Customers are saying

Customers are delighted by the Sliver II Bluetooth Headset's excellent sound quality and comfortable fit. Many appreciate the long battery life and convenient charging case. However, some users experienced issues with the headset's range and volume, finding the connection to be less reliable than expected. Improvements in Bluetooth range and volume control would enhance the overall user experience.

Sounds good on my end, but not so good for others

This is a good headset if you just want to listen to music or are in a quiet environment. Others can tell if you are in a car, or in a mall, etc. Battery life is good with the charging case that is included.

This one has the best clarity and sound compared to any other bluetooth that I have used. I love how it switches between my cell phone, ipod and my computer with no problem.

I wear glasses, this was the only reason I couldn't use this head set. Volume and clarity was excellent. I actually tried to justify keeping it. Was not comfortable enough, though...

Tis better the SECOND time around!

Although this second version doesn't have the NFC capability like the first, it is much better overall. The battery life is shorter than its predecessor, but that's only by one hour short. I can do without the NFC since it was only used to pair the device and that was all. I have experienced no problems at all with this like I did with the first one. With the first one I had to exchange it about 4 different times before finally getting one that worked properly. The Sliver 2 is much more durable and not flimsy like the other.

This is so comfortable that I have almost fallen asleep with it on. The charging case is very convenient and has kept the headset from ever dying on me. It is so sleek that most people do not even notice it. Works great with voice commands on my Moto X phone.

I bought the Sliver 2 ,10 days ago and I found the same deficiencies as the Sliver 1: The needed twist to turn it on & Off is weak, it will break sooner than later unless you never turn it off. If the on / off switch breaks either you deactivate the BT in your phone or keep it in the charging box.The recharging box is plastic, after a few months of use the box will not hold the BT in place even with the lid closed. Once the BT is fully charged you will open the lid of the box and the BT will flash yellow which means more charging time, but if you pressed down then will flash green which means fully charged?. I like the design and how comfortable seats on the ear. Call reception was better on Sliver 1, noise reduction is OK. I was hoping for Motorola to improve the product but at this point they have not. I ended up returning the product to the store.

Every year or two I buy a BT headset for my phone thinking "surely they've perfected this technology by now". Unfortunately, every year or two I get a big let down. I wish so much that someone would come out with one that has good range and sound quality. But it never fails: I get a headset, and it works OK for a week or so, but after that, practically everyone I call BEGS me to turn the thing off and throw it out the car window. They all say the sound quality is horrendous, that they can barely hear me (even with the sound turned up) and that I sound like I'm talking through a tunnel. I thought this time that I'd spend a little more money and increase my chances for a winner but I was wrong. This thing is a very expensive, very cool looking, waste of time and money. Stay away!

So, I bought this thing for 129.00. Fairly expensive. I loved it out of the box but quickly I was told that background noise was awful compared to my other headsets. I did a little research and found that you needed the Motospeak app to adjust this. Well, it is not compatible with my Note3. So much for that. I just put up with it. After about 2 months the seam up near the volume control buttons started coming apart. When you turn the thing on it apparently puts pressure on this joint. It's under warranty so it's being replaced. I will be even more gentle now that I know this does happen. The noise reduction is the biggest turn off. Motorola needs to get on the ball. The Note 3 is a very popular phone. When the next one I receive wears out, breaks, etc. I will not get another one of these. I have a Plantronics Voyager Legend that is amazing. 7 hours talk time w/o having to charge it. The only reason I switched is because it's not comfortable and looks ridiculous. Bottom line, this thing could be good but I would not recommend it.

