Customers are saying

Customers admire the Moto X (4th Generation) for its budget-friendly price, excellent camera, and ample storage. Users appreciate the phone's user-friendly interface and the benefits of the Android One operating system. While some users find the phone to be slippery, the lack of wireless charging is the only notable drawback mentioned.

Great phone, love moto gestures, awesome price!

This is my 3rd Moto X, upgrading from the Moto X Pure and the original Moto X before that. I've definitely moved away from the $800 - $1000 phones that still need to be replaced every 2 years, this phone cost less than half the bottom of that range and will do everything I need extremely well - I don't feel as if I'm making a low cost choice. I'm a big fan of the straight Android experience so that I get regular software and security updates and customize how I choose (I really like the NOVA launcher for my interface). The Moto gestures to quickly take a photo and turn on the flashlight have become easy habits over the years that I just love. This phone looks great, updated and activated easily, and seems very fast with my applications (got the 4GB ram + 64 GB built in storage Android One version). The phone is slippery, so I've already ordered a case to protect it and add a little grip. I am happy that the profile of the phone is slightly smaller than my Moto X Pure, it's more the size of a standard Samsung S8 or 9. Overall, another happy Moto X4 owner!

Awesome value! Works great on Republic Wireless

I bought this unlocked phone about 3 weeks ago from Best Buy to upgrade my 4-year-old Republic Wireless (RW) beloved original Moto X, which still works but was always running out of storage space. After receiving a new SIM card from RW, switching phone service from my old Moto X to this new Moto X4 was seamless. I am very pleased. Choosing the Moto X4 was a no-brainer for me, as I didn't want to spend close to a thousand dollars on a phone but didn't like the low quality feel of some of the more reasonably priced phones available these days. This phone has a high quality look and feel. It's much bigger and thinner than my old phone (and my husband's Iphone 8), but it's not so big that it's uncomfortable in my hand. It is very, very slippery, but I quickly purchased a nice case that solved that problem. The phone offers great features at a low price - it's plenty fast, has 64gb internal storage, the option of more storage for my photos on a micro SD card, super-fast charging, good battery life, and a nice display. The camera takes better pictures than my old phone, however, one thing I'm not crazy about is that now you must press a specific button on the bottom of the screen to take a picture, whereas with my original Moto X, you could just tap anywhere on the screen to capture a shot. I used to be able to hold my old phone and take the shot with one hand using my index finger to tap the screen anywhere (this was so handy if you were carrying something in your other hand); now I have to hold the new phone with one hand and use my other hand to push the button because the dedicated button is so low, I can't reach it using the fingers of the same hand that's holding the phone. I guess that's a small complaint and I'll get used to it, but it's not as convenient. Another reviewer wrote that they are unfortunately having trouble sending photos via the messaging app but I have not experienced this problem when texting both Android and Iphone users...so far, so good. In fact, this phone has a lot of fun texting features included that my husband's Iphone 8 doesn't have. Some online reviewers complain that Lenovo doesn't offer frequent updates on Motorola phones. I do hope this changes. If it does, and they continue to offer this kind of quality phone at this price point, Motorola could own a huge portion of the cell phone market. I mean, seriously, who wants to spend $1,000 on a phone?

This phone is really good quality for a good price it actually has 4 gigabytes of RAM on the 64GB model (on here it says 3) I'm not much of a fan of Apple Samsung or LG products and I really do like Motorola products this phone is a good size but not too big I like that the fingerprint sensor is on the front. I moved from the Motorola Moto g5 plus 64GB model and it's only a slight upgrade specs wise but it's already upgraded to Android 9.0 which makes it run even faster Very happy with my purchase and very happy with Motorola phones

The phone could sell for $300 and it would be a great phone. For $149, unlocked and well made it's a steal. For T-Mobile I would prefer a phone with more LTE bands but they do cost a bit more.

if you had a samsung galaxy s7 and found it to be adequate for your needs, then the moto x4 is every bit as good. No need to spend a 1000 for the latest greatest phone whose "improvements" do nothing practical to change your use of a cell phone.
