I've been wanting this laptop for a while. And after I finally had the money to buy it, I was beyond excited. The first couple of months was awesome. Then, issues started to surface. First, the blue screen of death. I have an Acer laptop that I've used for more than 5 years. Never had that problem before. Second, I think it's great to have the Dragon Center to help to cool down your laptop while you're gaming. BUT, one morning, the Dragon Center decided not to work. I clicked it so many times, but it won't open / run. I reboot my laptop few times too just to make sure. But, no luck. I finally decided to delete the software and reinstall it. This was also suggested by some people at the MSI Forum on Facebook. But still, no luck. I eventually had to factory reset my laptop. That was my only choice. Without the Dragon Center, the laptop will get extremely hot while gaming. After I factory reset it, you can only imagine the pain to have re-download some of the stuff that I had before and to back up files on MSI laptop is a bit annoying. For some reason, it won't let me to do back up at all. Not sure why. Anyways, after that, everything went normal again. Until 3 weeks ago. The backlight for the laptop decided to break. The screen went really dim. I had no choice but to send this back to Bestbuy and get it fixed. I didn't get the protection plan that they have because I just couldn't afford it. Now, for a student like me, a 1300 USD laptop is very expensive. When you spent that much money on a laptop, you would've expect that the laptop will run good with minimal issues. Which it did but with all these issues that I had, it's pretty disappointing. My Acer laptop is less than 400 dollars and rarely have any problem. Less than a year using this MSI laptop and one issue after another keep popping up. Very disappointing.

I absolutely love my MSI. I will never go back to any other brands. Definitely worth my money!!

This laptop is amazing. I get 60 frames on every game I play, even on the highest graphics settings.

I purchased this laptop to replace an older laptop. This laptop is a pleasant replacement.

It's been about 12 years since I've owned any sort of PC gaming rig. I wanted to get back into, yet remain portable, it so I did some research and narrowed it down to this and the similarly priced (couple hundred more) Alienware. After checking out the Alienware and a Dell G7 in the store, I initially bought the G7 due to price and hardware. Well, after using it for a day or two I hated its size/weight and the fan sounded like a jet engine. Returned it to BB and bought this MSI. The MSI is lightweight, gets about 5.5 hours of battery life without gaming (2 or so if you are playing games), has a really cool keyboard and a nice sleek design. I have been playing PUBG, Rainbow Six: Seige, CS:GO and ARMA III with zero framerate issues at max everything, truly impressive for a laptop. Yes there is a little fan noise (as to be expected) and frankly the speaker isnt exactly mind blowing, but other than that I cant think of any negatives so far.Overall very impressed.
