I got the Motorola Razr 2023 plus model first since it was on sale, just to play with it and ended up keeping it and selling my iPhone Pro Max 16. When this model came out I got it on the release date and have been enjoying it ever since. The phone is very pretty and I get a lot of compliments on it whenever I pull it out. I don't see any compromises in quality or performance, on the contrary: it fits in your pocket much better than the mini tv sets everybody is carrying around nowadays. The crease is unnoticeable and you get a huge screen when you need to, but can also use the external one to do everything with one hand on the go. Motorola nailed it and surpassed Samsung foldable phones by far, since you can use any app on the external screen and there is no difference in brightness or crispness. The round edges and "fluid" design in general feels great in the hand, and the vegan leather back makes the phone very grippy, so you don't need a case for it. The hinge feels sturdy and is not getting loose after 6 weeks of use. As for the OS, apps and screen aesthetics in general - it is gorgeous! Tons of options to design and organize the apps and widgets. Nothing glitches and the phone is very fast. One of my favorite features is the thumb fingerprint on the right side of the phone. I use it for all apps which require a password. I never liked the face ID on the iPhone for some reason and the Samsung on screen fingerprint detector would fail every other time. What I must say is that the camera is not as good as on the flagships and hopefully, Motorola will get there on day. However, taking pictures and videos of yourself is much easier and better since you can place the phone anywhere when folded at a 90 degrees angle and you can see yourself when recording. Also, instead of a selfie camera, the main one is used which has a better & bigger capacity. The creativity and thought put in Razr is a breath of fresh air on a rather stale cell phone market and opens limitless possibilities. Well done, Motorola, and good luck!

    A Solid Android Phone

I've been using this phone for about 3 weeks now. This Razr Ultra 2025 is a replacement for a damaged Razr 2020 phone. I've not used all of its features yet. Overall it is a very solid phone. The phone opens and closes fine. The hinge seems to be pretty solid. Battery life is good the way I use it. The build quality is good. The main display is better than the 2020 model. The small display is also better and is more useful than the 2020 model. The displays are sharp and readable and the colors are great. Google Maps works well on the smaller display, as does text messaging. Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft OneNote also works on the small screen. Of course the screen space is tight but the UI arranges itself so that it is useful. I do wish the phone came packaged with some type of storage pouch, like the old Palm Pre's used to. It's a small thing, but this is the flagship model.

Hi Kirk. Thank you for sharing such thoughtful feedback about your Razr Ultra 2025—we’re glad to hear it’s been a solid upgrade from your Razr 2020. It’s great that the hinge, build quality, battery life, and both displays are performing well, and that apps like Google Maps, messaging, Outlook, and OneNote are working smoothly even on the smaller screen. We appreciate your suggestion about including a storage pouch with a flagship device; feedback like this helps us improve future offerings. I'm still discovering new features but I will say this. I'm glad Motorola is back with my new and improved old friend. It has great battery life, the camera quality is superb, and ease and access are wonderful. The only cons are no Motorola brand media apps other than Google or download your own for music already on your device. Yet it doesn't stop me from enjoying this phone. It has a lot to offer from someone needing just the basics for work and email.

Im honestly enjoying the phone! I'm coming back to android after a decade of apple and i don't miss it, even though i have other peripherals that made that ecosystem seamless it's been fun. I miss the times when phones were fun, and this brings back that nostalgia while maintaining some of today's premium specs. You dont need the ultra for this phone to be fun, though admittedly having the ultra provides you with the ability to take quality photos and listen to Hi-Res audio as the chipset of qualcom pushes aptx adpative/lossless and LDAC should you have earbuds that support either codec. I'd siggest taking advantage of the aptx codec as it has a higher bandwidth, though having earbuds that support codec are usually at a higher premium and the drivers arent yet matching thr LDAC competition. The system AI is the underwhelming bit, but apparently moto ai is still in it's beta phase and with the use of gemini/copilot it honestly gets forgetten. The ability to use the phone while folded at 90% capacity is outstanding. It could provably be 100% bit i dont give permisions to all apps for the external display. One of the biggest reasons for leaving iPhone was due to the keyboard and system's predictive text not being intuitive, constant mistyping, or simple just wrong. I'm so thankful that this keyboard takes away the frustration of a phone not understanding input. All in all 10/10. Maybe I have a biased viewpoint from being jaded due to my previous phone experinece, but please allow the fact that i have a macbook, ipad, airpods pro 2, and essentially bricked Ultra watch 2 shine some light on how this phone was worth the switch. That said... anyone want an apple watch? lol

This phone is terrific - much better than I expected. Years ago I bought Razr + 2023 and returned it. Wasn't nearly as good as my old Samsung Flips. Then I upgraded to a Samsung Flip 5 5G. But this Razr has so many improvements over my Flips. Many of my apps work faster (all of my apps work which didn't happen on my old Razr). Battery life is great, it charges quickly. The screen is sparkling. The cover screen is a huge improvement. It's expensive, but I was a skeptic - now a believer. Just wish I could find a nicer case.

