My two youngest needed upgrades as their MOTO DT and DT2 were showing signs of end of life. Downloaded and installed android 9.0 out of the box. Swapped the Verizon SIM cards right into these and viola! Instant service.

It has a really nice design, and most importantly - it runs almost stock Android and gets updates promptly. The only one minor complaint, is that it didn't come with a set of headphones as many other phones do.

Oreo 8.1. Not a good cookie

Had it almost 2weeks still can't figure out things that used to be intuitive. Yea just go read the Online 10 megs of .pdf manuals....... One sight told me it was a custom build! I would erase everything and load a older version if I could pretty disappointed with this. I gave 2 stars because the phone itself is nice and has plenty of memory and can accept up to 2 TB of external memory. Overall...... EXTREMELY DIFFICULT OS BY ANDROID, VERY VERY DISIPOINTED IN THIS!

Disappointing standby battery drain

Perfect form-factor, beautiful screen, and OK cameras considering the price. After 3 factory resets running the current Oreo 8.1.0 factory software I think this will be my last Motorola phone purchase. Heck, my 3 year old Motorola X Pure Edition still has better battery life than my X4. If you are thinking about purchasing this phone I strongly urge you to consider other options unless you're always near a wall outlet.
