I picked up this laptop a couple of days ago and I can already tell that it is going to be perfect for when I go back to school. It is compact enough to carry around in my backpack and to fit on the tiny desks at school. but powerful enough to do all my work. I am a computer science student so I needed a nice laptop and I know that this one will be perfect. Can't wait to see how it does over the year!

This laptop is a great middle ground gaming laptop for the amount of power, size, and price. The design is sleek and light. Some issues running my older games such as Guild Wars 2, but it's most likely the game's optimization issues. The fan is a bit loud even when just streaming a video. The only issue this computer has lies within Windows 10 and that can't really be helped. The font of the keyboard can be wonky on some letters. It's respective programming to its hardware such as keyboard RGB can be a bit too rudimentary, Overall it's a nice looking and performing machine for the price, I am happy with the purchase. It receives 4 stars due to my little nitpicks.

I bought this for my son and he loves it. It's light and powerful and the screen looks good. The lite keyboard is nice eye candy. My only complaint is that it seems to have some bloatware but I guess that's the norm now. I had this shipped to the Best Buy store which worked well because I didn't need to have anyone sign for it at home which has been a problem on some other computers I have ordered.

I bought this laptop for school work and also to play some games with my son. It has been working great. Boots up fast and runs smooth. The slim design is nice because it fits nicely in my backpack with all my other things. The only con I have at the moment is that the space bar is a little stiff and takes more force to register than I'm used too. Other than that it was my "best buy" this summer.

This MSI laptop is an excellent choice for both college and gaming lifestyles alike. The Nvidia 1060 handles nearly every game you can throw at it on high settings, as well as running programs such as AutoCAD and Inventory with ease. The sleek black aluminum cover with the RGB keyboard also makes this laptop look very appealing. Overall this is a fantastic laptop, that I couldn't recommend enough.

The Sleek design of this machine is amazing. When I think of a gaming laptop, I think of a bulky, heavy desktop replacing rig. This laptop is nothing of those things. It has a full keyboard and a good size screen to compliment it. I play everything from skyrim to diablo 3 to minecraft and this computer can handle it all. I am very happy with this purchase and will continue to buy MSI in the future.

I was looking for a lightweight and powerful computer so i resulted on this one. I purchased the GS63 Stealth a couple of weeks ago and I mainly have used it to game for the time being. Using the Nvidia Experience for ultimate performance vs graphics results and so far, everything I've thrown at it it has been running smoothly. The touchpad could have been better but I love the keyboard. I would have preferred and faster refresh rate on the screen for the money but all in all it is a solid machine. Surprisingly, I noticed an upgrade on the ram speed. I believe the website states that the 16GB of DDR4 ram runs @ 2400 MHz but it actually runs @ 2666 MHz

I'm not using it for gaming and overall it's great. The keyboard is easy to customize once you find the steelseries engine. However, you do need to keep up with the updates as mine was out of date and it interfered with the touchpad turning on when the mouse was unplugged. Updating the steelseries engine fixed the problem. Additionally, MSI support wasn't bad as they responded to me in 24hrs, of course the update fixed the problem in that time so I never saw the support through to the end. ' As others say, the top of the laptop is a "fingerprint magnet". The keyboard setup is great and I bought it for the number pad. However, the keyboard is more condensed than I'm used to and I'm still getting used to using the fn key to access the home and end buttons. The other thing that takes some getting used to is that MSI sets up the computer to use the high performance power plan when plugged in and the balanced power plan when unplugged. Someone mentioned the loud fan and I agree that it can be loud. However, I never tested it with games, but on the MSI dragon center you can change the fan settings so that it isn't loud during a meeting which is very nice. Also, for those like me who are upgrading from your 10 year old laptop there is a battery reset button so there is no need to take out the battery in case of a freeze. Not that the MSI froze, but my old one did occasionally.

This is my third attempt at buying a laptop, and I finally have found one I'm happy with. I wish there were 13-inch laptops with discrete GPUs out there, but since there aren't (Alienware doesn't count - too heavy), this is the lightest, thinnest, highest-performance I've found. Don't be fooled by the power indicator above the keyboard - the power button is on the right side of the case.

