After a few month using this laptop, it started acting up. It this sqeaky noise comes from the cooling fan. Brought it to bestbuy, but it would take a couple weeks to send out for them to look at. Would not recommend.

I sat at the store for 2 hours looking at reviews and websites about all the models and after that time my budget and preference landed on this MSI model. From what I read from notebookcheck.net this was going to be the best deal for my dollar. Performance so far is quick, smooth, and highly enjoyable. The only issue that is in my sights is the heat that it produces. I'll eventually buy a cooling pad. The fan built in is fine but I would like extra cooling power. Plus the keyboard is sleek and great to type with. Every feature that I've engaged so far is fairly intuitive

Wasn't sure to get this or the Asus, so I went into the West Hollywood location to see both brands in person (since the specs of each are relatively competitive)-- this one is definitely amazing! Great feel, great design, fantastic SteelSeries light up keyboard and the lap is absurdly light weight. It's surprising thin for a gaming laptop, but doesn't feel cheap or flimsy- I instantly decided and took it home. Great specs, fantastic FPS! WoW- 100 FPS in Zuldazar, 80-100 in raids with settings to High/Ultra)-- amazing duality for a gaming/work laptop! Would recommend!

I bought this laptop as a requirement for my major (Computer Science). This is one of the best laptops I have ever owned. It was a major upgrade for me. I would recommend this laptop to anyone who is into programming, gaming, or anything else that needs a fast processor or memory. 5 Stars. PROS: -Lightweight -Color keyboard (coolest feature) -Quality + quality packaging -Very fast at running tasks CONS: -Expensive -Charger is bulky -Battery life is not so great on gaming laptops -Mousepad needs extra pressure (Use a mouse instead)

Great gaming laptop. Very lightweight and portable, with lots of power. Can run many games easily at 60+fps, RGB lit keyboard is beautiful, along with runs relatively cool. Only qualm is the sound system. The pricepoint is kinda high compared to other laptops of these specs, but definltey worth it, with plenty of ports, future proof with thunderbolt port, and fans that blast your processor to icy temps. Dragon center is a great addon to manage all things to enhance your gaming experience to processor speeds, fan speeds, to monitor settings.

had this computer only a month and a windows update killed it. sent it to msi and they replaced mother board. it broke again after another windows update. another mother board.

This laptop provides an excellent balance between performance and portability. It also has a great build and cool yet not too flashy design.

I loved my MSI Dominator 72 I bought about 4 years ago, it was a titan of a computer. Great specs for it's time. Recently, the motherboard finally said it's last goodbye and I knew I had to upgrade. I wanted to stick with MSI because of they're sleek design and because it's Blizzard Entertainment's preferred brand. I am in LOVE with the new Steelseries RBG keyboard, I use the Chakra setting. I can also play World of Warcraft and Overwatch on Ultra setting without a hiccup of computing at all. Great brand, great price, great laptop.

I’ve been on the hunt for a few months. Have bought, tested and returned more than I’ll admit. This one showed up this week and I was hesitant due to the experiences with MSI. Alex at my local Best Buy said the right things and I gave it a shot. This is a solid build. Steelseries KB, good memory and storage and a great graphics card. Minecraft looks incredible to my 15-yr-old, so it isn’t just me. Many games that wouldn’t render correctly or smoothly on a previous “gaming” laptop look incredible and run smoothly. Nicely done, MSI.

I bought this as my first msi pc, mainly for gaming, last week and I was very impressed at first. The speed, graphics, and the physical design was great. The only downside that really stood out to me was the noise from the fans, but I was quick to look past that one flaw. Other issues began to appear a couple days later, though. My screen would go dim out of no where and flicker. I checked to make sure that the auto brightness was off, and it was. The darkness and flickering of the screen got worse over those next few days, so I got it checked out at my local Best Buy. They assumed it was a hardware issue and were not hesitant to take that one off my hands and give me another. I have just finished setting this new one up and so far it is meeting all of my needs with no concerns! Besides the initial dud, I am very pleased with this laptop and its all around performance :)

I started looking for a new laptop when my other one turned six years old. I purchased one that wasn't very good so I decided to keep looking. That search brought me here, and I was AMAZED at the speed and power this laptop contained. Also, with multiple intakes and outputs in combination with the good fan, I don't have to worry about overheating(Which is what killed my six year old computer). If you need a laptop, this is the one you should get. The only downside is that occasionally the fans are a bit loud.

The laptop plugged in changes between balanced and performance every 1-2 seconds screen becomes bright then dim changing power mode witch also slows to a crawl and cannot use

Got this laptop as a replacement for my PC. So far, everything seems to be running great! I like that it's small and compact so it's easy to carry around when traveling. I got it to play Fallout 4 and it seems to run pretty good even on the highest settings, however my only concern is I've noticed the fan kicks on 5 minutes into the game and the laptop will start to feel a bit warm. Other than that it's been running pretty good. The light up keyboard and changeable color scheme is also really cool!

Battery port problem after 1 year of use. Charger does not charge laptop properly. Disconnects and keeps reconnecting and does not charge properly

I have been using this laptop for couple weeks and in my opinion this is the best laptop you can get in this price range. It can hold upto any kind of heavy games. It doesnt get hot at all even when i play destiny 2, fortnite, GTA 5 and so on. It is light and i bought it for college use. It is not that heavy to roam around in college or travelling around anywhere you want to. Overall I would say this is the best laptop i ever had and anyone can have for this much amount of price.

I originally purchased the Lenovo Legion since the specs weren't that much different than the MSI Stealth and was half the price. However, the Lenovo did not perform anywhere near the MSI so I ended up returning the Lenovo and keeping the MSI. The MSI Stealth ran faster and more efficient, it is also as light as you are going to get without sacrificing performance, the keyboard and track pad functioned smoother, and is overall more aesthetically pleasing. Excellent overall laptop.

I purchased this notebook for graphic design school, it exceeds my expectations. the screen is amazingly crystal clear. the graphics card and speed handles anything I throw at it with ease. I have only played one game on it, but it works flawlessly. It handles everything I need for school and pleasure. I prefer this over my macbook that i purchased in 2014. I will be a msi customer for life. Thank you best buy for the great sale that you were having when I purchased this notebook.

This laptop is an excellent device for the working professional. I use mine for music recording and editing, and it could not be faster. The i7 8th gen is an amazing CPU, and the 16GB RAM lets me run multiple VSTs without hitting any memory errors. Of course the 1060 has plenty of VRAM and this thing can play almost anything on high/max at 1080p. Anyone wanted a professional solution for work, or to relax and game will not be disappointed....also the keyboard is heaven.
