once. I am not the type to write reviews, but this is ridiculous. In any sort of light I can see, just from putting it in and taking it out of my pocket, that every edge is horribly scratched up and there are marks on my screen. Like I said, I enjoy the phone and the design of everything, but you are getting what you paid for. I would suggest slapping a bullet proof OtterBox on this thing right out of the box if you want to avoid any annoying scratches or marks, as it's apparently made of porcyln.

Posted .Hi Insilentnova, We appreciate having one of our phones. The device is made of glass. Gorilla Glass is engineered to be more difficult to scratch and therefore more resistant to cracking, ad it's strength allows use of thinner panes. But it is still glass and will break if it is dropped or impacted. -Jess

Really nice phone but with some flaws
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. To be honest this really is a nice phone. My biggest gripe and this is a huge one, is you cannot screencast or wifi direct this phone to a big screen TV. I read online you have to buy some $35 Google Chromecast dongle in order to make this work. To me this is a fatal flaw because I use my phone's all the time to cast YouTube and Pandora Netflix to my big screen TV and sound system. Also the screen is very dim on this phone it's fine in the dark but in this bright sun or a well-lit room the brightness is not bright enough and all you see is reflection on the screen. I can live without the wireless charging that is not that big of a deal. pretty much everything else about this phone I really like it is a really nice phone but those two issues make this not that great of a phone make this not that great of a phone

OK Phone but has major limits on ATT
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Phone has good performance. I took for granted Wi-Fi calling would be supported but that's a negative on ATT network. They want to sell you a more costly phone for that feature. Also, no notification indicator so if you miss the 1 time sound you have to keep checking the phone screen for messages or other notifications. It will work till 5G becomes widespread but then it is a gone'er

Poor Comapny Poor Phone
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My wife and I each purchased a Motorola phone 18 months ago. Right after the 12-month warranty expired, both phones went dead respectively in March and April 2019. We both took the option of paying about 70% original price to each get a new replacement phone. In only another 4-5 months, both our phones got trouble again in August 2019. My new replacement phone had audio issue and my wife's new replacement phone couldn't turn on. After consulting Motorola's Tech Support, both phones were determined to be beyond repair. At first we thought this time we should be eligible for free replacements under one-year warranty, but they told us something new: The warranty for replacement phones was only 3 months, not one year. In another word, we need to pay another replacement cost for another replacement phone. The reality is; two phones died right after their one-year warranty; and two paid replacement phones also died right after their 3-month warranty. By any standard, I deserve the right to call Motorola's cell phones nothing but junks.
