Well it would be a great phone if it made phone calls. However, every time I went to make a phone call, I would get nothing. Just dead air. Tried resetting network settings, event tried resetting the phone. Nada. Works great on WiFi. Sadly defeats the purpose of a PHONE. Returning.

This phone is fun and great. Best Flip, for now.

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Coming from phones such as an Iphone 14 pro, Galaxy fold 4, galaxy flip 4, pixel 7 pro and galaxy s23 ultra, this phone is different but great. If you like stock android and like the flip concept you will be a fan of this phone. Pros- The battery has been all day use with at least 25 percent at the end of the night around 11pm or so. The processor breezes thru apps with no stutter. The software is very similar to the pixel software in a lot of way, very vanilla android with a lot of fun flip phone features. The external and internal screen are great but there is a con that has been bugging me that I will discuss in the cons but 90% has been great. The speakers are loud. The Bluetooth and signal strength is amazing. I honestly cant remember a device that had such strong signal, I'm on Att network and always have strong signal and great call quality. Cameras are around a 7.5 out of 10 if I had to put a number on it. Its definitely good for a flip phone given the space the phone has to work with but if you want the better camera go for a pixel 7 or 7 pro, galaxy s23 ultra. Build quality is I would say pretty good, I definitely think it has the best hinge out of any flip or fold like other video reviews on youtube have said. Yes it does have a little bit of a "wiggle" but its so minimal I don't even notice it. Tent mode is not as strong as the samsung flip 4 but its very close and still really well constructed. Also another note on the external screen is you have to see it to believe it. You can seriously do EVERYTHING on the external screen and the YouTube creator Mr. Mobile recently posted a review of this device and showed you can use this device for 24 hours without opening up the gorgeous 6.9 inch screen. I love the external screen but the internal screen is great too, especially with that 165hz display, the external is a 144hz display which both are faster than anything Apple, Google or Samsung have out at this time so once you use it youll see a difference, its small but definitely smooth. Cons- As other reviews have mentioned the screen brightness has been buggy, it will be dark then bright at random times, im sure this is a software bug but until then this is a small annoyance. Also the accessories this phone has is limited too, I know Best Buy has no cases available but I went in to a random T-Mobile store and they had a nice clear case for sale that I picked up for $50. Another con I would say is the limited software updates, my hope is that since Motorola has had this type of device going for a couple years now they will hopefully be more aggressive on staying up to date. That's all I got but if you're a fan of the flip or and Motorola I really think you'll really enjoy this device, pick it up, I don't think you'll regret it.

Great phone but not without its issues.

Even though I was very happy with my Razr 5G I recently decided to try out the new Razr Plus. The major selling points for me personally were the larger inner and outer displays, improved camera functions, and the fact that the flip can now stay halfway open which eliminates the need for a tripod when taking photos and videos. I just don’t like to take hand held selfies as the camera really needs to be farther than arms length away in order to avoid the distortion of features. Also when I had to take new passport photos a few years ago it was a real pain getting my old Razr proped up in the right position without a tripod and then setting the timer before quickly getting into position. With the new Razr however I can easily get it pointing where I want and then just by holding up my hand in front of the camera a 3-second countdown timer will automatically start. Its also great not having to hold the phone while on video calls as you can just set it on the table rather than holding it in front of your face the whole time. I also like the fact that the fingerprint reader on this phone is much easier to use than on the previous model. As for the larger outer display its really fantastic and very functional but for some reason I still find myself habitually opening the phone up to do things that could now easily be done on the outer display. It’s just hard to break old habits I guess. Anyway, even though I am very happy with the new phone overall there are a few problems worth mentioning. First of all, unlike the previous model, the Razr Plus comes with a factory installed screen protector for some reason and after only four months of use it has starting to crease and crack at the fold. The phone will also no longer quite open a full 180 degrees and I suspect that this is also due to the damaged screen protector. I obviously need to have it replaced as soon as possible as any sharp edges from the crack could potentially damage the screen underneath. However since simply removing it oneself will void the warranty I must take it in and have it done at a Motorola partner service center – something which is easier said than done apparently. After calling Motorola they were supposed to make an appointment for me at a service center near me but he was unable to make the appointment online for some reason and so he gave me the phone number instead. Then after I was unable to get through by phone I drove out to the place only to learn that they do not have the screen protectors for this phone and they cannot even get them. It looks like my only choice now may be to send it in to Motorola and I really don’t want to have to do this every 3 or 4 months. I’m seriously considering just peeling off the screen protector myself and hoping I don’t need any warranty service over the next 8 months. My last Razr did not even have a screen protector and that display still looks and works great. Although ironically if a screen protector had come on the previous generation, it probably would not have cracked as the diameter of the fold in the display is much larger on the previous generation. This by the way is the main reason I chose the Razr 5G over the Samsung back then in the first place. I could just tell by examining the two that the Samsung screen would be much more likely to crack over time – as they indeed did. But now the new Razr Plus has a screen fold that is closer to the Samsung than to the previous Razr, Another downside of the new phone is that the flip is much harder to open one handed. With my Razr 5G it was very easy to open it one handed with a flick of the wrist. But it takes so much force to do this with the new model that I’m afraid the hinge could sustain damage. Also, having to flick with that much force makes it more likely that it could fly out of your hand and get damaged. Of course this cant really be helped and it is simply the price we must pay for having a flip that can stay half open at 90-degrees. Anyway, I have basically just resigned myself to always having to open it with both hands. As for the hinge itself it seems fairly sturdy but still not quite as sturdy as on the previous generation in my opinion. Another big downside for me is the fact that on the Razer plus you are no longer able to plug wired headphones in by using the USB-C adapter. I just like having the option of using a wired connection when need be. For example, when the battery is dead on my Bluetooth headset or when I want to listen to music on my home stereo system which does not have Bluetooth. Its just really stupid that they disabled this function in the new Razr Plus. Still, other than these issues it's a great little foldable.

Dont listen to the two 1 star reviews. They dont know what they are talking about. The phone is great even without having the brand newest processor available. The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 is nothing to laugh at or be concerned about. Moto did this phone right and is going to make the market very competitive this year. And this is coming a guy with an S22 ultra and S23 ultra. Take it from a Samung guy... the phone is good.
