Customers are delighted by the Sliver II Bluetooth Headset's excellent sound quality and comfortable fit. Many appreciate the long battery life and convenient charging case. However, some users experienced issues with the headset's range and volume, finding the connection to be less reliable than expected. Improvements in Bluetooth range and volume control would enhance the overall user experience.

Overall - people can hear you well.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This issue with this product is it has to be tucked in your ear tight to hear. It also has poor voice command. I had a jawbone before with the long mic. worked better but didn't have the voice command. The motorola device looks better because its tucked behind your ear. With the poor over all use, I will be returning mine.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This does not work with my motospeak app. So it does not tell me I have a text from "so&so" like the Sliver 1 did.

Very Disappointing
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Product failed to perform as promised. Does not pick up voice adequately and will not answer incoming calls. My $30 Emerson headset works better than this product. Extremely disappointed in the quality. I will never buy another product from Motorola!

Excellent Functionality and Ergonomics
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Lasts better than 6 hours of heavy use without charging before needing to be plugged into its charging case which provides 3 charges and fully charges the device in about 15 minutes! Noise cancelation is adequate. Works better with wind and ambients than machinery. Pickup is great, especially for lack of a boom. This also makes it discreet enough for me to use in class without suspicion. Music input is good too. Sound quality is good. This is not comparable to high end headphones but why would you expect HD sound from a mono output device? Comfort is unprecedented! I often forget that I have it in until I receive a call or message. However, the in ear speaker is large and even the smallest fitting does not work in my ear. I replaced with a Plantronics in ear piece and it now works perfectly. Connectivity is good to all devices and works well with S-Voice on my Galaxy S-4 but S-Voice isn't the best audio interface. Motorola does not make their high-end devices comparable with MotoSpeak! Really!? This makes replying to texts a bit more difficult. Overall this is one of the best Bluetooth devices available.

Way to Fix What was Broken Motorola!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I actually stumbled accross the Sliver II while researching headsets for my brother. I found out they made an updated version of the Sliver I (which I was using at the time), so I decided to check it out. This thing is VERY COMFORTABLE! The Sliver II is even more comfortable than the Sliver I, because the part that fits around the back of your ear is thicker and gives a more secure fit - unlike the Sliver I which was still very comfortable, but moved around a lot. Noise Cancellation actually works this time around. Before with the Sliver I, people could always hear things I was doing very loudly. I could be running water, driving, or unbagging groceries, people would complain about how painfully loud it was on their end. Not so with the Sliver II! I've tried all of those activities with the Sliver II and people couldn't even tell what I was doing! Call quality has also been improved. Folks who complained about me sounding muffled, or far away now say they can't tell I'm using a bluetooth headset at all. I've also been on calls with folks I normally can't hear very well, and now I can hear them much better. The Sliver II has other improvements as well. It now has a volume rocker so you can adjust the volume from the headset itself. It also has a USB charge port on the headset so you can charge the headset without its included cradle, which is convenient. The on/off swivel feature works even better as now there's a secure feeling on/off state and doesn't turn on when you don't want it to - a huge pain with the Sliver I. Overall the Sliver II is definitely a huge improvement over the Sliver I. For me, comfort, call quality, and noise cancellation are the most important features of bluetooth headsets. The Sliver II wins here in spades! At $130, It's a little pricey, but it's an investment you won't regret.

Impressed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned several Bluetooth headsets, jawbone, jabra, plantronics, etc. I use siri to send and read my text messages while driving, and this is the first headset to really work perfectly for me. I love it, it's comfortable even with my small ears. It sounds great, fits great even with sunglasses on. I love being able to tap the call button and a second later siri pops up. It streams radio from my phone nicely. I like that you can charge the headset through its micro USB port or with the included charging case, it's also able to be worn on either ear. It also has a 300 ft range, I haven't tested that yet. Overall it's my favorite Bluetooth headset, for music I prefer the jaybird bluebuds x. If you wear a headset for work, or travel this sliver 2 is comfortable& sounds amazing (people cannot tell I'm using a Bluetooth.) and it's small and unassuming.

