Overall the G7 is a very good option to some more expensive phones - & the unlocked version gives you flexibility

Lots of memory and takes amazing pictures. Great phone for the price if your looking for an unlocked phone.

Easy to use and very fast internet. Any questions on use I just Google and get a very easy explanation with very precise directions.

Love the camera, takes professional type photos that can easily be printed. Fast, lots of memory, good for games etc. Very pleased.

I have had one of the old "dumb" phones for many years. Procrastinated for a long time about getting smart phone. Told the person at Best Buy that I would be a newbie on a smart phone, don't want to spend a whole lot of money, but don't want a cheapie either. He showed me a few different phones for comparison, and we decided this would be the best choice for me. I still have alot to learn since I'm used to the older phone, but I'm completely satisfied with my purchase! Newbies, this is the phone for you!

They moved the fingerprint reader to the backside of the phone so now you have to hold it to wake it up, which is an issue when working at a desk with the phone next to a laptop. If you mount the phone in a holder in the car, you have to either take it out of the holder or type in the PIN. Either option isn't desirable. You can't control the notification sound volume independently of the ringer volume, so if you want to hear your phone ringing, you will have to put up with a loud sound with every notification... incoming text, email, system notification etc. I've been chastised in the library several times. The only recourse is to turn down the ringer and risk missing calls. Samsung btw has separate controls for media, ringer and notifications. The G7 has less battery life than the G5 and is larger in size. Another problem is that with the G7, I now have to do a SIMM reset periodically in order to re-establish the data connection. I never had this problem on the G5 and I'm using the same carrier. The G7 does have more system memory which is appreciated but overall, between missing calls or listening to every notification and having to constantly fumble around with the phone to open the screen, I think Moto took a step backward with the G7.

Such a great little phone to start out with. Very easy to operate and amazing graphics.

For those who are not big Apple fans, this is a fantastic phone. The camera is excellent. It is lightweight and easy to use.
