The worst I got it and the 1st 10 cups of coffee Tasted like plastic. It took me two bottles of vodka to finally remove the awful taste of the coffee.

Purchased in Feb - 6 months later the display is distorted and the brew now button doesn't work - not worth the money spent.

If you want coffee and don't want to break the bank this is the coffee maker for you. It works great and the coffee is great. I guess your mileage varies depending on the coffee grounds you buy. It is very easy to program and works great for coffee in the morning. It is also very easy to keep clean and to clean if you make a mess.

I bought this Mr. Coffee pot because I always buy Mr. Coffees. This design broke in 1 month. The coffee pot would not make coffee.

Filled it up with water, and it proceeded to leak all over my kitchen counter. No more Mr Coffee brewers for me (with respect to Joe Dimaggio).

First let me say, I am a coffee snob. I like my bells, whistles, grinder, timer, and precise brew functions. I also hate cleaning up after, so was excited to try this basic, dishwasher safe, coffee maker. In the box are the coffee maker, 12 cup carafe, filter basket, and a replaceable monthly carbon filter with a reminder slider to keep track of when you last replaced. Setup is intuitive and you can be ready to run a clean cycle (or first pot of coffee) within 2 minutes. The noticeable difference with this coffee maker is that the claims are true, you really can throw the top half of this thing in the dishwasher. It will get clean and seems sturdy enough to withstand routine washing. The functionality is basic, but expected for this price range. There is a brew delay timer function, a brew now function, and auto off. The 12 cup reservoir is large and easy to fill, pour in water anywhere in the large back area and you're on your way. Sadly, after multiple attempts to brew a pot of medium ground coffee, I have only had one success where all of the water poured into the reservoir made it through the filter basket and into the carafe. Most of the time the water pools in the coffee filter basket then overflows back into the reservoir creating a mess. Second the brew pause, is more like a slow drip. I was unable to get the drip seal to ever fully seat, creating another mess under the carafe. Lastly, the coffee that does complete the brew cycle seems weak in comparison to my other 12 cup coffee maker, when using the same amount of coffee. Overall, it's a meh, maybe with time I can figure out the right amount of water and coffee to not have it overflow or taste weak.

It does exactly what it is supposed to do, but I did learn a few things. 1. Do wash in the dishwasher as directed first! The plastic smell of the parts is strong and typically a good sink wash works, but not for this one. 1 cycle in the dishwasher and the plastic smell went away and the coffee tasted infinitely better. 2. Like most coffee makers, the fill lines in the reservoir don't always match output. Especially with less than full pot brews. For 4 cups, add about a 1/3 more more water. Going higher in brew size it matched the reservoir capacity. 3. I don't like the included filter. It changes the brew strength and its plastic. 4. Like any new coffer maker, you have to keep brewing to learn how it brews. 5. The carafe can only rest on the warming plate a certain way. 6. Instructions say don't leave it plugged in due to malfunction, yet it has a clock/delay brew function!? The timed brew works as directed as long as you leave it plugged in. Mine comes with the included pod water filter. I did not use as I already brew with filtered water. But I had my reservations on using it anyway, it just seem something that stays wet and sits in the dark is prime for growing mold. I'm sure it just a activated carbon granuales, but unless you are brewing every morning, which I don't, I'm not too sure about. But I didn't test it, so just being skeptical at this point. It is a decent coffee maker that gets the job done. This Mr. Coffee replaced my 17 year old Mr. Coffee 4 cup maker which the plate finally started to loose its finish. I don't brew all the time, but I'm expecting similar life span or close here.

Then, took for ever to make coffee and got really loud the entire time ..

This is your good ole standard Mr. Coffee and it makes every day life easier with the dishwasher ability. You know how coffee machines usually get yuck after awhile? No more worries you can stick this bad boy right in the dishwasher. I enjoy the carafe for when guests are over. The top of the brewer pops off and the carafe can all go into the dishwasher. No more yuck and it will make your brewer like new and brew like new. It has all your essentials like brew later, small led display, etc. This brewer is great if all you want is your standard mr. coffee with an easier clean solution. I recommend it.

I have owned numerous Mr. Coffee's over the years and I'm never dissatisfied with the product. They are a workhorse! This latest version is real nice, especially having the ability to disassemble portions of the coffeemaker so it is easier to clean AND put in the dishwasher with no ill-effects to the maker itself! A clean pot makes better coffee! The grab-a-cup feature is always nice, but not new. It comes in handy when you're in a hurry and can't wait for the entire pot to be brewed. Whenever I have to buy a new coffeemaker I ALWAYS purchase a Mr. Coffee ... well-known and an extremely reliable brand.

