I should preface this by saying that I'm a metalhead, and that my typical listening during the peak of The Cars' popularity consisted of bands like Iron Maiden, Motorhead, etc. However, I've always enjoyed the upbeat, catchy melodies delivered by The Cars. The songs are all very simple, but they're also a lot of fun. This release gives a pretty good overview of the band's most popular songs, the sound is good, and the packaging, etc., is good as well. The reason I had to give it four stars rather than five is that it doesn't include the song "Magic," which seems like a major oversight. It reached No. 1 on the Billboard Top Rock Tracks, and No. 12 on the Billboard Hot 100, so it would seem to be an obvious choice for inclusion. Other than that, it's a good compilation of the well-known hits with a few lesser-known tracks thrown into the mix.

This is missing Magic and Bye Bye Love, but other than those it's a nice career spanning compilation of the Cars work.

If you grew up in the 80s or 90s, you listened to The Cars. This is a collection of their best. 'Nuff Said.
