This device works perfectly. The only gripe is it taking 30 seconds to a minute to connect to my phone. However, once connected, there have been zero hiccups and is actually more stable than when I was using Android Auto wired.

Great product that enables a wireless Bluetooth connection between an Android phone and the in-car Android Auto system. Installation is quick and simple, and it operates flawlessly. Best when used in conjunction with a non-contact phone charger.

Connected once. Then never again. Complicated to install. *(Motorola REALLY funbled the ball on this one...) [After that i installed ABUNE [SO much easier but Lots of disconnecting], then the solution: AA WIRELESS 2 + a better USB>C cable= Bliss.]

    • Brand response from Motorola Customer Care
      Posted .

Hi JoeD, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re sorry to hear about the difficulty you encountered connecting the Motorola Wireless Car Adapter with your 2020 RAV4. We understand how frustrating it can be when the setup doesn’t work as expected, especially when reliability is important for daily driving. For the Motorola Wireless Car Adapter, we recommend confirming that your phone, the Android Auto app, and your vehicle’s infotainment system are all fully updated. Using a high-quality USB-C data cable connected directly to the vehicle’s USB port is important during the initial pairing process. Removing previous Android Auto pairings from both the phone and the vehicle, then restarting both before setting up the adapter again, can also help improve connection stability. Additionally, ensuring Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled on the phone, disabling battery optimization for Android Auto, and keeping the adapter firmware up to date may help maintain a more consistent connection. We appreciate you sharing what ultimately worked for you, and your feedback is valuable to us as we continue to improve our products. -Mitch MotorolaMobility

Did not work in my car, however, it could be that my car was running an old version of Android. Based on other reviews from online, it seems that this would work for most cars.

It is very slow to connect and loses connectivity at random times. Also the 2 sided tape would not stay stuck. I had to purchase better tape. This is the best one reviewed on several videos on youtube. Had I known this i would have stayed with the plug in cable.

This works amazing. Autoconnect to Android auto and not having to worry about a cable. You can now get a decent charge using your rapid charger rather than connecting to a low amp cord.

Pros: Looks nice, easy connection and it starts up fast on my 2021 Silverado. Cons: Crashes within 30 minutes of connection. Just using Waze and Spotify. Once it crashes the first time it will crash constantly every 5 minutes after that.