We’re thrilled to hear you're loving the new Razr and that it's exceeded your expectations, especially after past experiences. It’s great to know the performance, battery life, and improved cover screen have made a big difference for you, and that all your apps are working smoothly this time around. As a only Android user, I've come back to my first love! Yes, my first cell phone was the original Motorola Razor 3g back in 2004! As far as this new line of new generation Razrs, I purposely waited till they got it right. And boy, did they! All the features, the screen on the outside and the versatility with super fast performance! Can't go wrong with this new Motorola masterpiece! Now, a new generation can enjoy the Razr!

I really like the phone. It is definitely different from having an iPhone which in my opinion is cool. I like how fast it is compared to my older Iphone 13 pro I had. It was all fine a dandy. Eventually I started to see defects in the phone. The hinges started to shift and now click. The top half is shifting. The top part also overheats when charging and can be hot. It started to glitch when I starting using Google or other search engine apps. Gaming was awesome. But wifi will lag more compared to the iPhone which wouldn't lag.

Hi Good, Thank you for sharing your experience and for your positive feedback on the speed, design, and gaming performance. We're sorry to hear that you’ve started noticing changes with the hinge, heating while charging, app performance, and Wi-Fi stability. For basic troubleshooting, we would recommend gently checking and cleaning around the hinge area with a soft dry cloth and ensuring there is no case or debris affecting the folding mechanism, as well as making sure the device is always opened and closed from the center to reduce uneven pressure. For the heating while charging, it can help to remove the case, avoid using the phone for gaming or heavy tasks during charging, close background apps, and ensure you are using the original charger in a cool, well-ventilated area. For the lag or glitches in Google or search apps, please make sure all apps and system software are updated, clear the cache of the affected apps, and restart the device. For Wi-Fi performance, restarting both the phone and router, forgetting and reconnecting to the network, and resetting network settings can often improve stability.
If the concerns with the hinge movement, overheating, or performance continue after these steps, please send us an email at supportforums@motorola.com, and we’ll be happy to assist you further from there. -Mitch MotorolaMobility

I had this phone for about 5 days and I really did love it! There was nothing wrong with it but I wanted more of a pop in color and for the ultra unfortunately there was only dull color selections to choose from. I believe only 4 colors. Green, Brown, Red & Pink. There were no pinks to be found nor could they be ordered and as a female I just couldn’t settle for the pink so I switched to the Z Flip in a pink. Besides the color of the phone. The overall performance of the Razr was amazing! It was a really great phone. Very smooth and they designed it very beautifully! 10/10 phone and would definitely recommend!

I got this phone as a birthday present for myself, and I've been loving it ever since! The battery life is so good for a flip phone that I haven't had to worry about charging it throughout the day, and the external screen makes using the phone a breeze when it's closed. Not to mention the nice, smooth, 165hz displays on both the inside and outside. The camera also takes incredibly good photos for the hardware it's packing, although the processing could use some work. But that's not something I've been worried about since I've started using it. My only complaint with it is the durability concerns, but that's to be expected with any flip or fold style phones. All in all, I highly recommend the Razr Ultra over any currently available flip style phones!

Honestly, such an understated phone. Chose it over the Galaxy Flip 7 despite having used Samsung devices for nearly a decade, and I cannot stress how great it is. Phenomenal battery life, great UI. The camera is definitely lacking, and I know I only get 3 years of software updates (seriously Motorola, you can do better). One day ill probably go back to Samsung because of their ecosystem but for now, this is clearly the best clamshell flip phone on the market and will continue to be for the time being.

[Employee of bestbuy] I absolutely love this phone so far. My previous cell phone which was a Sony Xperia died recently so I had to upgrade Sony unfortunately pulled out of the market so I had to research phone similar to their current flagship and decided on the Motorola Razr Ultra. The back screen is really handy and you can do pretty much everything that you can do on the main phone on the back screen. I am curious to see how the phone does after a Year's worth of usage with the screen since it's a folding phone but so far it's been great. The phone came pre-installed with a screen protector and there's so many features that make this phone worth it I highly recommend it.
