Outstanding graphics, fast and powerful and all packed into a thin laptop. Coming from a huge 17.5 gaming laptop to this I couldn't believe it could be this good. All of the reviews have been great so I purchased it and loving it. If I were pressed to say what is a negative, It would probably the heat (expected for gaming) it gives off. The turbo cooler boost fans do fix this but it is loud. However most people game with headphones on so it wouldn't bother you.

Great laptop overall. The system specs are on par or ahead of other laptops for this price. I was torn between this and the Surface Book 2 but was sold after demoing the devices at the store. I do like the versatility of the SB2 and the PixelSense display but it's not upgradable and considerably more expensive. MSI has delivered a solid product. The fit and finish looks great, definitely doesn't scream gaming laptop. Perfect for school or work with horsepower to handle demanding games. Decent size and weight for a 15in making it easy to carry around. The screen is surprisingly bright but not like the SB2. And the lack of 4k is noticeable when compared side by side but at 15in it's not a deal breaker. The MSI does a good job of switching between the integrated graphics and the GTX 1070 to help reduce power consumption. Battery life is decent for a laptop this size. A 4k panel would use more power and shorten battery life. I'm currently getting 3 to 6 hours depending on how I use it but expect that to improve slightly once the battery is cycled a few times. The included bloatware is annoying but uninstalled easily. The msi utility software is useful as well as the steelseries software. Adequate control over various system settings and profiles. The keyboard and trackpad were acting oddly at first but the issues went away after installing the latest updates. I upgraded to Windows 10 pro which was painless but word of caution for anyone installing the latest 1803 update. It took a good 2 to 3 hours to complete. At times it seemed to hang but eventually completed with no errors. Overall it is a solid buy. Hard to find another system that can beat the performance for the price. Would have no problem recommending this to someone looking for a versatile and capable device.

This laptop is a beast. The graphics rock and handle my favorite games hi-end games with ease. A major pro is this also is a respectable laptop for the office. It doesn't scream gamer with its adjustable RGB keyboard. The keys are quiet enough for me to game in bad as my wife sleeps. It can get really hot after a few hours of gaming, but I use the quality cardboard box the laptop was packaged a base. It works perfectly for me. Hope this helps anyone else.

For this price i believe we can get alien-ware with extra hard drive of 1TB for less price. Difference Thin,Ram speed 2666mhz, 144hz, sRGB lights and GTX 1070 max Q compared to alienware or other products. Think about the price before you buy. Browsing online may helps to find the one you need with less price with GTX 1070 on it. ***MSI this laptop body is aluminium not plastic**** Conclusion: No issues to get this guy but only worries me is the price.

This laptop filled all my needs and expectations. I wanted something that could play any games at high settings, but I didn't want a huge bulky gaming laptop with edgy aesthetics. This laptop is very thin and extremely light, while looking low profile and having high performace. It has great cooling, better than that of some bigger laptops. Not much bloatware at all, very quick and has another slot for a NVMe drive. So far I'm loving it!

This computer is a powerful computer it does what it says, the only problem is that it get hot very fast and in the top rows of the keyboard gets hotter. Also with the fans on gets noisy and disturbs the people around me.

This computer is a very exceptional one to say the least, perfect for a gamer/college student. The keyboard is very ergonomic; the keys have a nice push-back to them and it makes for a great typing experience. Furthermore, the keyboard customization is a great feature worth noting (currently using the rainbow illumination that can be found in the dragon center). Also, I also really like the design of the computer; it does not stand out but packs an incredible punch when it comes to gaming (can handle large games). And lastly, the display, with an outstanding 144 Hz refresh rate, is beautiful and has a very nice dimension (15"). I would definitely recommend this laptop to a friend.

This computer is awesome and does everything that I could possibly ask. It’s a powerhouse of a laptop. I’ve played many games on ultra settings and it hasn’t struggled yet. The keyboard is very nice in comparison to other similar laptops and the 144 screen is very impressive. My only complaint about this computer is the general design. Don’t get me wrong, it looks great and functions extremely well. It just feels fragile. Still giving a 5/5!

Bought the computer for some gaming and work use. Extremely light, gorgeous seen. Extremely silent and fast.

I was deciding whether or not to buy this or the new Razer laptop. However, what sold me on this device was its GTX 1070 graphics card and how it was lighter than the Razer laptop. Which was important because I will be using this laptop in college and carrying it around. This laptop does become quite hot while gaming, but that is to be expected considering what it packs in this small chassis. Overall, I highly recommend this product!

