Horrible
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the phone and by the time I was home which was ten minutes away, the phone was shut off and wouldn't turn on at all. I charged it and reset the phone and it still would shut off and jam. Went to the store the next day and got a Samsung s7 edge.

Great phone with none of the usual bloatware
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far this is a great phone! The feel of the Moto Z Droid in the hand is excellent, and the battery life in a charge cycle is pretty great as well. There is not a bunch of unwanted software or clunky user interfaces installed on top of this android setup like a lot of other popular phone makers do. The mods that this phone uses are awesome as well. I love the shells that they make to snap on the back, and my phone came with one that has a wood back. No headphone jack is built into the phone, but it has an adapter it comes with allowing use of regular headphones. There are a variety of security features. The fingerprint sensor is great because usually you dont even need to wake the screen. just touch the sensor and you are off! Best phone ever overall I don't know why I left Moto! Will update review after having for awhile

Not what I wanted- buyer beware
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The phone was adequate, the plan was not. Very disappointed with the customer service. Get the details before buying here. Changes and cancellations will cost you more than the phone.

Wonderful phone!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After a lot of research I finally took the dive and got this phone and wow am I glad I did. This is a great device. I didnt buy it for the mods, although I will prob get the battery mod at some point, but instead got it because its a great phone even without the mods. Nice display, looks great, and fastest phone ive ever used. I came from previous moto phones so was easy to get use to. Also has moto active display and moto voice which I find to be a must have. Surprisingly Ive been getting 2 - 2 1/2 days out of a full charge depending on use. So far my only cons are that the active display doesnt pulse continuously after you get a message like previous moto devices. Hopefully they add that functionality back. Also the usb-c charger is a solid one piece so you cant take it apart and use with pc.

Incredible
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was using the galaxy s7 edge, which I really liked, but I was intrigued by the moto mods and I was also interested in trying out more of a stock Android experience. I am absolutely blown away by the smoothness and quickness of this phone. I also purchased the incipio off grid power pack and I got the JBL speaker mod for free. The mods are super nice and very easy to swap. I had originally preordered the force edition of this phone, but I ended up going with the regular z because of the thinness (I plan on using mods and so the thinness helps keep the overall size thin). My biggest concern with going with the z was the battery, but the battery seems to be doing quite well actually, and with the incipio power pack its more than enough! Anyways, I just wanted to let you all know that this is the most amazing phone I have ever owned, and I have owned a lot.

Easy to use
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This phone is the perfect size and is very straight forward. The camera takes amazing pictures I'm on my phone a lot but my battery lasts a day and a half sometimes even two days.

Awesomeness in a cell!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You just can't beat it! I love the fingerprint security! It's Awesome! I love the operating systems, and hardware in the cell! And it only cost a dollar! The only difference between this , and the force is you get more battery life and a better camera! Everything else is the same! I also got JBL sound boost for free! 79.99 value! Don't forget this cell just got released mid July.. My only complaint would be a stronger antenna.. But I have no service problems.

Excellent Upgrade!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very Nice device. Coming from the LG G3 one big difference is the ability to use the optional SD card as Internal Storage. The G3 didn't allow any sort of option, and basically the SD card was useless in that phone. The Z is by far superior. Even if the basic Moto Z models camera is the same 13MP of the G3 it is far superior in detail and focus. The Moto Z takes a good thing and makes it better. I was a fan of my old G3 but now am a fan of the Moto Z. A Very good Upgrade to consider if you're ready to move on.

Helpful Mods
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had Droids in the past and needed an upgrade. I purchased this phone five days ago, specifically for the power mod. I plan to take this phone on an week-long backpacking trip as my camera, GPS, and e-reader, without carrying a extra solar battery charger. Also I have enjoyed the speaker mod which was a nearly free extra when I purchased the phone. So far the phone has functioned wonderfully.

Great phone but can shatter easily with a drop

Extremely fast and light
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This phone is fantastic. I originally bought a Moto z play but returned it when this went on sale. I really like how light the Moto z droid is compared to the play. Also the screen resolution makes text look very clear. I was worried about the battery life but it has been sufficient except for temporarily after updating the Android 7.0 but that was fixed with a reset. The Moto mods have also been great. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase.

Great Phone BUT After ANY System Updates...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The phone is great when first purchase it but ANY system downloads will receive wreaks havoc on the phone. The phone will go from a great phone to a horrible one. Battery, App, & Bluetooth problems galore just to name a few.... Read all the numerous posts online about the galore of problems after downloading the latest 7.1.1 update.....And Motorola has not taken any responsibility in correcting these problems as well. Just be forewarned before you purchase.

Nice phone, solid value
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Some online reviews for this phone describe it as not a good deal for the list price - but given the stellar discount from BestBuy this phone is a fantastic deal on an all-around excellent smart phone.

Downgraded quality over Droid series
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've always preferred Motorola phones, particularly the Verizon Droid line, over all other phones. Reasoning has been durability, excellent battery life, stripped down Android OS flavor (very little bloatware), and their gestures. The Droid and Droid Turbo 2 are probably the BEST phones ever made. With that said, I could easily give this phone a better rating next to other non-non-Moto competitors. However, I think it's more fair to evaluate this phone based on prior Moto phones. The Moto Z Droid is a nice phone, but inferior both the Droid Turbo (over 2 years old) and Droid Turbo 2 (over a year old). It's unacceptable to release a new product such as this, with inferior battery, inferior durability, and inferior camera. It's simply unacceptable. I love my Droid Turbo, but it's getting old. I will not deviate from the Moto line, but it's extremely sad that this phone doesn't live up to its predecessors. Sure, it has "fancy" accessories. I don't care. These phones are expensive. I expect quality. Moto (I.E. Lenovo) significantly downgraded the overall quality of their phones. Not just this phone, but the entire Z line is inferior next to its predecessor, the Droid Turbo 2. If you can get a Droid Turbo 2, do it. Hands down, best phone ever made.

Device holds true to Motorola standards
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This phone is easy to customize and remains simplified considering all the functions it has. A bit better overall design in size and shape would contribute to the only spec I think the phone is lacking which is for it to be a one handed device.

Snappy phone, finger scanner is the fastest ..
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The phone overall is very snappy. I am impressed by the fingerprint scanner which is very accurate and quick. My phone did suddenly bug out which I believe was a faulty battery which overheated and caused an infinite reboot loop. I ended up getting a different phone after 8 months.
