I needed a computer for college as well as one that would be able to handle some gaming on the side and when I found this for it's price I knew that it was perfect for my wants. The laptop itself feels very sturdy and is quite powerful and runs my games very smoothly.

I bought this laptop to study architecture, the specifications are good and I hope it gives me the best performance.

My son has done several school projects since getting this laptop, and for the first time doesn't complain about his gaming experiences! I'm very glad we made the purchase. And we couldn't have been happier with the helpfulness and knowledge of the staff at Best Buy.

This is my Son's first Gaming laptop and although the initial product had camera issues, the replacement was on-point! The hard drive eventually took a nosedive and while I took advantage of the warranty, the repairs and return took way too long. Needless to say, my son spent the Summer without his laptop. Repairs however, rendered the product almost brand new and have not disappointed!

have used for about two weeks now, absolutely love almost everything about it. however, the speakers are absolutely atrocious. i assume they want everyone to use a headset as it is a gaming laptop. But it would be nice if i could hear ANYTHING without them. pretty embarrasing when your friends come to check out the new tech and i cant even get it loud enough to hear voices over a cats water bowl. that being said, great laptop otherwise and would recommend happily.

its a really good computer but omg does it get hot. definatly something you wanna have on a desk not your lap

MSI has created a good quality product. After 6 months of use its fair to say that Im satisfied. Awesome enough to be desktop replacement (to me). Also, during the time that I purchased it video card prices were insane, and this offered the an extremely good value.

I bought this laptop over the MacBook Pro for specs, and though with regards to this there were pros and cons, I really enjoy using this new MSi computer that I ultimately decided on. I recommend it if you're looking for a machine to run gaming on or even edit videos.

Bought for my granddaughter to attend STEM school. So far it meets all her school requirements. Display frame is a bit thin, so care must be taken during opening and closing to prevent cracking. It is holding up under the use of a 14 teen year old school girl.

For the price this laptop cannot be beat, Love the 1060 and the quality of the case. I am tempted to use over my MBP which is no easy feat. Could be a setting, but my game starts to lag as the battery gets low, have not played with the settings for the GPU.

This laptop is fanatastic. No complaints from a performance standpoint. Only con is that it is not durable. Make sure your travel bag provides maximum protection. One drop or tap against a solid object and the frame bends/dents easily.

Good laptop, great specs and I can run any game out there now, but the fan can get a little loud

This laptop is a very good one. It has a nice steel case to protect and and it is light weight.

Got this for school, to run engineering programs. Runs them much faster than my previous laptop.

Great laptop for the price. Wanted an MSI gaming laptop with a GTX 1080 but decided to go with this model with the GTX 1060. Not disappointed. It is more than capable handling the graphics of the games I tend to play (PUBG, FFXIV, etc..). Screen is clear from all viewing angles. Does get pretty warm, but it is a laptop so it was expected. Will be buying a Laptop Cooling Pad in the future. Overall very satisfied with the product.

This was a good choice for a first time gaming computer. Boxing is fancy, computer is built solid. LIght up keys is pretty cool. Speed is good. Not as portable as my mac laptop but don't expect to use it on the road much so not really an issue.

Have been looking around for a more powerful laptop to upgrade too. This one fit most of the things was looking for at a decent price. So far everything is good but haven't had a chance to fully test how it preforms under more intensive thing.

This laptop can do everything you want it to do and more! If I had to make a complaint it would be that the mouse is hard to click down. However, must people using this laptop will be using an external mouse so that shouldn’t be a major issue.

Needed to upgrade our computer due to new software for our business and the MSI laptop gave us all the needed specs and features at a decent cost. We are still learning of some of the features though it is running our new software with ease.

I'm an IT student and an avid game, so my computer must be powerful and fast! I'm a big fan of gaming laptops and previously owned an ALIENWARE 15 R2 until it died on me, for the second time. After a thorough research, I came across this beautiful MSI laptop. One of the reviews called my attention when it mentioned that the laptop was as powerful as any gaming computer out there, but also very light and professional looking. I head to see it for myself! When I got to best buy, it was love at first sight. So here I am! This laptop is fast! in a matter of minutes I already have as much if not more programs running and running as fast as ever! The keyboard is not loud and it's very easy to get used to. I'm a big fan of the number keypad, a feature my old gaming laptop lacked. I'm having a hard time getting used to the mouse function, but it's no big deal. The Dragon Center is a dream come true, a reliable software designed by MSI to keep track of storage, usage, and performance for your laptop. If you're looking for something extremely fast and powerful, this is your laptop! I can now take my computer to school without being embarrassed because of my bulky laptop. I'm now a proud owner of one of, if not the best, gaming laptop out there. The specs on this thing are all I wanted and needed for my tasks with running IT and CS software for my classes and for my gaming. The 256SSD is one of my favorites, it's big enough space to make sure the essential programs run as fast as they can. The 16gb memory and the NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 1060 makes sure all my games and programs run beautifully. The MSI Laptop is a winner!
