Users appreciate the phone's user-friendly interface and the benefits of the Android One operating system. The main description of this item doesn't say Android One, you have to go into the detailed description to see that. I thought I was buying a regular moto x4, which was replacing my existing one. Nope. And they're not the same. This Android One version does not allow the one button navigation with the finger print sensor. It also adds a non removable Google search /assistant bar to the app tray on the home screen. Why would you disable functionality that a phone can do? I don't understand it and I'm not happy.

I clearly don't understand why more phone manufactures will not make mid range phones that are built with quality like the Moto X4. This is by far the best phone I've ever had. I purchased the Moto X4 due to price and because it is an Andriod One phone. I will never pay $400-$1500 for a phone. This phone is faster than my S8 and best of all I don't have to put up with all the bloat ware with a pure Android One phone. Battery life is excellent. I've seen some reviews complaining about the camera. Works great for me. Works great with Cricket. The only draw back which is more due to the carrier than Motorola is Wifi calling and the hot spot feature are not available through Cricket with this phone. And from what I understand with any unlocked unbranded phones. I will only purchase unlocked phones from now on. If your looking for a great phone with a killer price then this is the one.

Best Buy's Moto X4 Android One: a great value

    Posted .

Clean unlocked Android One variant of Moto X4, giving access to any cell carrier - but also to simultaneous multiple ones with Google Project Fi. IP68 water resistant: great for motorcycle GPS. Up to 2TB possible on microSD - download your Google maps here. Fast 3A charger. Cell reception and voice quality are better than my previous phone. I waited before making this review - After using it for a few weeks, I still love my new smartphone. The 64GB internal memory Best Buy model variant is an excellent value, especially buying it on sale, plus it came with an e-gift card. I was hesitant to buy it because some reviews mention: software issues, battery issues, speed. I have not experienced any of these. Perhaps these issues came from a bad installation, not enough memory, or carrying over conflicts from the previous phone people upgraded from. To avoid these, I started by fully upgrading the phone to Android 8.1 before reinstalling my previous apps. The upgrades+updates were annoying, but troubleless. Be careful: * Although the glass finish looks great, it is very slippery. I would never consider using this phone without a case: you will drop it. * I am glad I choose the 64GB version. With all my apps, photos, downloaded maps and latest Android OS, 32GB would probably feel too tight brand new, so what in 2 years? It is worth buying from Best Buy. They create local jobs, have competitive prices and regularly offer special versions like this great Android One phone (XT1900-1 p/n PA8S0019US).

Phone shutoff by itself first day and was unresponsive after that. No help from Motorola. I have not tried to return yet to Best Buy but I suspect they will not accept since out of 14 day period. I took as a gift to South America and had to bring back, non-functioning.
