This is one of my favorite phones I have ever owned. The foldable coming back is not something that I thought I would see in my lifetime, but I am glad I did. I had a Z Flip in between 2 of the Razrs and this performed far better, screen quality was better, and durability was better. The phone was just getting old and slower so had to get rid of it.

Great phone. Definitely improved over the 2019 version. No issues with noisy hinge. Two gripes is the battery life is not always great and the phone is so slippery - you have to have a case, which I'm not a huge case person. If only they made the back of the phone grippy that would help a lot. A case is a game changer. Average about 12-15 hours of battery life depending on usage. This us my biggest bummer since I travel a lot and need dependable strong battery life. The more you use just the front screen, the better. However, the satisfaction of flipping the phone closed on calls makes it all worth it. Also really like how small it fits in your pocket, cant even tell it's there. No more stretched jeans with the outline of the phone wore in. Looking forward to the gen 3 of this phone. If Mot can address the battery, slippery skin and add wireless charging, then Mot would dominate. Fun fact, I put this next to the original Razr when opened and it is about the exact same length. If you loved the Razr, you'll love this phone.

When open you have a full size smartphone that sits in my hand just right for one handed operation. And I really like the ability to fold the phone and put it in my pocket when it's not in use. When it is folded, it's nice and compact, with a screen on the outside that lets you read and send messages, answer and make calls, and use an abbreviated contacts list.
Really the only two faults i can say are:
1. no wireless charging.
2. no slot for expandable data storage.
&
And at no fault of the phone, nobody carries a case for it. It has to be ordered on line.

Love folding this phone like I used to be able to with the former generation razr. It’s nice to have room in my pocket besides the phone. It’s somewhat bigger than the old razr but only about half that of most phones these days and fits nicely in my hand.
Really like the outer display, can check messages, run many apps, control phone functions etc. without having to open the phone up.
Has great battery life (typically 2 days worth or more) although I’m not a power user but seems to do all i need to do quickly and with ease. It has 5G and have noted getting about 4x the 4G cell data rates over my old phone on Verizon. Connects reliably for hotspot use in an area with marginal cell signal while surfing at the cabin.
It’s built well but kind of slippery and hard to open without pushing one of the side buttons. Both of these are minor gripes and can be resolved with a textured cover and small tabs on the upper half of the phone.
All in all I’m pretty happy with my new RAZR that I got for $580 off the original price during the Black Friday specials.

The original Razr back in the day was my all time favorite phone. So, when the second generation in 2020 was released, I knew that I had to at least give it a try. I have always been a loyal Motorola user since my last Nokia in 1999. Love this phone although it is a little sluggish sometimes and not very durable. I am on my second one because the screen is easily damaged. Those two issues are not enough to end my love afair with this phone. I have a third new one on standby.

I couldn't wait till Best Buy had the 2nd edition of the RAZR especially in the color I wanted. I really enjoy the phone especially the fact that it is like a 2 in 1. You can do a lot on the outer screen or while it's closed when you set apps to be able to work from there; you can check email, text, even browse. Though some may not be compatible with the smaller screen but lots are. Pictures are great, phone is fast. I received the Android update from 10 to 11 and it works great, no problems at least yet. There are a lot of functions I am still working through but all in all it is a solid phone. If you enjoy Android especially Motorola OS, you will enjoy this phone, plus when you take it out and use it while in public you get the ohhs and ahhs of it all. Also, it is not a light phone it has some weight to it but not too bad. One more thing, I would recommend and case with a holster and outer screen protector. You DO NOT need or should use a screen protector for the inside screen; it is not necessary or recommended by Motorola. But give the phone a try and I think you will enjoy it.

It folds and fits in any pocket. Build quality is solid. Hindge is sturdy and the screen is good, bright and sharp.. Make no mistake this is NOT a flagship phone. It is fast enough. I haven't had any hiccups on the hardware or software after a week of use. The screen feels fine. No its not glass, but it is comfortable and I don't feel I'm going to break it. Yes you can see 3 waves in the screen showing the supports behind the screen. Like the fold, fold 2 and flip when the screen is on and your into your content the crease fades away. Finger print scanner is fast. I found for the position I registered my first nuckle also and works well. Outside screen is nice sharp and usable. The keyboard on the outside needs some work. I find myself with numerous errors in texts. All and all a great phone. Perfect for the minimalist. Call quality is excellent, ear piece is loud and clear and the speaker phone is clear and solid. Its no Nextel speaker phone but for a single speaker it works well all around.
Bluetooth sound quality with the Galaxy buds live sound better with the Razr 5g then they do my Fold 2.
Only complaint is it didn't come with a holster or carbon case.

