Customers are saying

Customers regard this 15.6" gaming laptop as having excellent performance and impressive graphics capabilities, praising its keyboard and lightweight design. While some users noted the fan noise and heat generation, many felt the positives outweighed these drawbacks. The laptop's build quality, portability, and SSD/hard drive combination also received positive feedback.

Overall not too bad for what purchased it for which was mainly a cost effective portable for HyperV learning. The keyboard and touchpad are not good at all so beware, but if you have a wireless keyboard and mouse then it's not an issue as much, The video isn't the best, but I don't use that so it was not a feature that was important in this purchase, however, if it is for you, you may want to really check out the issues with that functionality.

    Great Gaming Computer

So far this computer has been great overall! There are a few things I don't like, but they are design related. Otherwise, I would have given it 5 stars. Pros: The laptop is super thin and also light for a gaming computer. this makes it easy to carry arround and even use it on my lap. Performance is awesome. I play games like Arma 3 with 120 players on a map at the same time, all seeting on ultra and I don't drop below 60fps. On games like BF1 I get an avg of 72fps. Heat management so far is amazing. this thing has 3 fans and they do their job. they do keep this baby cool. Full RGB keyboard and you can program each individual key. Cons: Fans can be loud, but this was expected (It is a gaming laptop!) Big cable connections are on the right side. This is very annoying. Both display ports and charger connections are on the right side and the cables can get on your way when using a mouse. Trackpad is not that great, but who cares! If you are going to be gaming, you are probably going to us a mouse anyway. Battery life is very low, but this also common or expected with a gaming laptop of this size. Overall I am very pleased with this laptop so far. Most of the cons are areas or things that were expected.

The MSI GS63 Stealth - 010 is one of the best gaming laptop I have found under the budget of 1500$, When I bought it. This is my first gaming laptop and I am truly madly and deeply in love with it. I can't live a day without playing on it. Now lets talk about the details of laptop. 1. Build & Design: The body is very thin made of aluminum because of which the laptop is incredibly lightweight, which is one of the best aspects of this laptop. For a 15.6" laptop, it is a very compact laptop among other gaming laptops present in market and is quite light as well (nearby 2KG). The design is superb. The keyboard comes with RGB lighting which can be customized or disabled as per your need. The quality of the lighting is superb. As far as the display, it's awesomeee. 2. Performance: The i7-8750H is super fast as per my expirence. The GPU GTX 1060 is supporting most of the games available today with full graphics. Sadly to say this that after I bought it new GPU's are launched in market with GTX 2080. This is a good thing as it allows the computer to run cooler and have better battery life without significant drop in performance. However, MSI has done a really good job. There are also two large air intake vents on the top. As a result, the laptop stays relatively cool while gaming. Also this laptop have bottom protection to save you from feeling heat while you put it on your lap and playing. 3. Battery: This is one of the big selling points to me. For such a powerful laptop, the battery during normal operation is phenomenal. I average between 6-8 hours while surfing(depending on what all I have open). Gaming is substantially less - around 2 hour to 3 hours (this is again depending on the games you playing). My Last Words: Finally I am giving full credit to MSI for delivering an awesome product. If you're a hardcore gamer who needs a solid laptop and who also likes to play some games - this is the perfect laptop for you. I hope this helps someone in making his/her decision. In simple words I would suggest to just go for it and have a feel of what MSI really did to make this product best for gamers. Can’t say more as I have to go and break some eggs and kick some ----- on this laptop.

Now I do game, 2D and VR, but I mainly picked up the laptop to get more work done in 3D/CAD modeling using a small variety of modeling programs. In terms of gaming, it's does a good job, I haven't run crazy, highly detailed, GPU hungry games on it yet, but it does a good job with good detail settings on the games I've run, and you should be satisfied with the gaming experience. Just keep within reason that you don't have the biggest and baddest GPU crammed into this thin laptop. If you want more power they have an option for a nVidia 1070 for $300 more with more on board ram. VR runs to a degree, but I wouldn't go trying out games ported to VR like Fallout 4 VR, or Skyrim VR. 2D to VR ports like those games are not optimized even for desktop VR setups, Bethesda just made them work (Not without the usual flaws). Made for VR games are a better choice for this laptop as the games are optimized for a wider variety of systems like this one, this laptop being on the lower end of operational for VR laptops. Play with your Super-sampling (Default or lower), get rid of AA, and expect some graphical sacrifices, and you can game comfortably in VR, Basically, it'll run some VR games pretty good, but expect some choppiness as VR demands some computer horsepower to stay nice and smooth. Some games are optimized better then others, with varying levels of rendering details and textures. As developers adjust games for more self contained headsets, we'll see if they adjust PC version settings as well. Then maybe this laptop could play more VR games without as much tweaking to run smoothly. 3D/modeling and CAD work using Fusion 360 and a few other programs has been pretty enjoyable, no faults on the laptop. My only option for internet where I live is Satellite, so a cloud based 3d program like Fusion is only slow when I upload, and download. Having Satellite internet is the main reason why I can't review too many different games as Satellite providers give you small data limits, and then cut your speed to only twice to three times faster then 56k dial-up modem speeds. So downloading my games library is a chore as I have to drive to the library to leech off their connection. I've already done it for updates and a few games, but not for a week or two. Back to the laptop: The keyboard fells good to type on. The programmable LED's are a nice touch for dark rooms and shortcut marking. The touchpad feels alright. Having the SSD + Hard drive configuration works great to give you the load speed for the laptop and programs you save on the SSD and the affordable storage of the hard drive. The build quality is good with my only wish being a third hinge for the middle of the screen as there is some flex when pushed. Nothing horrible, just my preference to not have bend. My only gripe is not much of one because almost every thin laptop has this issue, the speakers aren't that loud or as clear in all frequencies. Thin laptops always have this issue since good sound comes from good speakers with adequate thickness, size, and material composition. Grab some headphones, Bluetooth speakers, or plug-in speakers to make up for the "Meh" sound. The audio app they give you does give you a good way of making up for the laptop speakers. So far I'm happy. It's a nice laptop, with some real nice features.
