Carafe keeps coffee hot for a couple of hours, or until finished. I like the stronger brewing function in order to use less grounds for a good tasting cup of coffee. I've used it almost every other day for the past month and am happy with my purchase.

I really like the thermal carafe as compared to a heated plate. This new model is easier to use with the new control panel.