I really like this phone, frankly it isn't as good as the Samsung Flip 3 for Bluetooth connection and the screen ion narrower, but the Samsung flip 3 protective film separated quickly (twice) at the gap and the Motorola is more comfortable in the hand and in the pocket. I got this cheap and would never have paid the original intro price. But I am using as my daily phone.

I love and miss this form factor. I am super glad that I can have the form factor of a flip phone while it being smart. The phone itself does feel slippery and a bit fragile, but when you add the case to it, the phone will seem more sturdy. There are 2 things motorola needs to improve on my end for this phone. One is definitely the battery life. If you don't use it heavy it will last all day. Also the cooling, this phone does warm up a bit which can lead to the battery loosing it's effecincy. All in all it's an awesome daily driver phone that looks amazing, satisfying to close when ending of a phone conversation, and more compact feel in your pocket. I know this phone isn't for everyone, but I would highly recommend this phone over the Samsung flip phone any day.

Some people have been crying on the reviews (mostly people that hate flip phones or would never consider one anyway). The razr has always been my favorite phone from back in the day. I've been waiting on a smartphone razr, and here it is. I was a little hesitant to buy it due to the mixed reviews, but I did so anyway. I've been having it about a week, and so far so good. Yes, the screen is plastic, and it will probably scratch down the line. That's a realistic issue that I see forthcoming. Other than that, the only other real issues that I have are the prices of these phones (way over priced), and the battery life. The life is just ok now, but I'm wondering how it will be 1 year from now. If you buy this phone, you're buying it because you don't like big, bulky phones. With that means that you need to expect a smaller battery, lesser camera, and plastic screen. If anyone comes out with an awesome flip phone with a better screen, better battery life, and smaller price tag, I'll definitely be interested in that too. I looked at the Samsung z flip, but it did nothing for me. It's basically a thick, bulky, flip phone. I'll choose the razr all day long over the z flip.

The Good:
Size is absolutely fantastic. Fits in the change pocket in my jeans. The device itself is well-designed, the folding screen is novel, and the external screen is really great.
Battery life is decent - I get about a full day with average use. USB PD charging is good, too - no proprietary fast charging (I'm looking at you, OnePlus).
Camera is acceptable - Won't be winning any awards, but isn't as terrible as the previous generation Moto razr's was. 5G (on T-Mobile) is good, on-par with my OnePlus 8Pro.
The Not so Good:
Does get a bit warm under heavy CPU usage, and managing external screen permissions for certain apps (ie, Android Auto) is a bit odd. WiFi reception is... not great (it's functional, but effective distance to AP is much shorter than I've experienced with any phone in years).
On the physical side, I personally would also like some small tabs to make opening easier without triggering power and volume buttons.
Verdict:
Overall, its a good phone, and I love how weird and retro it is. I'd recommend it if you're looking for something a bit different, and can handle a quirky device. It certainly turns heads.

I couldn't be happier with my new RAZR. I love it. It's very functional and truly just the perfect size to be used with one hand. The build quality is great for what it is. I came in store wanting another phone, but left with this one and couldn't be happier.

I've owned iPhones since the 1st generation and have continuously been tired of the size creep on phones. My pockets have not been growing this whole time. I eagerly explored this foldable tech and decided to skip the first generation. This current generation seems to hit the sweet spot that I've been looking for. It fits nicely in my pocket and still does everything i need it to do, such as take pictures, check my accounts, and surf the web. The front screen, while small, works for enough apps it's not optimized for to be usable on the fly without having to open the phone all the time. Whenever I want to sit down and enjoy my bigger screen, I open and enjoy it. The only drawback could be the price, but to be honest, this feels similar to when I bought that first gen iPhone at a time when phones were commonly free via carriers. Totally worth it.

Great phone and really like folding design. More than a cool gimmick, fits easily in a front pocket when closed. And can surprisingly do a lot with the small screen when folded. Seems like it will hold up well, good quality and has a little 'weight' to it. Fast and good features round it out.

Very nice for a flip phone. In the future, more battery time, outer case very slippery-design more grip. Chip insert to increase memory or save information.

It's nice to have a phone you can put in pocket. They need to work on better water proofing like you can submerge 5ft plus under water like Samsung has done with there foldable phone. A bigger battery would be nice it will get you through the day just don't play a lot a video or movie's. If you are going to do that plug charger in. I bought it because it was on sale for 999.00 and I had another 100 off. I was looking at the Samsung Z flip now they dropped the price. I got this for less i didn't have to pre order. They both have great features the Samsung i would say has a little more. The Motorala Razor is a fun phone I'm happy with the decision they just need to work on there updates and security patches more like Samsung and Apple does monthly.