I was in the market for a gaming laptop for my son. He's only 12 so I didn't want to spend TOO much for his first one. I have been very pleased with this purchase! The back lighting on the keyboard is an obvious win. Not only does he think it's the coolest, I can't help but to stare when I walk past it too. I was also impressed with the weight. Gaming laptops tend to be heavy and hard to tote around. This one can definitely be taken on the go. My one complaint so far is the fan noise. It does get a tad loud when they kick on but nothing a set of headphones can't fix. At the end of the day, it's a great laptop for the price in the gaming community!

This Laptop is the first gaming laptop that I have owned, and let me tell you I am definitely buying all my pc computers from msi for now on. the lighting on the keyboard is amazing and it types really well, the power and graphics in such a thin computer is incredible, this is by far the best computer I have ever used and I am extremely happy I went with this instead of a MacBook pro

The laptop is incredible, solid build, low weight, great specs, tons of features, VR ready, but at this price range that should be expected. If you're looking for a desktop experience in this price range, and a 1060 will do you fine, this is probably what you need. Fantastic for engineering, gaming, rendering, basically anything. If you can afford it, you can't go wrong with this.

This is great for playing ultimately any game you want. It is very fast, reliable, and easy to set up and get going for those new to gaming laptops. It is very powerful and the GPU and CPU stay quite cool when gaming. I am very proud of this purchase and would recommend this laptop to anyone who wants to have the power of a gaming PC, while also having the portability of a laptop!

Howdy! I am actually a freshman engineer that recently purchased this product for school. It's a really great laptop but is not always perfect. The problems I have is that when I close the laptop it still stays on instead of going into sleep mode and another thing is that the CPU goes really high with simple programs that are running. For example, I use pycharm to program python and sometimes my CPU goes extremely high activating the fans really fast for no apparent reason. Other than that, I actually really enjoy this laptop it's not that heavy it runs games as well as software smoothly. Overall, it's a great purchase!

I had ordered a Dell G3 15-3579, and was not happy with the cheap plastic build quality, and the keyboard. I returned it and was shopping around at best buy, and found this MSI laptop on sale because it was a display model. I was very happy with the look and quality, metal case, keyboard, vents on top as well as underneath. And the price of the open box model, was the exact price as the Dell, plus I got a better video card so I couldn't pass it up. This laptop runs great and I have had no issues. Extremely fast, running games at max quality smoothly. While downloading games on Origin, I immediately noticed it was downloading at 8mbps, where I couldn't get the Dell to download at speeds anywhere near 6mbps, (even after tweaking) and it was mostly ranging at 2mbps. I am vastly impressed by the quality of the laptop itself over Dell. It's so hard to find information and reviews on the actual monitor, keyboard, and case, and usually only have one photo to go off of. I wish the monitor was a little higher quality, but the next step up was just too expensive for only wanting a nicer display. The only con I have is upgrading the RAM is a pain in the butt compared to other laptops. You have to remove the entire motherboard to reach the RAM.

This is my very first gaming laptop and I am glad that I decided to pick this model as my first one! The light up keys are a great touch. It is not too heavy so I can use it for school as well. The screen size is perfect for gaming as it is of high quality. I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a mid-tier gaming laptop that provides performance and quality.

This laptop is amazing. I needed to get a laptop for college and so when I looked around I eventually settled on this one. It meats all of the requirements and then some! The processor is amazing and i can type or search anything within a few seconds. Also, the keyboard is not only satisfying it looks just as good. Overall 5 stars for quality and performance.

I was looking for a replacement to my old 2011 macbook pro. this laptop does that and so much more. the performance is amazing and the build quality of this laptop is solid and top notch. I'm having a great time playing games from steam that I couldn't have played on my previous laptop.

Great laptop, gaming is super smooth, laptop looks sleek and stealthy and most of all the computers quicks, speaker not so loud or to clear but that’s the only downside.
