Great laptop for the money.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is everything I need in a gaming laptop. I am not what I would call a "tech guy" so I went with the slightly cheaper option than what was being recommended to me. This laptop plays every game I ever want to play and can do so at the highest graphics settings. It is easy to carry around and the keyboard is great.

Good Computer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was my first gaming computer. I use a mac computer as well so it wasnt too difficult to get used to. I bought this computer over the others that were offered because of the better reviews. Pros: The graphics are great! It has smooth gaming. It charges pretty quick when it needs to be charged. Storage is great. Cons: The battery life on it goes down pretty quick when playing games. It can get fairly warm when playing the games. Wish the tracking pad was a little to the right more. I am happy with my purchase and would recommend it.

MSI g63 stealth gaming laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This MSI laptop is a power house in a thin form. I have played games on it for about two months and it can handle games well. It does not get too hot and the fan is quiet even when the laptop is being pushed to perform. Things I like. the keyboard is back lite and is awesome. The color is configurable and the light is bright. The laptop came with an eight gen cpu I7 and plenty of ram to make it out of the box a great buy. no need to upgrade for now. The 15.6 is display is better than my old hp 17.3 and is still light enough that it is easy to carry. This pc really has a thin form factor but still big gaming capability. Things i do not like they moved the location of the delete key. It works fine no big deal. The webcam appears to be lower res than my old laptop but i don't use it much anyway. Overall I am very happy with my pc and recommend it for gaming and everyday use.

Great product, does exactly what you want and more
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I started searching for a gaming computer, I wasn't really sure what I was going to get. Then I stumbled upon this, and I immediately fell in love. The keyboard's coloring is customizable with a bunch of different presets which looks great just for the aesthetic, and for showing off to others. It is astounding when you compare how lightweight and easy to carry it is to how much it is capable of. Every game I've tried to run so far has run absolutely perfect, and the dual fans also aren't loud enough while playing games to be a huge distraction but do enough to keep everything cooled. The only gripe I've had so far is the battery life. It drains quite fast when you're gaming so you have to be careful with it, but it lasts roughly a few hours otherwise, so it isn't too bad. Keep your charger close by and you'll be set. All in all, I'm very happy with the laptop so far and I don't think I'll be let down anytime soon. The price isn't too high, and you're getting a great computer for it even if it does seem a bit pricey for you. I fully recommend this if you're looking for a gaming laptop, it's very much worth it.

Great Laptop for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this laptop for a about a month now and I am very satisfied with it. The keyboard is great and the RGB lighting gives it a nice aesthetic. The mouse pad is okay, but it is not the worse I have seen. I wanted a laptop that is portable, lightweight, and good for both school and games. This laptop fits the bill.

Great Overall Gaming Laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was torn between this and the MSI Stealth Thin when I initially had bought the laptop. However, the difference between the GTX 1060 and 1070 wasn't too steep for me to be willing to pay an extra $500, and neither was the single 512 GB SSD. After about 10 days of owning the laptop and using it consistently I can confidently say that it is one of the best laptops I have owned. My last one was a Chromebook that wasn't very capable of doing too much. However, this machine handles everything that I throw at it. Most newer design programs run flawlessly and newer AAA games run fine on Very High or Ultra settings. The laptop also stays pretty cool. It has only ever gotten warm for me. but it's never been too terrible. I have experimented with the fan settings, however, and the fans do get pretty loud. Also, speaking of being able to control the fans, DragonCenter is extremely easy to use and has a nice interface. DragonCenter allows you to control most of the aspects of your laptop like fan speed, clearing memory, etc. Overall, the laptop is extremely nice, and I am happy with my purchase.

Laptop is fast Keyboard is awesome, took no time getting used to it. Lighting is great. Speakers could be better but that's just nitpicking. Overall I would recommend this laptop for any student going to college or anyone interested in a portable gaming machine.

Great Laptop!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned other laptops but none have given such a great experience as this one. I does everything I need it to do and more. The games I play on occasion, it doesn't get overly loud or hot. It is an amazing machine. I did lots of research prior to getting this and with the price and specs it is well worth it.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been setting this computer up and im loving the way the keyboard feels. Great response. Screen is clear no dead pixels. Computer runs lightning fast compared to my old one. boot up time is almost non existent. Fan noise is there but nothing that is to noticeable over heavy gaming. Very customizable. .

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The msi laptop is amazing. Sure you are going to hear the fan a little bit but its ok. The preformance on this is amazing. I couldnt ask for more. I would like to say that if you are looking for a portable gaming laptop this is the buy.

Great laptop out the box
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The laptop had a great feel out the box. I noticed how slim and light the laptop was for a 15in. Other than that the notebook is very quick and I go through programs with ease. What I love the most is the keyboard, you adjust the illumination to your liking with the steelseries app that is included.

