I should preface this by saying that I'm a metalhead, and that my typical listening during the peak of The Cars' popularity consisted of bands like Iron Maiden, Motorhead, etc. However, I've always enjoyed the upbeat, catchy melodies delivered by The Cars. The songs are all very simple, but they're also a lot of fun. This release gives a pretty good overview of the band's most popular songs, the sound is good, and the packaging, etc., is good as well. The reason I had to give it four stars rather than five is that it doesn't include the song "Magic," which seems like a major oversight. It reached No. 1 on the Billboard Top Rock Tracks, and No. 12 on the Billboard Hot 100, so it would seem to be an obvious choice for inclusion. Other than that, it's a good compilation of the well-known hits with a few lesser-known tracks thrown into the mix.

Cars songs speak for themselves. Its finding a CD with the most classics compilation. It just depends on which are your favorites. This 18 song digital collection is by Rhino, so the sound is great.

The hits on remastered sound. For instance "drive, shake it up" sound better here than on original CD release. Miss the sound of original bassist Benjamin Orr. The cars should of put out more music but ego's get in the way.

Good songs on this CD. Wish it had a hard plastic cover for the CD instead of one made of cardboard.

Most of these iconic songs cane out when I was a kid.Lots of good classics on this compilation.
