    Great product, but a heads-up...

This product performs quite well. It holds the monitor solidly in an impressive array of positions. I did run into a problem though, and even though this has more to do with the monitor (and I'll probably post this in a review there), I'll share it here. I have the 27" curved Samsung CRG5 series monitor, and while the holes are spaced fine for that monitor, the design of the back of that monitor makes it impossible to attach all 4 screws. I am fortunate enough to have an angle grinder that i used to take off the excess tabs around the screw hole, but if you don't have that ability, know that your monitor may not work with this mount. The attached pictures will explain this better. Also, it's too early to judge the longevity of the mount and the piston, but if anything goes wrong, I'll update the review.

I've had great luck with the Mount-It brand for a tv mount and decided to give this a try for my monitor. Installation was easy, but do be mindful of how the instructions tell you to remove the cable tracks. I didn't pay attention and partly broke one but it still works. Being user error, I'm not complaining and just letting my mistake be your education. I was also pleasantly surprised at just how high and maneuverable this stand can go. Once set and tensioned properly, I can effortlessly move my monitor however I need, including being able to lift and turn it down to use my monitor's bias lighting as a work light when working on other projects on my desk. I know this may not apply to everyone, but was a great unexpected benefit of this arm.

We live in an RV with the tv built into a televator on the desk. I needed a solution that would fold away when done working, the drop back down to perfect viewing angle for work the next day. Introduce these mounts! They work perfectly! With full motion I am able to swing the monitors fully against the sides of the wall to watch movies, then drop them right back down for work. They were easy to assemble, cords stay in place in them, and easy to adjust. You won’t regret buying these. Just be cautious when working with them. They are fast strut style, so the will extend on their own if you compress them. The bottom swivel at the base isn’t a full 360 degree spin. If I’m guessing, I would say it’s about 345 degrees, but not a big deal. Still much more than most.

This mount was life changing for me! Having a mounted monitor is a must especially for competitive gamers. Being able to adjust the height and how close I want my monitor to my eyes is amazing. I can’t see myself gaming without an arm now.

Been using it for a bit of time now and I have to say, Love it. This is the second monitor arm I have ever owned, and both have been Mount-it! products. Pros: -The tension on the arm is great and so far has held up nicely. -Easy to set up. -Nice cable management. -Great range of movement for my setup. Cons: -No matter how hard I tighten the base to my desk, it shifts to my right slightly. -It's a bit hard to hit that sweet spot where the monitor is more or less leveled out without it tilting slightly to one side or the other (thou to be honest, it's not as bad as it sounds, but when I notice it, I can't help but keep adjusting it till I have it the way I like it. -The material is a bit rough rather than smooth (only an issue when you dust it off, and if it get's marked it will stay marked as it's not glossy. Not a real huge con, but something to be aware of) -A bit pricy (but in all honesty could have been worse) All in all I am happy with this purchase

1 Year Owned - Still Perfect

Ive owned for 1 Year now. I had some worries as many reviews say that either it cant hold their monitors, or the tightening is virtually impossible to loosen and adjust. This arm is heavy duty, metal the whole way around except under the arm of the base, where it can be detached to hold your wires. If you got thick wires, it kinda sucks, but even then, it holds pretty well. The wires if fiddled enough can flat out hide your wires. It comes with a way to hold the screen whether you made a hole through the desk, or if you are putting it on at the end of the table. I can say, WITH CONFIDENCE, that this will hold your monitor. This thing is S T R O N G. Barely any wiggle, and you can rotate the screen. I dont write reviews at all, but I had to search long and hard for something that wouldnt break on me like so many reviewers say and wish to spread the word to any who want a monitor arm already like i was a year ago. If you are looking for a strong and heavy duty that is less than $100, I'm telling you right now, this is it.

Very great and sturdy arms. I love how it allows you to detach monitors really quickly instead of having to unscrew the vesa mounts just to detach the monitor. Makes it so much easier and quicker. Also love how many different positions I can put my monitors in. If doing a dual monitor setup, I highly recommend buying two of these so you can have to freedom to set it in any way you want with no limitations like a dual arm stand. Also it holds up my 31.5 inch monitor very well! I wouldn’t use any monitors larger than 31.5 inches. Highly recommend these arm stands!!

With adjustments, it is very sturdy and holds my monitor (Alienware 27 in) wherever and however I want it. The box had all but a screwdriver (allen wrenches and washers, etc.). I had to ask for another person to help in the last step: connecting my monitor. My monitor is a little heavy and the part you connect to was looser than I needed. I didn't know yet that I had to tighten it. So, tighten the arms and moving connections until after you connect your monitor so it doesn't drop down on you. I like it though.

Good value single arm mount. Has the longest horizontal reach of any single-monitor arms that I could find, and it is stable at full extension. It takes quite a bit of strength to adjust the height tension, but this is probably a good thing. Very nice that it has cable management, with room for at least the power cord, HDMI cable, and an audio cable. An additional VGA cable might be pushing it but I haven't tried it.

I am returning the mount not because it isn't good but because I unfortunately have an oddly built glass desk and am afraid that because of the way the desk is manufactured, it will eventually shatter the glass top. Pretty easy to assemble and take apart. My only gripe is that the directions do not explain how to properly use the adjustment key. The heavier/larger the monitor, the looser you want the adjuster. Its counter intuitive but. After adding more tension my 34" ultra wide kept collapsing the arm. After loosening the tension, and hanging the monitor, the weight allowed it to stay at the height i move it to.

Great arm for the price. The ergotron arm is much better quality and easy of adjustment. But once positioned it works just as good for much cheaper. So if you are not moving your monitor, this one is perfect.

I've been very pleased with the strength of this arm. It can manage a 17lb 32" monitor with no issues with drift or drooping. The cable management troughs are great at hiding the cables from sight, and are easy to use. Overall, a great monitor arm.