Sturdy High Quality Gaming Laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this laptop because my wife ran over my MSI GS63VR 6RF that I bought 2 years ago. The laptop survived with just a cracked screen which I replaced, and a few dents. With that being said I needed to get a new one while I wait to get the charge port replaced on the motherboard. I didn't think twice about the brand or series that I wanted. I got the same computer except it has a few differences like the keyboard lighting has so many different modes and custom options. The laptop size for a gaming laptop is outstanding, extremely light but durably built metal case. Hardly any bloatware which is what I love about MSI, they don't ever seem to have much if any on their systems. The trackpad is sensitive, I turn it off and just use a wireless mouse because of it's location the palm of my hand sometimes causes the cursor to move. The best difference between the two laptops for me are the upgrade in the speaker quality on this model. The only negative I have is that I wish it came with atleast 512 SSD.

Powerful Laptop, Great Price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop has blown all of my expectations right out of the water, but it isn't without it's slight faults. The speakers aren't worth using. The battery life is what you would expect from a gaming laptop, but it's still not great. The keyboard and trackpad take some getting used to. The keyboard was easier to use than the trackpad. Pros: 144hz refresh rate.... it's sooooo smooothhhhh 6 cores, Nvidia 1060, 16gbs ram, light for a laptop and even lighter for a gaming laptop, solid build quality.

Great little lap top
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the size and weight this thing holds its own weight for sure. It works perfect for the person who needs some performance on the go. The base loaded programs are nice when it comes to controlling the performance of the computer and the keyboard by steel series is a great little addition.

Sleek, Fast, and Impresive Features!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had this machine purchased for me to use in college. So far I'm impressed with the size/weight and speed of the machine. I compared several laptops and found this one fit my needs based on space (hardware) up gradable RAM from 16 GB to 32 GB which competitor machines had a limit of 16 GB. So far I have been able to use a high volume of CPU and not notice any fan noise as others describe and the speakers do a great job for the size. I use my laptop with my bluetooth Anker speaker and have not had any connectivity issues. The ability to connect via Ethernet/wireless was also a plus as most comparable machine only gave me a wireless connection. I will update my review once I install my text to type software and push the laptop with more applications running at the same time.

Great gaming laptop!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have never owned a MSI computer until now. But I purchased this laptop to have a better, faster, more portable gaming computer. The performance of this computer, the overall appearance of it and the adjustable keyboard lighting, and the packaging are all super awesome. I am extremely satisfied! Only had one issue when I purchased the computer, I had difficulty getting internet signal and when it would connect the connection wouldn't last long or it was slower than dial up speed, Very frustrating when I was wanting to play video games. The problem got better after all the Microsoft updates and adjusting some settings. Still have minor connection problems here and there, but overall I am extremely impressed with this computer. The keyboard is extremely comfortable to type and game on. I would still highly recommend this computer to anyone looking for a portable, high performance gaming computer. Even with the connection problem I would still give the MSI GS63 Stealth a 5/5 rating.

Great for the money, but not without its faults
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm starting college and decided to go with this laptop for the specs and portability. The i7-8750h and GTX 1060 (full, not a Max-Q card like the Dell G7) make this thing a powerhouse in terms of gaming and video/photo editing. Games also load quickly since I replaced the HDD with a spare SSD. I find the aesthetics to be a little less "gamery" than something like the HP Omen or Acer Predator, although the MSI logo can be somewhat distracting while lit up. I did find that the laptop had some bloatware out of the box such as Norton. I ended up doing a clean install of Windows 10 and that resolved the issue. It's also a fingerprint magnet; I find myself cleaning the laptop with a cloth every few days, so you may want to look for something else if that's an issue for you. The battery is disappointing out of the box, lasting for roughly 3 hours while doing light tasks. Undervolting the CPU with Throttlestop, lowering the brightness to 20-30%, and setting the profile to ECO with MSI Dragon Center helped a bit; I can get around 4-5 hours now. I'd lean towards the XPS 15 if you value battery life above all else. Another letdown is the trackpad; it's serviceable, but I find it too stiff to move around smoothly and it takes a lot of force/effort to click. I will likely use a wireless mouse instead. The speaker is also serviceable at best, but I mainly use headphones, so I don't have too much to say regarding them. One last note is that the GS63 can get loud, but that is to be expected from a slim gaming laptop. The CPU/GPU fans will ramp up very quickly if you're gaming or performing demanding tasks. Undervolting the CPU with Throttlestop and the GPU with MSI Afterburner helped with noise and temps, though; I usually hit 75°C with both under load. Still, headphones are a must while gaming. With all of that said, as long as you know what you're getting yourself into, this is a great laptop for the price.

Great entry level gamming laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far I am impressed with buying this laptop even though it is super pricey. There are cheaper laptops with the same specs by $300-$400 less. But for the additional price I am getting a thinner laptop that surpasses thin notebook computers in performance. I use this laptop for productivity 60% of the time and I am able to get 4 hours of usage time browsing the net and working on Excel Etc.\ Noise is pretty loud when gaming but I use a headset to knock out all that noise and it will get hot when gaming too but I don't mind. It is super quite and has normal temp ranges when using the computer for productivity use. If they were able to fit a 1080 TI or the new RTX 2080 in this stealth size model I will be the next customer to buy MSI brand in a couple of years.

Bought 2!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this laptop. Plenty of power to play any game on the market. I bought one for myself and one for my wife. I upgraded from an ASUS ROG Laptop that weighed about as much as a desktop. I love how lightweight this is. The keyboard feels great and I really enjoy the back-lighting.
