    Love it so far!

So it is still brand new for me and I've only used it minimally so far. But it seemed to be the best deal I could find and is a good amount of hardware for the price. I love to game but I see that being an occasional thing only for me on this laptop. I am a Creative Director for a small video production company and video editing is my primary purpose for the laptop. So getting the most power I could was critical. But it also needed to be sleek and light enough that I could bring on site while filming to review footage or to show edits to a client for approval. This laptops specs hit all my needs. I hope it lives up to my expectations but as of now I'm very optimistic. The design is nice and I've had good experiences with Steelseries and MSI in the past. I've seen some complaints about the mouse and of course I wouldn't use it for anything in depth but it is actually very nice. I would compare the mouse to one on a Mac Book Pro. The important thing to know is that you need to go into the settings to really configure it. By default it is pretty limited and I was disappointed but after going in and tweaking the multi-touch options I've been really happy with it. If I have any negatives at all right now it is how loud the fan is when it is being pushed and the power plug location. Don't get me wrong I know this thing is a beast and it is very thin. But it is louder then I'm used to on my old 13" Alienware laptop. The power plug is located on the middle of the right hand side of the laptop. It just looks awkward and at least so far it always feels like its on the "wrong" side of where I'm sitting. So plugging it in always feels like I'm loosing 8-10 inches of cord that is now wrapped around the back. Again these are not major issues but just my overly picky gripes. I also would have loved a 4k or a higher Mhz screen for this price but the screen does still look great. To wrap this up I'll just go back to my summary of "Love it so far!", hopefully with more use and after putting it through its paces that will change to just a simple "Love it!". If powerful but portable is your goal I'd highly recommend this laptop.

    Awesome Laptop for Gaming

This laptop is awesome, but there are two things I do not like about it. 1)the power cord plugs into the middle of the laptop on the right hand side (I am a righty with my mouse) 2)expanding the Primary SSD, and the memory is a nightmare, requiring complete dissassembly of the laptop. OTHERWISE, this thing is awesome! Starts right up extremely fast. It has tons of ports compared to other laptops. Although I could care less about how thin it is (I value performance over slimness, or battery power, or other stupid stuff), it is very compact. It is a great overall laptop, and the folks at MSI were great helping me through some software issues I had after cracking the machine open and swapping hardware without doing other things first. (NOTE on that......pay the geek squad to install your new SSD if you choose to expand.....it will save you lots of headaches)

It has specs comparable to top end non gaming laptops with a better graphics card for a similar price. It is really a no brainer.

Great all around computer with nice processing

This laptop is one of the few laptops that I found that seemed to have great gaming and processing capabilities while still boasting a design that seemed that was sleek and very compact. It had a very modern and conventional design similar to those found in non-gaming laptops. However, unlike those non-gaming laptops, it offeres power that most of the buisness level computers can’t offer, making it a very great computer for software-oritented engineers and gamers. For the price, you really can’t beat it.

    Fast laptop for Architectural Software

The MSI GS63 Stealth is a great laptop that allows me to run all of the software that I need as an architecture student quickly and efficiently. As an architecture student I am running an array of softwares on my computer ranging from the Adobe suite(Illustrator-Photoshop-Indesign) to Maya, Rhino, Keyshot, Revit and others. This laptop handles all of them smoothly without any hiccups that I have experienced with other laptops. this laptop delivers PC performance that is need to run some of these programs.

Finally a computer with the capabilities to model. always been a MacBook user, but now I need to be able to 3d model some big engineer assemblies on the go, and the can do it. I need to get better acquainted with the windows UX but that isn't hard. runs great, very fast and appears to be quite powerful in the short time I've had exposure to it. will review again and update upon further trial and error.

    Love everything but the speakers

The Computer is fast and looks great. I was debating between this and the GS65. I went with the GS63 because it has the same processor and I didn't think the upgrades on the GS65 warranted spending $550 more. Everything I read was that the difference in the graphics card was negligible. I also plan on eventually upgrading my GS63's HDD to a SSD, but I was thinking of upgrading the SSD on the GS65 so this comes out as a wash. I also like that the GS63 has more ports than the GS65. My only problem so far are the speakers. The speakers are two puny down facing speakers that sound horrible. I mostly use headphones so this isn't that big of a deal. The dac that is used sounds really great when I use my headphones. I don't think the speakers warrant a full star lower, but I can't give partial stars. If I could give partial stars I would give the computer a 4.75.

    Great Laptop For the Price

I bought this laptop as a gaming/work laptop whilst on holiday in the US. Has been steadfast throughout and once you learn how to tinker with the settings can put out good frames. Plays all current games at 60fps at 1080p and pushes 30fps on my 4k TV at home. Bought mainly to play RTS on, its keyboard is nice and with the addition of a mouse is quite good. The only slight downside is the bloatware, which when removed helps immeasurably. Overall would definately recommend as a mid range gaming laptop

I bought this for video editing with Adobe Premiere. It handles the program and videos like child play! No lag, no lock ups and I've tried to make this notebook give in but it laughs at me! For the negative side? The sound isn't the best. I have seen an improvement by using my laptop stand to get more sound out and it's passable. For intense editing I use buds to stay on top. Overall, this machine is a beast and would gladly recommend it to anyone that needs a workhorse for editing or gaming.

    Perfect Balance

This computer is hands down the best laptop you can buy within the $1500 price range. I swapped computers several times these past few days to figure out if I wanted a 2 in 1 or a gaming laptop. My deciding factor was while the 2 in 1 had the portability, the MSI was thin and it made use of the CPU and GPU for gaming. Honestly, if you're going to spend anything over 1k for a laptop you need to make sure you can use it for everyday tasks and the tasks you might do once and a while like gaming.

Amazing Computer for Normal Tasks and Gaming

This laptop has blown me away. it has great battery life, way better than the last generation. When gaming it still sucks down the battery but for normal tasks you can squeeze 4 to 5 hours out of this machine. It runs AAA titles no problem when plugged in. Keep in mind you must have the plug if you want to get the full experience. But on the go gaming is still great, just have to turn down some settings. The display has great color and good viewing angles. Overall, very impressed by this new laptop.

    Excellent ultrabook-sized gaming laptop

I purchased the system to play EverQuest 2 and other old games, and it handles them flawlessly. The included Toshiba ssd works fine. 1tb WD Black for storage of large games has good performance. They need to move the DC jack from the side of the laptop to the rear or left side. The screen could be a bit brighter. They also should do away with the warranty sticker outside and do like Lenovo, putting it on a major internal part. For now I can't upgrade the SSD to my Samsung 1tb NVMe drive.

Great Laptop for Engineering and Gaming

I am a Mechanical Engineering student and bought this laptop because the best buy employee was telling me this would handle the programs the best and he was right! I am able to get many applications for free from my school and I have no problem with running them. Aside from school I love the way it handles games. I don't really play to many games that are hardware demanding so I'm not sure about the full capabilities but the ones I do have, I can run the best graphics without a problem.

After some research, I bought this laptop as a backup to my current desktop. My desktop is currently located in my bedroom, and my wife doesn't enjoy my late night gaming sessions as much as I do. So, I needed something portable and powerful, and this thing beat all of my expectations. The performance is fantastic, the screen is great, and I love the RGB keyboard. My only real complaint is battery life, but expecting more than 4 hours of hard gaming is pretty unreasonable to begin with.