Bought this for my son for Christmas, he is an avid gamer, probably spends 8 hours a day gaming (when school and life doesn’t get in the way :)). He has had nothing but great success with the laptop. It performs as well as his desktop and gives him the ability to take full immersion gaming with him wherever he goes. Graphics, awesome, sound, great, processor and memory, FAST! This is a great gaming Lappy for the money.

I purchased the MSI GS65 (GTX 1070, 512gb SSD, 16gb RAM, 144hz screen, and i7-8750H) in June 2018. I've had this laptop for about a month now and I can say that it has surpassed all my expectations. I have had no issues with the laptop, and it performs beautifully. I mostly use this laptop to game (Fortnite, Overwatch, Dota) and do my doctorate work, and the MSI GS65 handles all that with ease. Particularly, my favorite features for this laptop is: - the 144hz screen! It is so smooth and responsive. When I went back to my MacBook Pro (Late 2015 model, 13-inch), it felt so sluggish compared to the 144hz screen on the MSI GS65 - the GTX 1070 graphics card. Gaming has never been better. This card is so powerful and makes my gaming experience that much better. - its thin profile. This laptop is so light and small. I commute a lot to work/school, so this laptop is perfect for those needs. I can't recommend this laptop enough. From a long-time Mac user, I never thought I'd be happy with a PC, but I was definitely proven wrong. If you are looking for a sturdy, powerful, and reliable gaming/work laptop in the $2000 price range, this is a great contender. I was also looking at the Razerblade Pro 15 and Gigabyte Aero 15x while shopping for a new laptop, but this one won due to its price (cheaper than both the Razerblade and Gigabyte laptops by $200-300) while still maintaining all the specs I wanted. Plus, this laptop does have an extra M.2 NVME SSD slot so you can upgrade your memory if needed (the Razerblade did not!) as well as your RAM, and I really liked those future-proof capabilities.

I'm digging this laptop! Its got an awesome screen and has handled video editing and gaming that I have done on it. The fan noise is a little louder than I would like, but it's not overwhelming. The size is perfect and it feels well built. Aesthetically it is super clean. The emblem doesn't light up, and it reminds me of a Porsche . If you're looking to drop cash on a laptop, I don't think you'll regret dropping it on this. Thanks!

This is the first time i've purchased a dedicated gaming machine, and MSI did not disappoint. It was very important for me to still have something slim and sleek but with the necessary horsepower to run all of my favorite games, with MAXIMUM settings. In fact, it allowed me to seamlessly get into VR using my newly acquired HTC Vive Pro. I highly recommend this to any gamer looking to take their gaming to the next level!

I had a series of laptops before. None have worked well performance wise as the MSI GS65 Laptop. I have built my own gaming desktop computer so I was a bit worried that a laptop would not perform as well as my desktop. After reviewing the specs on all the laptops my local Best Buy had. I was set on the MSI GS65 Laptop. Needless to say, I am very impressed with the portability, look, and performance of the laptop.

I've been through heck and high water trying to find the perfect laptop to balance my professional life and my gaming addiction, I've tried the Surfacebook 2 - 15 inch, i've tried out a Razer device and even an AERO 15 but none of them have made me feel so perfectly at home as this device has in just a few hours. The Specs, Price and Features are phenomenal! I'm a stickler for aesthetics so the black with gold trim is such a treat, my one complaint is that there's a bit of light bleed on a corner of the display but hopefully a few hot fixes will clear that up. Honestly the perfect device in this price range.

Was in the market for a laptop and after much research landed on this MSI laptop. The specs really won me over the macbook pro. I've had it for a month and extremely satisfied with the performance thus far. Full disclosure - Did not get this with the intention of playing games but wanted something with similar specs under 2k. The screen quality is very good and the keys feel just right.

I got this laptop after very extensive review of all the laptops in this segment and I am very happy with my decision. I got the best price at my date of purchase through best buy. I would recommend this to all the people who are looking for a thin, light, subtle look gaming laptop that you can carry to your work as well. Build quality is great. Spent a lot of time researching the best laptop for the price and decided on this one. It works great, the bezels are almost nonexistent. My only gripe is the laptop can get a little hot due to the metal chassis but its well worth the amount of power you get.

i love this laptop! its so thin, and the design is amazing. the performance that you get with this laptop is unreal, especially since the size of this laptop is so thin. the keyboard rgb is amazing, track pad is good. the screen i wish it was 4k but the 144hz is really good. my only complaint is storage size and i wish it had a fingerprint reader. but thats pretty much it. i highly recommend it!