When I first unboxed this coffee maker, I thought it seemed "cheap". After trying it however, I realized that for a simple coffee maker it had some great functional features such as the cord being able to hide in the side, the ability to pause while brewing, a built in filter (not sure if I will use but nice feature), and best of all - it breaks down so that pretty much everything but the base can go into the dishwasher. You can also set the timer to brew later - nice to wake up to a cup of coffee all ready in the morning. This is a great, simple yet practical coffee maker.

I feel like now a days all the coffee makers have all the bells and whistles and more options of how to make your coffee than you know what to do with. Well this coffee maker is old school and I love it. It’s your basic coffee maker, has a big pot and it’s easy to clean. It does come apart completely for cleaning which is a really interesting feature I’ve never thought out. The whole thing is dishwasher safe. I recommend this coffee maker if you’re looking for a classic version of a coffee maker!

Almost an oxymoron but it really is simple with technology. Easy clean, easy instructions, easy to make coffee without all these extra thousands of buttons that make a portable Starbucks. Some people just like a nice cup of Joe and like to keep it simple. If you're simple guy who likes his Joe in the morning without having to launch into outer space with 110 buttons, this is the coffee pot for you. Others have 15 buttons that make 30 different types of drinks but do you really need all that?

I am a gadget type of person and I must say that I was a bit disappointed that this Mr Coffee model did not have many bells and whistles. However, I have another coffee maker with too many of those and I am not impressed anymore because of a very simple feature that is missing on it but not on this: a warming feature that stays on for up to four hours. This is not a high-end coffee brewer but now I like it more than the much more expensive one that I own. What good do those features do if a few minutes after you brew some coffee, you cannot drink it anymore because it is cold? Fortunately, the warm feature was not the only thing I loved about this coffee maker. Equally important is being able to toss it in the dishwasher. The only part that is not washable is the base, which is the electric part of course. That allows me to enjoy my cup of Joe without worrying about cleaning the coffee maker later. Who likes cleaning anyway? Of course, there is the decalcifying cleaning to do once a month but I can live with that. It is programmable and fast. Setup is very easy and intuitive. You add coffee and water at night and you have your coffee waiting for you in the morning. Just set the time and press the Brew Later button. Although you have the option of a usable filter, I still prefer the paper type because I think the coffee tastes a lot better that way. After considering that this is no hi-end model, I could hardly find anything bad about it. The only thing to notice is that I almost downgraded my rating because the carafe feels like plastic. I trust what the manual says. It states that it is glass and it does look so but it is an extremely light type. It is hard to tell it is not plastic. No problem with that at all but I would have given it only three stars if it were not glass. Fortunately, it is glass. Love it!

An inexpensive coffee maker that you can break down and clean in the dishwasher even bottom rack(except electrical base). Machine also includes an auto-clean cycle and a monthly disposable water filter cartridge and reusable mesh filter The upper lid access is a nice big oval and makes things easy to access. After you figure out the correct mix of coffee, grind and water for the coffee you like it is consistent and makes good coffee. You can choose the timer or make coffee with the push of a button. the warmer stays on for 4hrs or you can manually turn it off. Easy to use and is a good basic machine that is easy to clean. It is well built. Only negative is having to buy monthly water filters.

Nothing extraordinary to add. It's slick, easy to clean, fast and efficient. The timer is easy to use, and has yet to malfunction. The cleaning is worth noting since the entire top unit can easily be disassembled and placed in the dishwasher. I've had issues with cleaning and mold in the past due to hard to reach crevices. The only downfall is actually the greatest addition. The filtration system. It does work. Coffee does seem to be more flavorful using unfiltered water. The downside is the filter has to be replaced every month. Another expense. I didn't downgrade the rating because the coffee maker works just fine without it. Great coffee maker, plain and simple!

Makes good coffee and staying on for 4 hours is convenient, There is a lot of condensation dripping off the lid when you open it and the carafe also drops condensation when you pour coffee. Convenient to use.

I liked that this coffee maker had a dishwasher safe internals to keep the coffee maker clean. It has a delayed start so you can have coffee brewing the next day. I feel the plastic it is made of is cheap and easily scratched looking used already.

it would have taken at least 10-15 minutes to get a full pot. the caraf lock is not close enough to the brew basket to allow a better drip. i placed a kitchen cloth rag underneath the caraf and now it only takes about 4 minutes or so. the brewing is excellent and the coffee has great full body taste and was well worth the price of half off".