Best Bluetooth I've Ever Had
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the best bluetooth I've ever had. This is a big upgrade over the first generation Motorola Sliver, which was similar in design, but not executed as well. with the Sliver II, the mic works great, which is usually a challenge for BT headsets. The design is discreet and hides behind the ear. The battery life is great (5 hours) and the charging case is terrific too. They both charge really quickly (less than 15 minutes). Over the years, I've bought loads of bluetooth headsets. I have had no success until this one. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a bluetooth headset.

high hope but no delivery
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. How can you put a 300 ft range on this thing and not even get 30 out of it. That's the main reason I bought it and it has trouble picking up the signal when my phone is in my back pocket! Other features are good like the charging station and sound quality. Weight is good and it lasts long on a full charge.

Great design concept, but...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased 2 of these! I returned the first after a week due to poor sound quality and issues with dropping connection to phone at 15-25 feet. I repurchased with hope I had a bad device. The reality was I got the same issues. Connections between phone and device were lost at 15-25 feet! UNACCEPTABLE! Let's discuss fit now. As far as fit was concerned, it was spot on. Get the correct size rubber cushion and you are good to go! Secure fit is a must for me. This did the trick. Having a carry case/charging case was a huge plus! It worked flawlessly! Sound volume was mediocre at best. Remember your ear will determine how good your volume is! I had the device turned up all the way and sound was not loud enough. If you pushed slightly on the device you could improve the sound. Once you released pressure, it would slowly, but surely move back out of the ear canal reducing sound volume! This was disappointing! Call clarity per the people I called was excellent! Noise canceling was equally good. However, the reason for 2 stars is because of fit, call volume, and lost connections to the phone. I expected more from this device and was disappointed! Hence the reason I purchased it twice before selecting the Plantronics Edge to replace my broken device which started this search! I use an Apple 5s with my devices.

Awesome headset
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just got this as a gift and exchanged for my Plantronics legend Voyager. I love how light and extremely comfortable it is with no ear fatigue. I think the included charging case is awesome and love how I can use my micro usb cord to charge both the case or headset separately without needing a special cord like the Voyager. I am able to use it with sunglasses and is very discreet and looks totally tech geeky.

Uhhhhh NO!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ok... I thought as company's evolved, the products would get better. I used a Sliver I for quite some time. After replacing that unit ohhhhh 6-7 times over the past year, I figured it was time to move on. What I really liked about the Sliver 1 was the fit and the sound quality. What I really disliked was: 1. After a month and a half or 2, it would fall apart. The thing is lite so I couldn't even use them as paper weights. 2. The constant resetting to factory and having to go through the voice system prompts every few days. 3. People complaining that it sounded like I was in a wind tunnel. I figured that I'd try the Sliver 2. After paying $139.00 or so for this thing (after tax), I took it out of the box and it seemed like the build quality was much better. I paired this device with my rooted Samsung S3 and my Samsung Note 8 as well as my Blackberry Bold with no issue (Something Bose has an issue with). This unfortunately is where it ended for me. 1. It doesn't fit nearly as well as the Sliver one. There is a sliding metal like piece that is supposed to adjust for your ear but I found that every time this went into my ear, the little rubber ear piece would fall off while adjusting it. I will also assume that after a little wear and tear, this little adjusting mechanism will become useless. 2. The sound. They really took away here. I thought the sliver 1 sound was quite good. Not exactly the Bose, but it was pretty good and I was happy with it. This model is terrible. The sound is very "tinny" and faint. The volume controls did not help (both on the device and on the phone). I give it a big fat ZERO for sound. 3. This device is a bit bulkier than the Sliver 1. I think if you're coming from another device, the sound on this might be an improvement. Don't kid yourself. I've had $30.00 BT's sound MUCH better than this. The only positive notes about this device are. 1. buttons in better positions makes it easier to manage. 2. No more need to carry the little black box around with you to re-charge it as it comes with a micro USB port right on the device. (It does come with the black box still which is very convenient for charging the device when no USB charger or computer is around) I was really hoping this would be a big improvement over the Sliver 1 but it looks like Motorola took 10 steps in the opposite direction with this piece.
