Customers are saying

Customers highly value the Moto X (4th Generation) for its excellent camera, affordable price, and long battery life. Many users appreciate that it is unlocked, waterproof, and easy to use. However, some customers have concerns about its limited internal storage, durability issues after extended use, and speaker volume.

The phone is great when it works, but Android Auto crashes with "Error 12," it will stop being able to read my music files and will just endlessly skip through all of my music, and the reception is terrible. When the phone works though, I love it, but I need to return it. Being waterproof is great, but being all glass makes it fragile and heavy. The moto features are great, but the phone is almost as big as my old LG G3 which had a 5.5" screen (this is only 5.2"). The battery life is great, I'm a bit sad I need to return it.

I love the look and feel of this phone. I was so hoping it would be my phone for years. However, the phone would not work on "speaker". You could not use that feature. Making calls to my daughter's google pixel was horrible. Those two phones did not communicate well at all. Then the whole antenna issue was another ordeal.. all of my phones were on ATT service and no one had issues with reception except for me. So I finally gave up and got an iphone. I did not have any issues on ATT service once I got the iphone. So I can only report disappointment for the Moto X4. :(

After 1 week, both front and rear of phone are cracked. I have a cover ordered, but phone didn't last long enough to use it. Reminds me of the 1st Gen Google Nexus, at least they replaced mine, I suspect Motorola will not, but going to try so I have something to put in the $10 cover I have.

Hi Pete901, sorry to hear about the inconvenience. The device has a durable front and back glass cover, however for extra protection, a protective case isn't a bad idea. Thanks -Erwin MotorolaMobility

I always had good luck with Motorola Phones, but was talked into Samsung on my last phone. Was really looking forward to returning to Motorola . But I have had a lot of issues with this phone, not all of which I have been able to resolve. Sometimes it will not pick up a signal even when there is a strong signal available. Have to take in and out of airplane mode to get signal or restart phone.

This is being written a little more than a year after purchase. The camera has always been slow and poor. Seems reception was not as good as other phones. Had updates WAY more than other phones and seems it got slower after each one. After the last one, Google phone app didn't load and 2 days later it went dead. This is my 2nd and my last Motorola phone.

This phone seems to have a soft glass screen as it scratches easily, far easier than my previous motorola phone. Also the glass back is slippery. I've dropped this phone far more times than my previous phones and it has slipped off surfaces the previous phones stuck to. Within 2 weeks of purchase the glass back is cracked. I do not recommend this phone.

    No notification LED

It seems like a nice phone, but there's no notification LED (to inform if incoming messages from apps like WhatsApp, LinkedIn, Yahoo mail). Motorola failed here, it's a basic, expected and helpful feature. Had I known that, I'd have not bought the phone. PC Magazine's review does not mention this either.

Hi User, Thanks for your feedback. Yes the G6 doesn't have a notification led. However, you can manage your notifications and such using Moto App. -Rich MotorolaMobility
