    Portable gaming

This is the laptop I was looking for. I wanted to be able to have a laptop strong enough to handle my gaming at home and on the go. The challenge was to be portable enough to carry around. I went through 3 laptops from Best Buy until I finally settled on this one. I was worried the screen size and bezels would bother me, but when I'm playing my game the bezels are easy to ignore. The audio is alright, but I've heard better. The laptop finish is a fingerprint magnet. The top lid already has outlines of my fingers when grabbing the laptop as well as the touchpad. However, it is not too bad to be considered a con for the laptop. If you're comparing this laptop to the Dell G7, ASUS GU501, or the Lenovo Legion Y530, you'll notice the specs are similar. The reason I chose this laptop is : portability and more SSD memory.

    Bought for Engineering

I bought a lenovo yoga laptop before this one, but returned it because its lack of ports, num pad, and memory. This laptop has ALL of the components I was looking for in a laptop for engineering. It runs my 3D modeling and coding programs easily. I love that the keyboard buttons are raised up more than other laptops to make typing a breeze. I was pleasantly surprised at how light this laptop was, even though it has so much in it. My last laptop was a Dell, and wasn't capable of doing much besides the basics (wouldn't even try gaming on it). It is a lot heavier than this laptop. The laptop feels high quality in my hands. One downfall so far, the track pad has really stiff buttons so I've had to make sure to carry around my mouse with me more often than not. I'm very happy that I returned the lenovo yoga for this laptop!

The laptop's packaging gave me high hopes and the machine out of the box only got better as I set it up. The steel series keyboard is high quality, the sound is good, the speed is very fast and it is very lightweight and portable.

When using this laptop you feel as though you are slicing through hot butter when transitioning through apps and browsing the internet. The customization is infinite. Almost every part of the MSI GS63 RE8 laptop is available to the user to customize. From the background and the sign-in screen, to each individual key, The user can make their laptop completely unique and stunning. Performance is very important for gaming computers, and it performs exceedingly well. Smooth 60fps is easily obtainable in most games and can push itself to run games at their max settings without tanking. The design of the laptop is sleek and smooth. It makes you want to make sure you clean it and take care of it. Overall, the MSI Stealth GS63 RE8 is a great purchase and it would easily do whatever you wanted it to do.

I am in love with this laptop. This laptop is a work of beauty. Ever since I got this laptop I have used it daily. I take it with me practically everywhere I go. Whether that is to my friends house to hang out or to college for classes I always have this laptop with me. I can always count on this laptop being up and ready for any assignment I need to do in a pinch. Not only that but whenever I feel like relaxing I am able to kick back relax and play some games. However, I'm not talking games like checkers or chess I am talking about games such as Rainbow Six Siege. This puppy houses some serious power. If you are looking for a good laptop to suit your needs of work, gaming, and anything else you might have in mind then no need to look any further. Because you just found your computer.

    Fantastic Value

The GS63 is an all around amazing purchase. The device is lightweight, making it a great product to use in a variety of circumstances, whether it be working on the go or gaming at home. The boot-up time is extremely fast, and you're able to turn on your computer and access a webpage in just a few seconds. The keyboard feels great and the lighting effects are fun to adjust. The only gripe I would have would be regarding the touchpad placement. The palm of my hand occasionally touches the pad due to it's placement on the left side of the device rather than the center, which causes some issues when playing FPS games at times. However, using a mouse would help alleviate this problem. All in all, the price for these components is well worth paying for, and the device is built in a fantastic manner.

This laptop is great! Boots up crazy fast and is way thinner than I thought it would be for all the power that its got. Super speedy and the graphics are great. I use it for VR and AR developing and it definitely gets the Job done!

We searched high and low for a laptop that would fulfill our business and personal needs and we finally found it. The MSI GS63 Stealth has everything we need and want. Superior 8th gen i7 processor for heavy computation, a GTX 1060 that can handle any graphics requirements thrown at it, and more than enough memory to handle the most intensive applications. On top of that, MSI went the extra mile and included four USB ports, an SD slot, an Ethernet port (unheard in laptops these days), and more. If you're looking for a desktop replacement laptop that is future-proof and then some, look no further than the MSI GS63 Stealth.

(Reviewing for headset) PROS Looks/Feels great Powerful Light weight Isn't obvious its a gaming laptop Competitive for its price range Cons Odd placement of power button (on the side) Screen can be limiting at times( at least for gaming) since its only 60hz Trackpad could be better I've had this computer now for about a month or so and i haven't been disappointed. Looks sleek and feels great quality wise. Doesn't scream gaming but isn't lacking power. Per key rgb lighting on keyboard is fun to play with. Fans can get loud but i haven't found it to be over the top. Definitely would recommend using headphones while gaming though. Seems to handle heat very well but i also haven't really thrown too much at this laptop yet. Not too many cons to list but there are a few. The placement of the power button is strange. Being on the side i could see it being possible to accidentally press. Not a huge deal but worth mentioning. The position of the trackpad personally feels a bit too far to the left but might just be me. I end up clicking with my left thumb a lot. The screen isn't bad by any means but only being 60hz don't expect the world from it Overall I've enjoyed making the upgrade and haven't regretted the decision so far. I don't think any laptop can be totally perfect but even with the cons listed i feel its a good deal. If you don't mind the price tag I do recommend this laptop.

