Have not been able to detach the lid for cleaning, I don't want to force it & possibly break it. I do not use the in on-board filter as we have a R-O filter for drinking water. Only big downside is the recommendation to avoid 'softened' water as we have a softener system.

Although the quality seems very cheap, it delivers the best at this price point. I like the warmer function and water filtering is an advantage I should say.

A great price for a backup

We are loyal Mr. Coffee customers and our current unit with a stainless steel pot is working well. We bought this as a backup for a great price at Best Buy and we’re pleased to see that some parts are machine washable-a first for us.

The coffee maker is much bigger than expected. Didn’t think it was going to be a big coffee maker but was pleasantly surprised. Grab it. You won’t regret it

Coffee maker - works well - design flaw with lid

My primary complaint is that the lid won't remain open. I have to prop it open by my cabinet door. Annoying. Otherwise works as expected.

Or I can make a full pot of great coffee. An clean up is so easy. Was a lot of thought and friendly design. My 14 year old grand son makes my coffee now. Until he gets board, lol.
