Worlds Thinnest Smart Phone
||Posted .The Moto Z Droid is an awesome Modular phone that has the capabilities of becoming more than just a great phone. The Moto Z Droid has Moto Mods that can turn your phone into a Pico Projector, a JBL Speaker, and a Hasselblad Camera, You can also add other accessories like a power pack and stylish covers.

Fast phone, great graphics
Posted .I was able to get a great deal on this phone with the jbl speaker attachment included for free which gives it way more battery life, because the phone by itself prob wouldn't last a full day of regular use, which I imagine is why they made the attachments, but still a great phone.

Great Android Phone
||Posted .I am very happy with my purchase. I am a big fan of Android phones and upgraded to the Moto Z from a Droid Turbo. The phone has turbo charging and the battery lasts a full day with heavy use. Has all the same Moto features that my Droid Turbo had: Moto Voice command, chop for flashlight, twist for camera, etc. I received the JBL speaker Mod with the phone as a bonus from Best Buy and I really like the Mods feature and plan to buy the projector Mod in the future. It truly is just as easy as snap and go. Music doesn't stop playing and seamlessly changes to the speaker. Only thing to consider is that the Mods will only work when your phone is bare (no case). I find that I little annoying because I would not recommend owning this phone without a protective case. It is just too thin and so sleek it feels slippery to fall out of your hands. Overall, this is a great phone that I am very happy with and all the features it offers. Fun to show off to friends and co-workers!

Great phone, but very bulky with mods
||Posted .This is a great alternative to the Samsung/Apple saturated mobile phone market. This phone is still on par price-wise with either set of phones, however. Pros: Excellent camera. 21 megapixel camera as opposed to the standard 12 megapixel camera with other phones. Long battery life. Shatter-proof screen (but not scratch proof, which is a con - you WILL need a screen protector). Cons: As mentioned, the screen is easily scratched, so a screen protector is a must. Cases that I've purchased will only work with the phone itself and must be removed to use mods. Mods are very bulky. Mods (other than the extended battery) eat battery power like crazy. No water resistance (keep away from all sources of water).

Moto Z Droid is super-slim and expandable
||Posted .When I first heard about the new Moto Z Droid Edition cellphone, I knew I had to get it, since I needed a replacement for my dying Droid Turbo quickly and the new phone looked promising. As a phone, the Moto Z does the job like all others do these days, but there are two good points to make for it. First, it's probably the thinnest, least bulky phone ever made; second, its capabilities can be expanded with "Moto Mods", special packs that snap onto the back and that do different things--I like this especially for the external battery pack that I got with the phone, which could expand its charge by many hours (and I rely heavily on battery power these days). In all, this is a great phone and one worth getting.

So far so good
||Posted .I had to update from a Note Edge when it stopped working. I probably would have stayed with the Samsung Notes but we all know the story with the Note 7. So I started looking at other options. I really considered the S7 but I decided to give the Moto a try. What drew me first were the mods especially the battery mod. I really like to have an extra battery around but since that is becoming less available on phones the fact that I could snap on a battery case was a big plus for me. The second thing I really liked is the fact how thin the moto is, without any of the mods of course. The phone performance is great and I haven't noticed any significant difference between my old Samsung and this one. Obviously this is quicker since it's two years newer. Like with any new phone there are some things that I miss and some things I like more. I don't think the camera is as good as Samsung, but it's still good. The moto does have an SD card slot so most of my pictures music etc moved over nicely. I haven't had any problems with calling or signal. The size is comparable to the note just slightly smaller but I haven't noticed a difference. In all I'm happy with the moto. I think anymore the "flagship" phones are more similar than different so it was just a matter of getting used to a new UI. Honestly if Samsung didn't have their problem I would have just got the Note 7. The Moto has been a good phone so far and while at times I miss the Samsung environment those moments don't last long. In the end I feel the Moto is a good alternative to the Apple Samsung dominated market.

Phone of the future
||Posted .I went to a Verizon store to upgrade my son's phone since he broke it, and we found this phone. I personally like the appeal of the diversity of the mods, so we went ahead and made the purchase. We also got the extra battery mod, which has proven to be very useful. Well, I couldn't take my son having a better phone than me. I happen to run across a Best Buy ad for the same phone, but a much better deal, so off I went. I got the JBL speaker mod for free, along with a $200 Best Buy gift card. Now I wish we had gone to Best Buy first. Overall, this is a great phone, great camera. Very sleek and stylish. Kind of slippery when I'm holding it. This can be resolved if I put it in a case, but I really do not like phone cases because they make it too bulky. The only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is because the battery drains a little too quickly. I have to keep the display down to about 30% to keep the phone charged all day. I guess that's why getting the extra battery life mod is a good idea. Since my son and I both have the same phone, we can swap our mods whenever needed.

Incredible
Posted .I was using the galaxy s7 edge, which I really liked, but I was intrigued by the moto mods and I was also interested in trying out more of a stock Android experience. I am absolutely blown away by the smoothness and quickness of this phone. I also purchased the incipio off grid power pack and I got the JBL speaker mod for free. The mods are super nice and very easy to swap. I had originally preordered the force edition of this phone, but I ended up going with the regular z because of the thinness (I plan on using mods and so the thinness helps keep the overall size thin). My biggest concern with going with the z was the battery, but the battery seems to be doing quite well actually, and with the incipio power pack its more than enough! Anyways, I just wanted to let you all know that this is the most amazing phone I have ever owned, and I have owned a lot.

Q: QuestionCan this phone be unlocked during the verizon monthly plan or any plan or no?
Asked by techdeckgeek.
- A:Answer All Verizon phones are sold as unlocked. You can put an AT&T or T-Mobile sim in there just fine, and it will run off of that network. I don't know about Sprint, though. They don't like to work with anybody it seems.

Q: QuestionIs the Moto Z Droid any better/different than the Turbo Droid overall?
Asked by Zazoo.
- A:Answer Hi Zazoo, Thanks for your interest. Moto Z Droid is very close to Droid Turbo, however, they differ when it comes to Android version. All in all, the performance of these phones are amazing. -Jess

Q: QuestionI am an international student here in US and this contract thing is a bit confusing to me. Can I know how much in total I have to pay for this device including all costs? can somebody please explain?
Asked by MycroftHolmes.
- A:Answer Usually, Device Payment Plans (DPP) are more financially sound and more convenient for some customers. The ease of getting a phone with no upfront costs (aside from Taxes, Activation Fee later down the road, and any plan changes will be added to the next months bill). The full value of the device is mentioned, just below the shipping options, tax will be based on zip code, and that's all you'll have to pay when purchasing this device with a DPP. Similar to financing a vehicle through a bank loan; Small monthly payments are accepted at a fixed interest rate (which in our case is 0% interest), allowing the phone to be gradually paid off instead of paying full retail (which is often more expensive than the full retail if doing a DPP; example: Turbo 2 is currently $20/month for 24 months, after 24 months total paid is only $480, but full price, value is $598 which is all due at the time of purchase. The benefit for customers is the convenience and for Verizon, it's keeping us on their network for as long as possible. When a promo is used in conjunction with a DPP, the full DPP value is still to be charged monthly, however the trade in value will be also spread out across the length of the term, in some instances making the device "free."