    This laptop is incredible

This laptop is nothing short but incredible. I bought it to be used for research in signal processing and data collection, but I also wanted to be able to play AAA games. This laptop met my expectations and some, have simulated a 1 milisecond pulsar and it barely slowed and am able to play Rainbow Six Siege or Battlefield 1 at high graphics while pulling 60 FPS with no lag. There is however the draw back of battery life, 2-3 hours, less if web browsing. I was hoping for a better battery life but with a 1060 and a i7, power is going to be drained. But really other than the battery I dont have any complaints with this computer.

This laptop has a pretty good gaming performance. It is also quite light for a gaming laptop. Battery life lasts very long with school/office work. Battery life is not the best while gaming, but that is to be expected. The touch pad is a little difficult to function, but it's not too much of a bother. Overall, my daughter is quite satisfied with this laptop for both her college studies and gaming.

    Great Gaming laptop for school

I bought this laptop for college, because of its size and portability and its ability to run most modern titles at mid to high settings. Overall it performs beautifully. The only cons are that it gets generally loud, but performance is never compromised, and if you wear headphones you won't even hear it anyway. Also the trackpad is not great, but if you use a mouse, that wont matter anyway.

    A Beautiful High-Performing Laptop

My HP Envy which I had for 4-5 years ended up breaking; the LCD laptop screen popped out of its lid (don't know how it happened, I just came home from classes and went about my day as normally and POOF). I scoured the internet and stumbled upon the MSI GS63 Stealth, and I was impressed by how many positive reviews it has. After looking around on YouTube to get a better idea of how the GS63 will carry out my daily tasks (from work to school-work), I was amazed to see how this laptop checked off every box I had in mind. After purchasing this laptop, I was mesmerized by how beautiful the design was, especially the RGB (per key) keyboard. After configuring everything, I went about normally using my brand new laptop. Everything was going fine, but I started running into some issues that made my "inauguration experience" a little disappointing. After doing some diagnostics, some problems persisted, but eventually with the help of the internet, I was able to remedy all of my problems. As a casual gamer and full-time university student, I was amazed to see how this laptop allowed me to run games at high graphic settings with high FPS (all thanks to that GTX 1060!), and how this laptop allowed me to do my school work without the computer overheating. Overall, a great buy and I can't wait to see how far this laptop will take me.

Powerful compact laptop with lots of cool features

I bought this Laptop primarily for video editing. Does a wonderful job running big 4K files on Adobe Premiere CC. First Gaming computer and I love how much control you have over, fan speed, processor performance and shift settings for when on battery use. Laptop is very slim and highly portable. The case is a visually pleasing design as well as good heavy solid feel to it that shows off its great build quality. It is a great laptop with one very big let down for me. The trackpad. I'm not very computer savvy when it comes to technical terms but it really just doesn't feel right. Coming off of a MacBook Pro, it really is subpar in the accuracy and overall smooth operation of other track pads I have used. The left click and right click are not separate deattached buttons but part of the trackpad. Usually I enjoy the feel of that but not with this trackpad. Sometimes I cant tell if I single click or double click and I often hit the opposite side clicker. Since I travel a lot, I really wish the trackpad worked a little better, I use a wireless gaming mouse every time I use the laptop. Overall, I really love this computer and believe it is a significant bargain compared to the equivalent spec'd Apple products I have used in the past. The trackpad is a real bummer, kind of like having cheapo tires on a sports car, but while using a mouse, this Laptop has thoroughly impressed me.

First week with my first MSi. I had been using an ASUS ROG G750jz-xs72 for the past 4 years. Generally I really liked the 32 GB RAM and speed. I had replaced the 2 SSDs twice and the BIOS finally got corrupted and would not boot. What to replace it with? I had never heard of MSi (I'm not a gamer, I'm a scientist). Best Buy had a ROG and MSi under $2000. I decided to purchase the MSi. So far...the keyboard feels nice, it seems to run faster than my 4 year old ROG ran. I had just gotten use to carrying around my 10 pound ROG and can hardly believe how light an thin my MSi is. My biggest beef is Windows 10--I much prefer Windows 7 or 8.1. The one limitation of this GS63 model is only 256 GB as my apps will soon max it out. I am hoping I can upgrade to 512.

Fantastic thin and light gaming notebook

Went to Best Buy to buy a laptop bag and left with this great machine. For the price, it delivers great internal components in a very thin and lightweight form factor. It has a fantastic processor, gpu, and wireless card. This laptop has no problem with games and CPU intensive tasks and is kept decently cooled thanks to its three fans. The software to control performance and cooling is simple to use. The SSD has good speeds although it is not NVMe, so speeds could have been better. The keyboard is great to type on although the layout needs a little bit of getting used. The indiviually lit RGB keys are a nice touch. The trackpad on the other hand is a different story. The surface does not feel as smooth as it looks and the button mechanism feels harder than it should. The tracking is alright but, since its an ELAN trackpad, it does not support most of the Windows 10 gestures and the acceleration curves are not the best. You can find some solutions online to enable the gestures. Build quality is pretty good although the hinge could be a little better. Barely opens with one hand, which is alright, but feels a little flimsy when completely closed. The laptop is very pretty to look at. Speakers and screen are decent. Screen has good color accuracy but only has a 60hz refresh rate. Overall, great laptop and I'm very happy with my purchase.
