Having been a Samsung user for many years, I was a bit hesitant to switch to a new brand. I love this phone! Great quality and simple to use. Love the large cover screen. Only had it a week now but I'm glad I got it!

Coming from a Flip 4 this is my thoughts using the phone for a couple days
Pros
° screen is great! The refresh is dynamic so it hovers around 120hz (165hz is in game mode only) the crease is visible but not as bad as the flip and the screen is also wider so it's easy to type kinda like a candy bar style phone, front screen is also very smooth love the front screen launches full screen apps with ez and extremely responsive and customizable!
° rear cameras are good for what they are , very similar to the flip 4 camera
° Software has a couple random bugs but breath of fresh air coming from Samsung UI feels too crowded . This has a vanilla feel Software with a couple added goodies but nothing too crazy
° battery life is actually decent very similar to the flip 4 maybe even a little better without all the Samsung services running will get most people thru a full day.
Cons
° first big con is the hinge , coming from Samsung hinges it's a completely different feeling , and not in a good way my first flip out of the box there was a grinding feeling like it had a rusty hinge that hasn't been used , I felt it on a couple demos I saw but some don't have it so it's maybe luck of draw, but Ive had time to try to break in the hinge and it's not getting any better. One of the roughest hinges I've ever felt even before Samsung put bristles in there hinges.
° build quality, if the phone is flipped in tripod mode the top and bottom part of the screen is wobbly it feels like screws that aren't tight , and will even have a creak to it, also the frame paint scratches very easy.
° last is adding to build but the top part of the phone has a rattle it feels and sounds cheap as a cell phone tech myself it seems like the cameras for the main sensor is not glued into place and slapping against the internal mid plate and causing a rattle noise every time it's open or closed normally , almost all the demos I've seen has the same issue hopefully it's something that fixed in the assembly process , I've also tried to remove the sim tray because it used to be a similar issue on the older ones but it has the rattle with nothing else attached to it.
° proximity sensor isn't very accurate, and sometimes doesn't even work . It is maybe a software fix but it seems to be a trend with moto , OnePlus etc even sometimes when it does dim the screen it still presses while the screen is off
Overall the phone is ok , the pros are a improvement , but the cons for long term usability may be limited , and if your paying $999 for a device and it has questionable build quality than it might be worth to wait another generation , see what the flip 5 has in store or wait for moto to fix there QC issues

I haven't had a flip phone since they were a thing way back when. So, I wasn't sure how I'd like this new version of a flip phone. Well the jury is out and so far so good! The things that you can do without even opening the phone is amazing! I've had a Samsung phones for a long time now so I had to learn the Motorola way but no biggy. This phone in your front pocket feels a lot better than a big old Samsung.
Thank you for sharing your experience, Durkij. We’re so glad to hear you’re enjoying the new phone design and discovering what it can do even without opening it. The phone is fine. Does reboot if it gets hot. It just can't take as much heat as newer ones. So if you use a Libre 3 sensor it will work but will not have a consistent connection and when you open the app it will show 3 dashes so it loads and finally it show the current and past levels. So if you are worried about low blood sugars like me there is NO WARNING. One star taken off for heat problems.
Hi IT4wife, Thank you for sharing your experience with the phone. It’s good to know the phone handles your needs overall, though we understand the concern about it rebooting when it gets hot. The thermal management on some models can be more sensitive compared to newer devices. Regarding the Libre 3 sensor connection, we appreciate the detailed insight. It’s important for users relying on consistent glucose monitoring to know that the connection may not always be stable, and that low blood sugar alerts might not come through reliably on this phone. Your feedback is valuable, and we’ll be sure to share it with our product and support teams. Im coming from a Samsung Galaxy S20+ and overall I like it. The phone feels well built and it runs smoothly. What I don't are very specific things. For example, on my old phone you could change gestures to swipe from the side or bottom and you cant't with this. The volume controls are also weird and seem to only be for music, not notifictions, unless you go into settings. I coukd also slow the level of wireless charging and can't now. Overall I enjoy it.

Motorola Razr+ is easily the best designed clamshell foldable to date. The larger external display paired with its dual-camera system makes it ideal for content creators and vloggers.

It is a very convenient device with all the latest features available. If you get used to using the external screen, you hardly need to open it at all. I really appreciate the convenience of such a compact device. Motorola Rarz+ is an executive device with all the features young people could want.