I purchased this headset just for the "answer" option, I'm a tattooer and a new father. I was looking for something comfortable, that I could use for long periods of time and that had voice capabilities. The "answer" option only worked once, when I got the headset and I got home to test it out.... there was no background noise. I bought the headset so I could answer my phone while I was tattooing and didnt have to take my gloves off. Used it this saturday while tattooing and missed 4 calls, and looked like an idiot yelling "ANSWER!" at least 4 times, just to have it miss the call. Right now I'm looking for something just as comfortable and under $100. I used best buy pick up in store option, no problems with that. Pros: -you don't look like such a douche while wearing it. -some people told me it looked expensive (it was ...$138.00). -I always have problems with earbuds and comfort with my ears, and this headset didn't bother me at all after I wore it for over 5 hrs. -easy to set up. Cons: -"Answer" option only works if you are in a really quiet place with no background noise, which was the main reason why I bought it and didn't mind paying $138.00 for it. -The price. I will probably end up returning or exchanging this for something just as comfortable and cheaper.

    Poor design, poor customer service

I purchased the Motorola Sliver II in September 2014 in April 2015 where the device begins to curve to go around the ear broke into two pieces after 6 months of use. I contacted Motorola who informed me they could not replace the item because it is broken so therefore it must be my fault and that they would go out of business if they replaced every broken product. I told them it is their faulty design that caused it to break in the first place. I will never buy another Motorola product.

Breaks after just a few month

I replaced this product 3 times because when it worked, it worked well. But having to twist to turn off and on caused the wires to break even though after the first time I was super careful. It just broke again and this time I will choose another product.

    Very Disappointed

Bought this as a gift and was told they loved it.........that was day one. Day 2 and beyond turned completely around with the earpiece disconnecting abruptly and ending calls on its own. That was with an Iphone5. So it was exchanged for another one with the same results. Thought I'd try it with my LG Optimus G Pro. Day 1 was great and then Day 2 it showed it's evil head again. The same exact results as with the Iphone. Basically the functions that it's supposed to have like caller ID, answer with voice, all work fine but it doesn't do the most basic function it was made for which is taking calls. Quite a shame.

Wish I Cud return it. Reception fades in and out in use, so I cant be hered most of the time. Makes cracklING sound. If you are not moving around then it will sit nice in the ears, otherwise it falls off easily. Cheaper models and brands work much better

    BAD LUCK? OR BAD PRODUCT?

I have bought 3 of these head sets and they all just quit! I do construction and drive around town a lot working, running calls, ect....First one quit connecting I thought maybe because it was 100+ degrees outside and I was on a roof. I had the warranty, and got another one. The next one got it fully charged, after having it for about a month, it did the same thing. I took care of this one better because I liked the headset itself, but when it quit I said 3rd times a charm hopefully??? WRONG after the first month it died also and wouldn't even turn back on. Now in the process of trying another one once again. I know from experience that it doesn't block out noise very well, atleast driving a work van, but I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone who does manual labor of any sort. It might work for people who are inside and not on the road...don't know. But just not for me after 3!!

I replace my previous Bose headset for this "supper improved" noise canceling feature and gest what?. My Motospeak App is not compatible jet with the Sliver II and you can't use any of the amaising features that this headset is supose to com with. My Galaxy note 3 it self don't reconice the headset. I spoke with Motorora and they told me that they don't know when the app update is going to be ready.

    Worst Customer Service!

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Bought the product in March 2014 and it died in September 2014. Contacted customer service who implied that because I didn't buy it from Motorola, they couldn't confirm my warranty without a sales receipt. They confirmed they would FedEx the new headset to me as soon as I sent them a picture of my receipt. Imagine my surprise (not really) when all of a sudden, now I have to either send them the defective headset or give them my CC number before they will send a new headset. Imagine my continued surprise (again not really) that they won't ship the new headset for 3-5 days after they receive my headset. I still don't have a replacement headset! Customer service sucks. Continued hoop jumping for a WARRANTY replacement. Don't bother buying this or anything else from Motorola unless you are a glutton for punishment.

    Worst fit ever

I have small ears and have been searching/purchasing Bluetooth's for the past year. This one has the worst fit possible. It's big and bulky and dangles on the ear. It doesn't fit into the ear canal. It doesn't have voice command and stays on and connected to your phone if you have it in the charger because you have to have it turned a certain way to charge or carry. The case is cool but you must disconnect the Bluetooth for it not to be on while in the case.
